I love this eyeshadow quad! The colors are beautiful for any skintone and eye color (but seem to look especially great on blue eyes) and I agree with the other reviewers, despite the apparent sparkle to them, when applied, the shimmer is pretty, not disco-ball. The only complaint I have on these is that I prefer the square-pan format Chanel eyeshadows normally come in for the US. These are the round-pan, "baked" eyeshadows that are sold in the rest of the world and although they do blend fairly well, I prefer the more velvety texture of the the US versions. This one seems to make more of a mess when a brush is rubbed on the shadow surface. I heard a rumor that Chanel was trying to consolidate and only make one version of their eyeshadows throughout the world and they are trying to test-market to find out if the US will take to the "baked" version. I am not a fan, although, as I said, this particular quad is still very nice.

Very nice for cool coloring. A few people stopped me and asked me what MU had on, because it truly enhanced my coloring ( blue eyed, NW10). Chanel eye shadows are long wearing and apply smoothly, as they are buildable. A definite good, solid purchase. am not sure if it would work all that well on warm coloring, though.

OMG! Love the colors combination...all the 4 colors are great! At first, I thought it can only be wear for party because it is too sparkle at the first stroke, but it is not after a while. Nice for brown smoky eyes, and also for day make-up. Color stay true all day. Would buy this again! Too bad it is LE.

I'm NC 30, warm and yellow toned. This is part of the holiday 2010 collection. A off white cream colour which is great as a highlighter (not too shiny. I totally dislike too shiny highlighters); a shimmery neutral pink; a most gorgeous shimmery warm brown; and an equally gorgeous darker brown. I apply the lighter brown all over the eyelid and blend the pink on top of light brown. Then I use the dark brown as a crease and outer V colour. Be careful with the dark brown, it is super pigmented. I dabbed my crease brush in like I would with say, the Kaska Beige quad, applied it, and I was like "Whoa!!" Sooo pigmented, and I had to do some serious blending after that. Colour payoff for all 4 colours is superb. Lasting power is also very great (I use Nars eye primer). And when I looked in the mirror in night lighting, I saw that there are fine purple flecks in both browns which I deduced could have been from the pink colour (Not so sure. I failed my 'The Origins of Colour 101' class.) The effect is really very nice! Great for smokey eyes, more pigmented and smouldering than Kaska Beige. The shimmer in this quad, for me (at 41), is very palatable and not OTT. Totally recommend!

I bought this about 2 weeks ago when it first came out. At first I thought it would be too sparkly, but it's not. It blends beautifully. The colors create a really pretty smoky eye. The colors are very flattering for hazel eyes. Chanel shadows seem to last all day but are a bit pricey.
