The product seems to work providing a good hold. What I dislike about it is the color. I am a brunette with quite dark yet not black eyebrows. Yet the product shows up way too red on me, so I think it would suit auburn haired people more. The product also has a bit of shimmer in which is not necessary in my opinion.

I have dark, bushy eyebrows. My hair are naturally lighter but recently I decided to go even lighter and I decided to get tinted brow gel in Beguile.
-The packaging is very simple, the brush could be a little smaller, also the product gets clumped on the top.
-The consistency is very nice, its very very longlasting- it doesnt smudge, it stays on even during cross training and rain!
-The colour is okay, its not reddish and glitter generally doesnt bother me but recently I got pictures from gala taken with flash and on some of them it looks like I had strokes of gold glitter.
Overall its a great product but if I would find one with smaller brush without glitter I would replace it.

I bought this in Beguile and it is OK. as far as adding color and tint to my brows, this browset delivers. But i was hoping it would also add lift and shape to my straight asian brow hairs, and it didn't. I prefer to use Anastasia's brow gel. I don't think I will repurchase this.

I'm Asian with black hair and eyebrows and I've been on the hunt for the perfect brow mascara for months. I'm not really a makeup junkie, I just buy those that I need in my kit and since I personally think having perfect eyebrows is a must, I've invested on eyebrow products more than anything else in my makeup kit. I came across Beguile in a blog from another Asian girl with the same hair and eyebrow color as mine and it did wonders on her eyebrows! I just got mine a few days ago and it's perfect! I fill in my brows first with a Shu Uemura Hard 9 brow pencil then set it with the Beguile Brow Set. Color is amazing! It softened my features and the color is just two shades lighter than my hair color. It's perfect, I will repurchase again and again! :)

Bought this in Beguile based on reviews here. The colour is a little too dark for my medium blond hair. I find that the brush comes out of the tube with too much product on it to be used directly on the brows. I used it a little when my hair was died a little darker. At that time, I applied it with an angle brush. Overall, I find it doesn't really work for me because it's too wet and doesn't really hold my brows in place.

I do not like this product. Looks shimmery on my brows.. Maybe I got the wrong color I don't know but the MAC staff in my area could have cared less to recommend something. The wand pulls out too much product and I was having to wipe it off on my hand. The spoolie should be tapered so you can control the width when smoothing it in. I just didn't like the way it felt like putting hair gel on my brows.

MAC Brow Set in Beguile
I love this stuff, having been "blessed" with THICK and long eyebrows, I don't really need to fill in patchy parts as much as keep my eyebrows in place to maintain the line. I'm blonde and my eyebrows are not that light, but seem to have weird little blonde highlights running through them which look like bald patches... this gel covers them and keeps brows in place all day. I also love that the formula has a bit of subtle shimmer so that the finished result still looks like natural hair, not like you taped your brows on.
On the MAC site, it says that 'Boy Girl' is the shade for blondes, but if you're like me and have very cool toned hair and skin anything with even a hint of orange looks freakish. Beguile is a nice taupe that compliments my coloring perfect.
Do try this out at home first, when new the tube dispenses A LOT of product onto the wand and things can get a little messy and over the top. Apply with a light hand. I'm on my third tube and I've used it daily for many years, it's the only thing I'll use on my brows.

Great product--does the job of smoothing and filling in brow hairs. Pencils sometimes make my brows look too dark--even when I buy the lighter shades--plus they don't smooth/set the individual hairs. This stuff does it all quickly. You just have to be careful when you pull the wand out--sometimes too much product comes out--just like happens with mascara--so just scrape it a bit to remove excess.

This product is very easy to apply and gives my brows a lot more definition. My only complaint would be that when you pull the wand out it has a lot of product on the top and bottom of the wand that you have to take off before application, that is why it only gets 4 lippies.

My eyebrows are a bit sparse and thin (due to years of overplucking). Even though they've started to grow in, they aren't very defined and tend to disappear on my face. The ends tend to stick up every which way.
I've used powders and liked them except it doesn't help the hairs stay in place. Waxy pencils are better for that but I don't like how harsh they can sometimes (and easily) look. I really like this brow gel because the color is good (Beguile works for my blonde hair) and my hairs stay in place. It takes much less time to apply than powder or pencil. I really like the smell as well.

After several threading misfortunes, I decided to do smt about brows. I was using eyebrow pencil, but i find the effect kind of hard. and also some pencils are not soft at all. I was just passing by Mac when I saw their brow gels. Beguile is a taupe mascara for eyebrows, easy to use. In the uk it costs a tenner I think. I have dark brown eyebrows so the effect was natural. It is a nice product but better suited to blondes. I think that it d be better buying a cheaper version from body shop or just use plain mascara.

I have this in Beguile. The color is good, although darker than my Stila powder in fair, and it's a nice product, but honestly I could live without it. It does make my brows appear fuller as I brush it up into the brow, so if you're plagued by thin brows, you might love this. Even after I wipe off product with tissue and then apply, I still can get Caterpillar brows, and so I only apply to either the first half (fuller) part of my brow, or the last half, the thinnest part, to give them some umph. I think I like the Stila duo powder in fair better, although the foam application thing is the pits and you have to use a brow brush to get any definition. It's just harder to get too much with the Stila powder, it's more fail-proof for me. I didn't really notice the sheen factor which was what attracted me to Beguile. I love the softer look of a light colored brow product on my dark hair. You'd think the color would disappear, but it doesn't.
Update: 5/28/09 - This covers a few white hairs in my brow. I've been using it every day now.

MAC Browset in Beguile:
This is now my daily brow gel. I was previously using a clear mascara to set my dark blonde brows. Since I have colored my hair dark brown, the extra color this gives looks just right. This is a cool dark taupe color with subtle glow to it, so it shines like the hair would. Sometimes I go too long between trimmings, and this tames the crazy hairs very nicely. It doesn't set too hard or soft (Goldilocks says "just right"), no flakes, no smears. I got it at a CCO for nine dollars or so, but I would pay full price for it. $13 is not bad for this quality and the tube has lasted me three months and counting. Love the browset.

Best brow product. Ever.
This is a natural blonde/taube mascara for brows that is not waxy, imparts a natural glossy dark blonde color. It is so much better than using a brow pencil or shadow. You can throw out all your other brow products.

My eyebrows are thin and the color is dark blonde, but I have been searching for something to just enhance them rather than darken them. With most brow sets, I usually get akward dark brows that do not suit my features. With beguile I get a lovely, soft effect while my brows look thicker and shinier. For more impact, I sometimes use a light eyeshadow ands this on top.

I bought this in beguile and later I bought mink which is a darker brown but not hard. I mix them for a natural look. They keep the one part of my brow that grows downward in a brushed up position better than brow wax does. Nice product-if too much comes out of the tube on one spot I Q-tip it off.

Beguile -
Having been using ordinary dark brown mascara on my brows for years, I was doubtful when the MAC MA recommended Beguile. But wow! HG city! It's a lovely, natural taupey color, with just enough highlights to make it look natural, like real hair-color. My brows have been thinning a bit over the years and anyway are quite a light brown; now at last they look totally natural, just... well, like My Brows But Better! They go so much better with my mid/light brown hair, and suddenly I don't have that fierce look that came from startlingly dark brows. DH, who's heavily into the natural look, tells me that my brows "look so much better without makeup" - so it's just my little secret that I'm wearing Beguile now ;) !

I have dark eyebrows of medium thickness and my hair is one to two shades lighter than my brows. My reason for using brow gel is to neaten them and to soften their colour slightly. Beguile is a good shade for the softening effect (taupe) and the gel formula achieves a groomed but natural look. The wand is very mascara-like. The brush is well designed for its purpose. I take excess colour off the tip, hold the brush horizontally and lightly sweep the colour across my brows. If ever I'm a bit heavy-handed I simply use another brow brush to take off any excess. The gel has a drip-free consistency but isn't sticky. Very nice product.

I just perm my hair into light blonde and I couldnt standerd w/ my dark black brows...I looked for a brow gel from bobbie brown, nars, shiseido, Shu Uemura and Make Up Forever, BUT none of them have a gel which match w/ my hair..finally I get this from MAC..it's natural and easy to handle...and I dun have a feeling of gresy..also, it's CHEAP...only HKD100 (i.e. USD13) I love this brow gel very much!!
