This product is okay. It does not have a "wow factor." It looks beautiful in the tube, but the color pay off once applied is a fail. It is very sheer for a matte lipstick, and it can be rather streaky. It looks good paired with a gloss, but still is nothing special. I wish I returned it. I had bought it on a whim because a makeup guru on youtube suggested it. Maybe if it had a decent formula I would how gave it three stars.

I approached this differently than most of the other reviewers. I was looking for a light-med, cool-toned wearable pink. I had a brief obsession with a HE product (Hourglass lipstick in Ballet) but when I tried it on in Sephora it wasn't what I expected. I did like the shade but it didn't thrill me so I started researching similar shades from the drugstore. This one came up, looked nice, and was easy to find. I picked it up & I love it. I wear this several times a week now. I do layer it over balm & sometimes add extra balm on top (since I wasn't really wanting a matte look).
No complaints & I feel satisfied enough with it to stop looking for a replacement

Funny, when I initially bought this lipstick, I tried it on once, and immediately wanted to chuck it into the wastebasket. Too sheer, has a funky 'candle-wax' texture, dried out my lips like prunes. Totally NOT what I want in a matte lipstick. I almost threw it out one day last week, but then I started watching one of my favorite YTers, and she wears this in a couple of her tutorials, and heck, even included it in her 'pink favorites' video, so I said 'Why not?' and gave this another shot. With exfoliated lips, and a moisturizing balm underneath, Stormy Pink is actually quite beautiful on my NW15 complexion, and can work for me! It can be worn very sheer, or built up to the color in the tube. In its full opacity, it's a bright pink, but it's not 'in-your-face-hey-look-at-me!' at all. It's very wearable for everyday, in fact. It's a gorgeous healthy pop of pink. I still hate the texture, but I can work with it. This magnified my flaky, exfoliant-deprived lips when I first tried it on, and that's probably the reason I thought this was drying my lips out. I don't have that problem now. Looks stunning with a smoky eye, or light shimmery 'diamond' eyes. It lasted about 2 hours on me without touchups. I doubt I would repurchase, though. But it's nice for a one-time around lipstick! I give it a 3.5 :)

I have 3 of the matte revlon and of the three I have (pink pout, sky pink) this stormy pink is the least pigmented but it is also the brightest or darkest color though. It takes a whole lot more layers to get to be close to the color u see. But for some reason I really love it! I actually love all 3. The revlon mattes feel much dif then any other matte lipsticks I own. You can fell they are matte because they have a lot of silicon in them instead of making them matte by adding more pigment. But this makes them a true matte, meaning there is NO SHEEN like u get with most matte lipsticks. I personally like the way they feel. I would think dif but they seem to not dry my lips out as much as other mattes (I'm refering to you kat von d lip paints (but I still love u the most!)

I'm kind of on the fence about this product. I don't love it but I don't hate it. It's a very gorgeous pink colour that pops nicely against my fair skin, though I found I had to layer it quite a bit to get my desired opacity. I also found it caked a bit after wearing it for a while. However, I plan on continuing to use this product because I don't like wasting makeup, and I do really think it's a pretty colour on me. Not sure if I would repurchase, but I'll make the most of it now that I have it!

Great color in the tube but it was a little too light for my skin tone. Also, within a half hour of applying this lipstick, the color had settled into the fine lines of my lips (and I had used chapstick beforehand).

Disappointed. I'm returning this.

I really like this, although I was quite skeptical to purchase. It looks like a bright barbie pink, but is kind of sheer, when applied. You definitely need a lip balm before you apply. I like to wear this with clear lip gloss on top. Its a cute bubblegum pink, and a supposed dupe for MAC pink nouveau.
I bought it simply for its dupe qualities. So glad I did.

I love the name of this lipstick so much for some reason that I chose my SN after it, lol. As for the shade itself it's a nice bright cheerful pink, not too neon, not too red, but nice and colorful for a bolder look. It seems a lot like a MAC lipstick (not sure which shade, but in finish and formula it's very similar.) Definitely a new favorite, but a bit bright for everyday wear.

Probably one of the worst lipsticks I own, and definitely the worst matte lipstick I have. Makes my lips look completely cracked and dry even when I've exfoliated and moisturized like crazy. It's a very strange texture, almost slippery but still matte? And not a good color for my olive toned (nw25) skin. I love all of the other Revlon mattes so I was very disappointed with this one.

Very disappointed. I love the color in the tube! It was perfect- just what I was looking for! Then I put it on. I thought it was because my lips still had remnants of balm on them so I wiped my lips down really well and tried again. Nope. Wiped it off. Tried again later, because that must have been a fluke. I've had other Revlon mattes and love them, very pigmented. Nope...not this one. My lips aren't dry, but this lipstick made them look crazy! Every little line in my lips showed, even after applying several coats. I bought it at a place that doesn't accept makeup returns unfortunately, so I'm stuck with it. (I don't often feel disappointed in products, most of them still have good qualities, so it took a lot of cons to make me write a bad review.)

In the tube the color is quite bright and vibrant, but once applied to the lip it becomes a very light pink with very little pigmentation. You need to coat your lips with this product three to four times in order to get a color payoff that's similar to the color in the tube.

butttttttttttt... i actually see this as a good thing, that way I can slowly layer my lipstick to the color that I want.

Another down side is that at the beginning when you put it on it looks pretty streaky. To fix that I put a lipliner around the shape of my lips, then press my lips together to blend it in with the lipstick. The color becomes wonderful and opaque. I'll post a picture soon-time.

all in all, although i still like this lipstick, and will be keeping it, I rather by another lip product where I don't have to put effort in order for the lipstick to come out right.

Love this colour, love the formula, love the price. It's difficult to find nice matte lipsticks that don't highlight dry patches. This one is such a low-maintenance lipstick and a great colour that is just punchy enough. It's quite cool toned but I've got a golden undertones and the colour looks great on me.

should have read the reviews first.

This has a weird chalky texture that is unflattering as heck. the color is pepto pink and doesn't really work for me at least. Mostly the texture is the problem. if you layer a balm or gloss over it works, but that defeats the point of a matte lippie doesn't it!

I use it as a cream blush in my gym bag. works quite welll for that so its not a total fail!

SHADE DESCRIPTION: purple-pink

PROS

- pretty shade

CONS

- drying
- sheer

COMMENTS

I like the color - it's right up my alley. I can see why people find this sheer, however because of the brightness of it...the light coverage works just fine.

Will repurchase.

This product wasn't what I expected, and at first I didn't like it. The formula is strange: a sheer matte. I've never encountered that texture before.

It was sitting in my lipstick drawer for a few months until I picked it up on a whim the other day, and I absolutely loved the way it brightened up my summer-tanned face. It's a very cool, bright pink, but because it's so sheer it doesn't look chalky.

If you're looking for a super opaque, Lime Crime-ish kind of lipstick, this isn't it. But if you want a unique lipstick in a bright color that pops but won't take over your face, give this a try.

Stormy pink against my skin came out as a variation of barbie pink or a pepto bismol hue. And I bought this color looking for a change, something girly, fashionable and well different from my plethora of reds and nude colors.

And I have to say that I like it, not exactly stark raving mad about it but I think it looks pleasant against my tone. Of course it is very sheer in the first application and you have to build upon it to get the 'fashionable' opaque look of a matte pink. And this works for me because it gives a lot of room to work with and try different looks.

This lipstick does look excellent in my opinion with a little gloss on top as well as being matte/by its self.

-----

As a suggestion to making this lipstick work is not to rough up your lips but to put a little Vaseline on. Then rub the lipstick over the Vaseline that's on your lips, wipe it off your lips then re-apply the color after wards. This seems to give the lipstick some 'moisture'. (It worked well for me)

Wow! I was seriously so disappointed with this product. The color of the lipstick looks so beautiful, like a perfect bright pink but when I put it on my lips it showed up a pastel pink that was chalky looking and streaky.
I lost the receipt and couldn't return it so I played around until I found a solution. Lip balm and lip liner underneath still didn't work for me so I eventually found that if you apply several layers of it, pair it with a pigmented red or coral lip gloss over it, it looks decent. Wish I could have returned it though, I can't believe Revlon is still selling this product!

I love this lipstick. I look forward to wearing it, (am wearing it right now!) and when I see it in the mirror, all I can think of is ICE COLD PINK LEMONADE.

it is slightly waxy and drying, so you need to wear it on a day when your lips are scruffy. I typically rub some Shea butter into my lips while I am putting on primer, etc, and this helps immensely with the application.

Hope this helps! : )

This is my new favorite lipstick - it gets place of honor in my purse. The formula is a lovely glowing matte that is very natural and non-drying. The color is sheer - half way between my-lips-but-better and the bright neon pinks that have been on the runway these past few seasons, and it's just the right bright bluish pink for my olive complexion. The sheerness makes it quite wearable, and effortless to apply. The subtle pop of color lights up my face, and the finish is quite chic. I feel like a French gamine whenever I wear it.
