Though I wanted to love it, and it has good ingredients (these silicones are somewhat water soluble), even using two teaspoons of it a day with nothing else on my wavy blonde hair left it dry to the touch and still frizzy (though maybe a little better).

If it didn't have any silicones in it I'd be impressed.

I don't seem to like this product. It weighed down my hair and it not do much to bring down most of my frizz after using a hair straightner. I ended up having to use more than I wanted and it made my hair greasy looking with some left over frizz. I want to use more organic products however, I've used non organic serums before with better effects. I have thick, dry curly hair & straighten my hair at times.
It is not a cheap serum either that's in a smaller bottle.
I found another organic hair serum that worked better than this one.

I love this! My mom bought it for her fine hair, and she said it weighed it down too much. I have really thick, course hair. Before I cut it short, I used to straighten my hair all the time. I didn't use an especially good straightener, so my hair would get frizzy. This was my miracle product, and I still use it all the time, even with short hair! The key to using this product is to use a very very small amount. It even says so on the back! It really smooths down your hair and makes it so soft. I also really like the smell of it. My favorite way to use this is to rub a small amount (think smaller than a pea, and I had hair a little above the small of my back) between my palms and run it over my ends very lightly and using very little product there. I don't get split ends, so I didn't use it there very much. I then apply the rest of the product to my shorter layers, which were more damaged. That part of my hair has been damaged for as long as I can remember... maybe it's just curly there? Anyway, I would finish this up and my hair would feel like silk. Then I would use John Freida's frizz ease finishing cream on top, which is more of a temporary frizz fighter. The two of them combined smell amazing, especially used with Tressemme's Heat Tamer spray. I would get so many compliments on how amazing my hair smelled and looked and felt when I used this! Definitely a HG item for me... and even though it's a small bottle, it lasts a long time. I've been using one bottle for 3 years now... definitely worth the purchase!

I loved how silky and smooth my hair is when I use this. A little does go a long way idk if when people say it weighs their hair down, it's because they are using too much or not but it seems fine on my hair. My hair is fine and very straight and it's didn't weigh it down. It took the frizz away with a gently scent that I really enjoy.

I did not like this. It was too heavy and greasy for my hair. It is very thick and sticky, and I did have to wash my hands about 4 times to get the residue to come off. I would not buy this product again.

i used this together with the whole series of smooth as silk. my frens commented that my hair looks less frizzy which i think is mainly due to this product because the shampoo and conditioner dried my hair out n now i have a full head of split ends...

I LOVE this stuff. I have crazy curly hair that prefers to be out of my control, but this frizz serum keeps it in check. I put this on everyday! The trick is to not use too much and put it on, starting at the ends, when the hair is still very damp. Sometimes I even put it on my ends when my hair is dry after I have straightened or styled it with hot tools. It keeps my hair healthy, shiny, and with greatly reduced frizz.

UPDATE: while I haven't been using it on my hair too much lately, I figured out that of all things, it makes an excellent face primer! Just compare the ingredients with other high end primers out there and you will see!

I love this stuff! It really helps the frizzies. My hair is dyed, and I live in a humid climate. This really works and is a nice natural product. Lasts ages too and you just need a tiny amount.

Talk about bad. This just left my hair greasy and weighed down and more susceptible to frizz.

I expected more considering the shampoo and conditioner work great in my hair.

but no. also was upset at the amount considering the price. So not worth it. Go get Biotera products instead!

I like this product. You get a fair amount in a bottle. Giovanni claims to be the more "natural" hair products out there and they are fairly easy to find so I have a few of them. I enjoy using this one, it gets rid of the frizzies like any other silicone product and does not have an overwhelming smell to it.You just apply a pea size amount and since I have long hair I try to put more on the ends which tend to be more dry. I will also say that I use another cheap similar product from asia and it works just as good.

This is better than the John Frieda frizz-ease. I like it because when I want waves, I can get them without frizz - I've never been able to do that with any other product! Also I can apply it to my dry hair and - though it looks wet at first - my hair dries without frizz. Love it!

Nice serum, keep frizz at bay. Not sticky but it is pretty thick. I like putting this in after leave-in and letting my hair air dry to natural Gisele like waves. Works just as well as my beloved Oscar Blandi Jasmine Serum, thought it doesn't have the lovely smell but it is much cheaper. Nice green option for a good price, I found this at a health foods store for $8.

A nice anti-frizz serum. Not cheap, but the bottle lasts me at least six months.

It's much better than I thought it would be. I really have been missing having a frizz-serum like this ever since I started going green 3 years ago, But then I read about this on makeupalley and ordered it as fast as possible. use it together with the smooth as silk s/c and the direct leave in and IT makes my hair so soft, smooth and shiny. and It's great if you like using a flat iron. I put it in both when it's dry and wet.

I really don't like this product. I bought it after falling in love with Giovanni through their scrubs, but this is awful! The serum is really, really sticky and oily--like lube--and while it calmed my frizzy hair a little bit, I had to wash my hands at least three times to get the serum off of them. Which really dried them out in the winter. Ick. Back to John Frieda's Frizz Ease gel.

This stuff is AWESOME. I used Frizz Ease and Biosilk for years and they don't even come close to doing what this has for my frizz. The others helped but I always had a crown of frizz at the back on my head. With Frizz Be Gone, I have pretty, defined waves with very few (if any) flyaways. I'd pay double what this costs without batting an eyelash. I love the way it smells, too, I wish I could figure out exactly what the scent is, I want to wear it as perfume!

Been using this stuff for years. I love it! What other reviewer says about grease in hair - my trick is to apply it to towel-dried hair before blow-drying. It makes my hair shiny, manageable, soft and not frizzy. If someone has wavy hair, it won't make your hair straight but it will defrizz it. It's not a straightening product in itself, but you can use it in combination with one.

If you apply it to dry hair, then really watch how much you put in. I squeeze a pea-sized amount onto my palms and rub them and THEN gently apply to hair without concentrating on one area too long. You won't get greasy hair that way.

Also, this product doesn't contain greese - like many 'shine serums' it has dimethicone which is silicone. Silicone is main ingredient to make your hair shiny and not frizzy.

Price is right, cheaper than many upscale brands and it performs just as good. I also love the smell of it. And big plus for me is it's not tested on animals and has no animal ingredients.

I'm almost through a bottle of this. I have short, very thick hair and I live in a place with high humidity. Pretty much a recipe for frizz. It does an "eh" job of defrizzing--it's not like it doesn't do anything, but it sure doesn't do much. What I dislike the most about this product, though, is when I applied it, even with a small amount, it looked like I had just applied grease to my hair. Spreading it through the hair helps, but after that's done, you have to wash it off your hands, which is a bitch. I guess it's the oil. I have to wash my hands first, scrub them with a brush, and then wash them again. Hardly worth it for the results. I won't buy this again.

P.S. Clare735--I read your comments and though I completely respect your opinion of the product, I should point out that I have used it before blow-drying after towel drying and have rubbed a small amount of the product to dry hair after rubbing my hands together. So I stand by my opinion.
