I love this!! It has sooo many eyeshadow colors, and the quality of the eyeshadows is so velvety and they go on beautifully. It is rare to find eyeshadow that applies like that. Also, I love the colors of the eyeshadows! Then you get beautiful cheek colors and lipglosses too. I will tell you that this trunk has so much makeup in it that I will have it for quite a while, but if I ever run out, I will definatley be on ebay or sephora to get another!

The quality of these shadows are excellent. I really liked this palette; the only thing that didn't impress me too much was the design of the box...it's had to maneuver. Other than that...good product

This was my first purchase of Lorac. I am so glad I decided to try this. I love it. The colors are beautiful and really last. I also love the blush and bronzer. Very happy with this purchase

I love the eyeshadows! Its all I really use of this pallet. They are wearable and pretty. I find they last though my work day without any problem.
The lip glosses and blush I don't use. I own blushes I like much better and since you cannot take the lip glosses with you to reapply I have never tried them.

I am a huge fan of LORAC eyeshadows and so after buying and returning the disaster of a Tarte holiday kit (The Jewelry Box) I took a gamble and bought the LORAC kit. I must say the shadows in this kit are good,a medium amount of pigment and richness but not at all up to par when it comes to the regular eyeshadows in the palettes and e/s singles. The thing I love about LORAC's eyeshadows is that they're nicely pigmented and ,with shadow primer due to my oily lids, they last a long time. What got me sold on LORAC's shadows, and the most important thing IMO about them, is the super buttery soft texture and color payoff. Both are excellent and really a joy to apply as they blend well and smoothly and don't have any fall out. Sadly the shadows in the kit are a bit chalky and the color payoff is not quite up to snuff and there is also fall out so you have to pack the color on to get it to stick and quickly but the color CAN be built up and that's important. I found this odd since the shadows in the individual palettes are always that great buttery smooth LORAC quality. I think someone dropped the ball on that. Still though the shades are gorgeous, love the creams and metallic gold/copper shades, and the kit is a world of a lot better buy than Tarte's holiday 2010 kit. The blushes are all great too though I wish LORAC took a chance and didn't use just pink/peachy-pink shades. The lip colors are wonderful (!) and go on smooth and have good pigmentation ,and look good applied sheer and aren't heavy on the lips which is very important to me as nothing is worse than lip color that sits on your lips all day reminding you that you're wearing it. The last complaint is the packaging. It has a patent leather deep plum croc print on it and some silver accenting. I wish they'd just put the croc all over it as it looks so much better than the huge silver square on the lid. When I store this on the counter I turn it upside down as it looks better that way. Anyway nice item but hopefully later this year LORAC will improve the eyeshadow quality in the holiday kit if they make one. Also per the review below there aren't any brushes that come with this kit, at least mine didn't come with any. There are no spaces for brushes in the kit nor was there anything in the box except the kit. UPDATE 7/13/11 SO SAD! I returned this recently as I wasn't able to use it as I'd like. The shadows were not all consistent and NONE of them had that velvety butter smoothness that LORAC shadows usually have. The silver shadow with primer did not stick and when I'd blink the shimmer in it would fall all over my cheeks. Most of the shadow payoff was medium range sheer and the bright aquatic blue shade was like applying pale dust all over my lid. No real color payoff. The blushes were not chalky but dusty and I didn't give them any real wear because I knew that with my oily skin they wouldn't last the day. The lipcolors were great but not great enough to keep. I hope and pray that the next set that LORAC does this year will be better quality as I was let down twice last Christmas with this and Tarte's holiday set. Giving this a 1 as LORAC should have known better than to hype up such poor quality.

I think the quality of this set is pretty good, especially for a set. I mean, lord knows those things lean towards the "I shoulda' wiped my butt with the $20 I spent on this because I sure as hell am not using that crap on my face more than once!" side of things.
Anywho, if you like Lorac's eyeshadows, etc. you will like this set. The pigmentation is pretty good, and when I've used them with urban decay primer potion they have lasted really well (read: perfect at the end of the day). I love the variety of colors, both on the cool and the warm sides of the color spectrum, though on my skin the blushes are a smidge intense, but I am extremely pasty, so that could just be me.
I would have given this all 5 lippies if the dang thing had had better packaging. It is so irritating trying to use the center and bottom trays because they swing to the side to open, and there's nothing in place to stop or catch the trays on to keep them from swinging back into the starting position while you are mid sweep on an eyeshadow. Very annoying. Also the brushes are crap, but obviously, that's to be expected.
Overall, I think it's a great bargain. It's got lots of variety both in color and texture (about half the shades are matte, the other half shimmers), and you really can't beat the quality for the price. Plus, it's a natural brand, so if that is something that influences your purchasing, consider yourself influenced.

I got this after going to more than a few Sephoras to look for the UD Naked palette to no avail. I agree with the below poster that the quality of the eyeshadows wouldn't pass the test for most hardcore MUAers. But I think the quality is still great -- these shadows are very pigmented, smooth, and pretty. I got it for everyday use and with the color selection your options are limitless. The blushes are also very pigmented and pretty. I haven't used the lipsticks, but I don't buy palettes for lipstick anyway. For $56 this is a serious deal! And true to other Lorac products these shadows are formulated without all the chemicals you don't want in your makeup -- unlike those 4857435 shadow palettes of dubious quality you always find for $20 online.

I have to say that overall, this kit is nice but I am returning it. This product as 36 eyeshadows, nine lip glosses, three blushes, and one bronzer. Overall, the kit is better quality than a lot of brands big holiday products. But the shadows still arent as good a quality as the normal individual shadows. They also have alot of glittery flyaway shadows which i hate. They have four trays off shadows, nuetrals, browns, blues and purples. Pretty much every shade you will need. But nothing is overly unique or a must have. the glosses are very dry, not moisturizing at all and the blushes are nice but not as pigmented as the bronzer. I really hate the packaging. Its hard to get the kit to stay propped open on the page you need. Overall, if you wanted to buy someone a big kit, i would recommend it. Way better quality than the holiday smashbox or sephora kit. But for makeup crazy girls, this kit will be below our critical expectations! Retails for $56.

This traincase is too cute!! It has the prettiest colors ever! I'm an NC40 and all of them are suitable. The traincase itself is very portable. But, the only miniscule issue about the traincase is the magnetic closure. That's why I retracted one lippie. If you're not careful about closing, the traincase can open while being carried by the handle. You have to make sure the magnets conjoin or else you'll damage this product. I also agree with the reviewer below me with the sliding products. Yes, it should have hinges or something to hold the slide.
All in all, the positive side is that you can create so many looks. I, for one, love creating the smokey eye look. You can do it with this because it has many dark colors. Plus, they have the same exact quality as their regular e/s. They're blendable, buttersoft, pigmented, and long-lasting. I really like the blushes as well. They go with the eyeshadows perfectly. The lipcolors are good too, but they're not 100% great. I just don't care for lip products in a palette because they tend to dry out. This is a good product. I think I will buy one to give to my sister. It's pretty! I hope LORAC makes another one for next year minus the (unsafe) magnetic latch and the sliding issue.

I bought this for myself and my mother. It is great! Very cute packaging. Could be better as far as the palettes pulling out sideways, should have hinges. I would've paid more just to have better packaging but overall it works, and it very cute and compact. Will use it for travel. Eyeshadows are very pigmented and very blendable. All you need is your eyeshadow brushes and foundation, and you're ready to go!
whats included:
- 36 x 0.05 oz Eyeshadows
- 9 x 0.04 oz Lip Gloss
- 3 x 0.15 oz Blush
- 0.15 oz Duo Bronzer

My first Lorac purchase and I am very pleased!
Great for a holiday gift, and worth every penny. It's valued at $660.00 in this limited edition palette, it's a steal!
