Scent is a huge deal for me when evaluating a dry shampoo. I like this scent a lot better than Batiste's dry shampoo in "Blush" (which smells like flowers dipped in baby-powder, decaying in a sac of garbage). I happen to like coconutty smells for the summer, so "Tropical" is A-OK by me. It works fairly well. Of course, nothing compares to ACTUALLY washing your hair (with water and shampoo and conditioner)... but, for a dry shampoo, this does the job and doesn't smell too offensive (imo).

This works, even on my fine stick straight hair. I wouldn't be able to skip a shampoo otherwise. I liked the scent, too; I wonder if they've improved it since some of the more negative reviews were written. It is a light, powdery coconut scent, not unlike Herbal Essence 'Hello Hydration' conditioner.

Horrible. The smell, the price ( Australia) and the amount of product, the feel, just everything, i don't think i have anything good to say about this.
I notice after a a little while ( hour? ish) i feel my hair and it feels strange, un sure how to explain it.

Feels bumpy? Like i have stuff in my hair ( mostly under my hair and the roots/ hairline. Like dandruff almost! It's gross for lack of better wording.

It's been awhile since I've written my last product review...and I must say, this Batisse Dry Shampoo is SOO great, I had to write a review. It is one of the very very few things that I've stayed brand loyal to. I purchase my Batisse at Winners/ Marshalls and pretty much anywhere I can get it on sale. The bottle is relatively small, but lasts at least 2-3 months...and I use it every other day.

I have fine black hair with bangs that usually gets really greasy and flat within a day. I used to wash my hair everyday because my bangs would just lie limp on my forehead!! But now, I give a generous spray of shampoo at my roots and comb my hair upside down to give it some volume!

I really love my Batisse...I'm probably on my 7th bottle of this!!! The Tropical scent is OK too. I personally like the original better...but this one was on sale and the scent is not overpowering.

This is my favorite drug store dry shampoo! I love that it is pina colada scented and often have people comment that they smell coconuts when I'm wearing it. I like the fact that it doesn't leave a gross white haze on my dark hair. Last time I bought one it was the very last one on the shelf that wasn't opened already and I actually had a bit of a fight over it with my friend (I obviously won!). I don't find it leaves my hair looking ungreasy for as long as some other dry shampoos, but I can touch up a few times a day with no build up so for me it is perfect. Love it!

I LOVE this! I have been using batiste for a while, I have tried the original and the one in blush but this is my favourtie and I got it yesterday. It has a lovely cocunutt-y fresh smell that does stay in your hair and lingers a bit, but I don't get why this is such a bad thing?

As always, it did get rid of the grease and it didn't leave a powder residue behind. Took off a lippie because with all dry shampoo sprays, you need a lot of sprays to get the desired effect. Therefore you use A LOT of product and so need to repurchase this very often. Also there comes a level of greasiness where dry shampoo just seems to have no effect any more (your hair might not even be that greasy). Because of this I'm thinking of trying the lush powder shampoo for the amount of product you get.

Nothing special. It leaves a white powder, even after brushing off. I prefer Lee Stratford Poker Dry spray, for the quality and for the smell. If you've tried Lee Stratford you'll not get back to Batiste.

I love this. I have normal hair but can get very dry due to bleaching. I have keratin bond extensions in so I don't always like to wash my hair as it can weaken the bonds. I use this twice a week and it really refreshes my hair, and leaves it feeling so clean and has a great smell! I like the Blush smell too but this is super fresh and coconut like. There are coloured sprays in the range also but i don't think they are necessary as if you apply a small amount of the product you won't get white powdery hair. I'd recommend to anyone with extensions.

Love this product!! I've used a few dry shampoos and this one is by far the best. I don't notice a particularly overpowering perfume like in other products, and it doesn't linger either. Doesn't leave any residue. I love dry shampoo as I have thick waist length hair and my ends dry out if I shampoo more than 1-2 times a week. Will totally buy this again!!

This works well but I can't get past the fragrance. Don't get me wrong, I love Coconut but this is SO STRONG and it lingers for HOURS in your hair. I feel like this clashes with my perfume so I can't use this as often as I'd like to. Too bad because it's an inexpensive and effective dry shampoo which I think performs better than Klorane. If you're a keen coconut fragrance lover, you need to try this!

This is my first time trying out dry shampoos and I am very picky about fragances. I must say, I really liked the fragance of Batiste Tropical. It is a very subtle coconut fragance, not too sweet or overpowering. The product itself does it's job, it absorbs the oiliness of second or third day post-shampoo hair and my hair is no longer a greasy mess at the roots on the days that it's due for a wash. I must also add, that I am a brunette and I did not have a problem with this product making my hair white... just a little spray per section is good followed by massaging of the scalp to shake off any excess product and absorb the oils. I have also tried the Batiste Blush and the fragance is a a too sweet flowery scent. On another note, I do NOT recommend the TreSemme dry shampoo, it's wet, leaves the hair sticky and, worst of all, it stinks!
Edit 6/23/11: after using this product for some time, I have gotten really sick of the smell. It is like a too sweet smelling cloud that follows me around. The product itself is good and does the job, but I am downgrading it to 3 lippies because of the smell and also because I get product buildup and dandruff if I use it for more than a day.

I bought this because I had been wanting to try it out for ages and I suddenly saw it was available in a shop near me so I jumped on the opportunity.

I first started with the original scented one. But the smell was nothing special so I decided to try this one out as I had read great reviews on another website a while back.

This one smells like coconut, I'm not a big fan of the smell to be honest but I get compliments each time I use this.

The product in itself is awesome. just shake the bottle and spray it on to your roots. Then brush till the powder isn't visible anymore. Your hair looks clean and smells coconutty, and it actually helps with giving a bit of volume to your hair, this stuff fluffs up my bangs and actually tames them quite well.

There isn't a whole lot of product in the bottle, I'd say you can get approximately 3 whole head uses in a can. or a bit more if your scalp is a little less oily or just oils up in certain places more than others.

Overall a great product. I wouldn't be buying the Tropical one again as I don't adore the smell but I'll def buy the "Fresh" fragrance one again.

This is a really good dry shampoo. I got it for free in a sample bag, and I am so glad I did because I had been wanting to try one but I'd been too stingy.
And now I realise that dry shampoo is a miracle product. Haha.
I have very fine hair, and my fringe/bangs get limp and stringy by the end of the day, no matter what I do. I wash my hair daily and it's just a fact of life. Which means that until now, if I was going out at night, I would have to rewash at least my fringe.
NOW I just spray a couple of blasts of batiste into it and WHOA volume and freshness!!
I love it.
The only thing I don't love is the smell. I am really not a fan of tropical coconut smells. That's the only reason I put will not repurchase. I will probably get another one in a different scent when it runs out.
I also have the Paul Mitchell dry shampoo and that one smells really nice but it's not *quite* as good as the batiste.

I can't understand the bad reviews on this product! It's fabulous! I use it to freshen up my hair between washes, I use it at the roots and rub it in and it makes my hair seem a lot fresher and non-greasy! It's a life saver on camp or even when you get up late and can't wash your hair. I love the smell and the feel it gives my hair. It's also a lot cheaper than the other big brands dry shampoo's which don't work as well.

Picked this up to freshen up my hair at work when my hair looks limp from conditioner/hats/city dirt. This did nothing to freshen up or fluff up my hair. I didn't particularly like the scent either. The "pros" were that it comes in cute little portable spray and was cheap.

PROS: Works so well. I spray at roots only and then tap with my hands to sort of work in. Absorbs excess oil well. As long as I tap where I've sprayed this, it doesn't leave white powdery film like others do in my medium brown root area.

CONS: The tropical is just too weird to have sun tan oil smell with hair, IMO. I prefer the original scent a bit more. This does run out quick, so I buy at least two cans when I got to Sally's Beauty Supply. Does leave just the lightest film of powder, but when I tap it in, it goes away easily and quickly.

APPLICATION TIPS: I only spray at the roots cause that's where I need it. ;-)

ALTERNATES: Have now found Suave's dry shampoo to be superior to this in having a lot less white residue and the smell is better.
