Oh, how comes this good moisturizer has these low ratings?
I was at first a bit doubtful as the testure is thick and having olive oil I thought "this will be too rich and will break me out":
I was wrong!
This is an excellent moisturizer for winter (I have combo skin, I wouldn't use this in summer when my T zone gets shiny!), I was surprised on how fast it sinks into the skin! it really soaks in, leaving your skin velvety and soft.
I applied in the morning, w/ foundation on top and my skin behaved properly (no oliness at all).
I am really positively surprised. The only downside (a part price, Perricone's stuff is so expensive) is the smell: as it contiains DMAE, it has this weird "anchovy/ fish" smell that is not relly pleasant... but it goes away fast (unlike other Perricone stuff).
If you need a good moisturizer, this may well be for you.

My combo skin liked this rich and nourishing moisturizer. It was a bit hard to overcome the rancid smell, but it faded quickly and my face felt really healthy and happy afterwards. Strangely, my skin doesn't feel nor look greasy even though this lotion is very rich.

I have to say this is my new HG moisturizer! I was originally using it only at night because it felt heavy, but then realized I was probably just putting way too much on than needed. A little goes a long way with this one. I have sensitive, break-out prone skin that is sometimes oily, sometimes dry, and have had no breakouts or problems with this product. This stuff has repaired scarring and imperfections in my skin. I now use it both during the day and at night. The ingredients include olive oil, but also DMEA, green tea, and copper - all which are key to great skin care. Some others have mentioned a rancid olive oil smell - I do not notice this at all. I think it has a nice, clean scent with just a hint of olive oil - I love olive oil though, so this does not bother me one bit. Will definitely repurchase. This product is a god-send!

I really do love this moisturizer. I have combo to dry skin not to mention extremely sensitive. I've used this product for over a year now and still just absolutely love it. It's a bit much for me to use in the summer with the humid climate but in the drier winter climate it's perfect. During drier times I use it as both a day and night cream but I mostly use it at night. A lot of products make my rosacea flare up and this is one of the ones I've found that calms it down. But what I like best about this is that it leaves my skin baby soft and smooth. It gives it a certain smoothness and youthful appearance that keep me coming back to this product over and over.

A ho-hum moisturiser with a fairly unappealing smell of slightly rancid olive oil. I imagine the slightly thick cream texture would be appreciated most by those with normal to dry skin, though it does apply and absorb relatively well. Skin doesn't really feel particularly calmed, evened or hydrated.

Reviewing the samples of this I received. First off, I could barely get past the weird smell. Second, after one night of use, I was left with more than one whitehead. I'm trashing the rest of this!

I received a few samples of this at sephoras. I like it even better than the regular perricone moisturizer and plan on buying this after I finish the one I already have. I woke up with non greasy smooth skin.
I switched the the Lipid replenishment instead of this. Strange but the olive oil started to leave me greasy. Love the lipid replenishment! HNG why oh why cant I for once like the cheaper one?

Well, I really like this stuff. I've been using it for about 5 months now and my skin tone is more even, my pores are smaller, and most importantly my makeup looks wonderful over it. I break out easily so I was hesitant to put anything that has "oil" in the product name. Happy to report that this doesn't contribute any acne at all. Considering the size of the jar (2 oz), I thought this wasn't such a bad deal. Most higher end brands give you less than this for the same or more money. Had to take away a lippie because it doesn't offer SPF protection, and I would appreciate an air-tight pump.

I use this moisturizer, because I have sensitive skin, and his other moisturizer, he recomends for Combo skin, made my nose run! Weird! This is a magic moisturizer, and works well with the whole combo/large pore program. I LOVE the smell, its earthy, good.

Well, I can't really out-do the review below! I pretty much feel the same way, too expensive and not a great enough product. It's mediocre. Does the job, moisturizes, but not spectacularly. I wouldn't buy again.

I received a sample of this product when I inquired (Sephora) about the Olive Oil Cleanser from the same line. I did purchase the product afterwards because I liked how my skin felt after using it along w/ the Cleanser, and I am always on the lookout for a daytime cream to use in place of my beloved CdLM.
Scent:
* Very light, but not indicative of what you’d expect from a product with olive oil (I am using L’Occitane Olive Oil Harvest and household EVOO as a frame of reference).
* While I wrote the same thing re: scent for this product as I did the Olive Oil Cleanser, the scents are not the same.
Texture:
* A nice, but not spectacular cream. I used this for several days (daytime only) w/ good but not miraculous (to justify the price) results. I’ve had similar results w/ the Kiehl’s UFM and LM Mega Moisturizing Cream, and both are less expensive.
I have had the same jar since the near end of July (2002) and after a week, this is on a rotating basis w/ other light moisturizers.
I will definitely not repurchase.
Why It Didn't Score all 5s:
* The price is about $65USD for 2 oz.
* Results do not justify the price.
