I was intrigued by this as some of my favorite YT gurus love this color. I swapped for this and was disappointed. It was just too bright and possibly too cool toned for my yellow-toned complexion. I back-2-Mac'd this.

I was so excited to get this lipstick but it was awful on me. It truly looked like I just ate spaghetti. Really sheer peachy color, super slippery and did not last at all. I returned it.

Beautiful pinky-coral shade on my NC25 (w/yellower undertones) skin. It's almost like a lipstick/gloss with how slick it is. Its lasts about 2 hours on me.
I do have a bone to pick though. Whether it's indicative to this shade or batch, I don't know but I purchased this recently (part of the Pleasureseeker collection, I think) through MAC online. In that same order I bought Venus as well. Same formula, same batch code. Well my Cut a Caper broke off at the base and I've been unable to melt it back together. (It makes me sad every time I use it because it’s such a beautiful shade, and it's harder to get color on using just a lip brush). However, happyish ending. I wrote to MAC, just to let them know about the issue, and they offered to send me a replacement (of a different shade, since Cut A Caper is LE).

I saw this on a blog and decided to try it on the MAC counter. It's a peachy sheer lipstick that gives a little color and it's perfect for using it in the day. I really like it and usually apply two coats because it doesn't show a lot on my lips.

I have a number of peachy/ coral lipsticks from Mac that I love (eg See Sheer, Pleasureseeker, Fashion City, Crosswires) and this "should" have worked on me (NC 30) but didn't. It's not bad, but just a bit too whitish milky, not flattering. Would have given 4 for the color in general, but I found that it didn't apply as evenly as other lustre lipsticks, which is my favorite formula in Mac. That was the deal breaker. Tried hard for a week to make it work but sadly had to return.

I agree with all the superlatives with regard to this lipstick. i love it too. I'm calling it a "happy color". However, I wanted to add my two cents and that is that this is extremely similar, a dupe, I would dare say identical to MAC Fresh Salmon, also a lustre finish which was part of the spring collection two years ago, Color something. Sorry not to be more exact. All this just FYI!

I am so in love with this pinky perfect lipstick. I have very pigmented lips and this lipstick is a "my lips but better" shade. I'm partial to the signature MAC vanilla scent, and this is no exception. It is creamy in application and the staying power is great. It looks soft and pretty but not overdone. My skin tone is NC25-30 for reference. Would definitely purchase again and again!

This is an incredibly beautiful lipstick. I'm a fan of nude, light pinky lipsticks but the issue for me is that I have incredibly tan skin, so a lot of lipsticks in that color range look pasty and odd on me. This light pinky peach color is very flattering on my tanner skin tone. It's a very soft, smooth lipstick and the packaging is as sleek and beautiful as every other MAC lipstick. If you like lighter nude/pink lipsticks, this is definitely one to pick up, since it is limited edition. Beautiful lipstick.

Don't let the bright color of this lipstick scare you. It's a gorgeous peachy pink that looks great on anyone! Sometimes it's more peach than pink and vice versa -- just depends on the lighting. But it's absolutely gorgeous!

I loovvvve this lisptick, new obsession! It is just a lovely peachy pink, sometimes it looks more on the peach side and other times more pink, depends on lighting. It is often compared to MAC's Everhip, which I also own, they are similar, but if your a lipstick collecter like myself, I will tell you that you need to own both! Everhip is definitely more peachy! I strongly prefer this for making that perfect " J Lo" lips! This is my J lo bronzey peachy blush look, compared to my " Kimmy K" baby pink lips with baby pink blush, I love both sooo much! I got back ups, unfortunately it is LE and so is Everhip, I am soo lucky to have access to LE items yay:) but if not no need to fret try picking up MAC shy girl :] or picking this up at a CCO, which I don't have access to unfortunately.

A dupe for MAC Skew and Smashbox Splendid, this is a lovely coral pink with a glossy finish. I love this type of lipcolor for spring/summer looks. EDIT: I swapped this one b/c it tended to look chalky on me after awhile. IDK, but it wasn't as glossy after a few months. Not sure if it was my lips or the lipstick itself.

Really pretty color! Purchased at my local CCO yesterday, however once I reached home I realized it was practically the same exact color as Mac's Ever Hip. Im totally ok with it though, as I love Ever Hip, and now I basically have a back up. This lipstick paired with Mac's Passing Fancy Dazzleglass Creme is a great combo. Perfect shade for the spring and summer.

MAC Cut-a-Caper, is a limited edition, lustre finish lipstick from the 2010 "Tarten Tale" collection. The color is a semi-opaque, pinked peach/coral. The color is quite pigmented and can be built very well. It is vibrant, but not nearly as vibrant as it looks in the tube. It has a glossy finish. It's often compared to MAC Evehip (LE) and MAC Jazzed (LE). I own both and all three lipsticks are very similar. They share the same vibrancy and depth. Cut-a-Caper has the strongest pink tone of the three. Jazzed has the most orange/coral tone. Everhip is the "in-between". It's stronger in pink than Jazzed, and more orange/coral than Cut-a-Caper. I actually like Cut-a-Caper the most of the three, and Everhip the least (b/c the pigmentation is terrible). This is a great shade for my NC37 skintone.

This is my fav colour lipstick., lovely texture and shine. But unfortunately they're not doing it anymore so I had to buy 2 more for when i run out. I'm gutted they are not doing it anymore but hopefully they'll come out with another shade that is even better.

I love coral & coral/pink lipsticks & can never have too many. I wasn't expecting to love Cut A Caper as much as I do, however. Maybe it's the moisturizing lustre formula that is saving my lips this winter yet still allowing me to wear color; or maybe it's the gorgeous way it lights up my face & eyes; either way, on me it's a soft pinkish wash that imparts a very wearable daytime lip color. It is not as pigmented as I at first thought I'd want, but it wears well (though will need reapplication sooner than other formulas) & I'm very happy I didn't pass on it.

When this turned up with my recent MAC order I was absolutely blown away by the colour ... the most magnificent peachy coral shade, I couldnt wait to get it on my lips!. I was so so sad to find that it didnt actually do much for me.
If the lipstick had been more opaque i'm sure it would have been lovely, but it seemed quite sheer on my lips. The formula is very smooth and creamy and it reminds me more of Cremesheen lippy than a Lustre. I think the problem is that my natural lip colour is quite similar, so it may look great on those with different complexions. I tried it again once i'd primed my lips and added a little finishing powder and it was much more vibrant than without a base. But its a bit of a hassle to do that for a simple everyday look. I think i'll try Vegas Volt next as it seems like it will be much better for me!

I was hoping this was peachier then it is...its more pink undertone on me. I love the formula, its definitely not a lustre but more of a creamsheen. Its bright and wakes up my complexion but not in a annoyingly in your face.
