Received a generous sample of this and was so excited to try it after reading some great reviews by beauty editors. I was SO disappointed. It is LOADED with flowery perfume and it's very thin and runny. Did nothing. Maybe you have to use it for several weeks to see a difference but I couldn't use it more than twice because of the overpowering fragrance. Why do companies put fragrance in eye serum? Makes no sense to me. Will definitely not buy skincare products from this brand.

IN LOVE with this product!!!! it cools your eye area and concentrates on your black circles!!! it makes them look less obvious!!!! it moisturizes too...
I would buy it again, but I try to make it last as much as I can because of the price!

I adore this product. I only have a couple samples of it, but one has lasted me for over a month now, and I still have some leftover.
It instantly illuminates the under eye area. It's soft, smells subtle and nice, and soaks in right away. It's a perfect prep for an eye cream.
I can't see myself shelling out the price tag for the full thing anytime soon, but if I ever have that much extra cash laying around I'd definitely buy the full sized product.

I've had great success with the White Caviar line, it is generally very firming and moisturizing. but the Eye Serum was a disappointment. The serum had a strong alcohol smell and this or another irritant caused my eyes to water. Compared to cheaper brands, this serum went on smoother and felt richer but there wasn't a difference in results.

I got a 3ml tube sample. At first, I don't like the sparkling ingredient in it. Then I am amazed by how quick it was absorbed by my skin. So the texture is wonderful... but I have white pump after using it (maybe I used too much each time?) and I dislike any packaging in a pumping bottle - it's waste of money when there's still some left inside the bottle and the pumping straw and we have no way to touch 'em... Probably won't pay for it.

I used the whole range of white caviar. what a waste of money specially the eye serum which finished very quickly. the packaging is useless too it put me off la prairie for ever. thats why its difficult to get testers, if I had tried it I would never have bought it.
clarins is the best for everything.

I love this product! In fact the whole white caviar range works very well for my skin.
I have been using LP for years but this line is my favourite and I am so glad I am getting results b/c the price is a joke.
This serum is enough for my undereye area. It plumps up fine lines and reduces dark circles. I only use it at night. My g/f s have commented on how glowy my skin is looking.
I can't really find anything wrong with this and believe me I am not bias. I wish I could find something cheaper that worked as well for me. It doesn't have to be LP!

its difficult to get out of the bottle. also it finished very quickly but I am very happy it finished, because I noticed the fine lines round my eyes got worst ,
Now I use Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Eye Gold Capsul and my eyes got a lot better within just a few days and the fine lines are gone.
white caviar was a real waste of my money for me.
to be honest I know a lot f people that use la prairie and are happy with it , I dont want to muck the product but I have to be honest I am so angry with my self for spending so much money on the white caviar product. I bought the whole range and over seas these are even more expensive. I am also not happy with the white caviar face serum.
maybe the other la prarie products are good but NOT this one.
I bought radiant fusion and radiant serum by LA MER: tihs is also an expencive product but I have never seen anythng work so fast. it is worth every penny. specially the radiant fusion which is reasonably priced. you just have to try to see t for your self. it is an amazing product.

I never used eye creams until last year, when I noticed my face looked older in appearance - two light lines under my left eye and 1 deeper line under my right eye, puffiness, and dark circles, probably due to one too many years of staying up late studying. The skin around my eyes is fine otherwise - no dryness or anything, which is why I get confused when I read that fine lines are due to dryness?? I started off with Shiseido, as I normally use their 3-step (coz it doesn't cause any probs - my skin is quite sensitive), but that didn't really work, and I think that might have been what gave me milia at the inner corner of one eye (I'm told that's un-get-rid-of-able :S An optom told me it's probably just due to the aging process, but come on, I'm not that old). That got me pretty anxious, so I thought I'd try my luck with one of the best skincare brands - La Prairie.
I received a sample for this product some time in Nov last year, but didn't start using it am and pm daily until I went on a 2 week holiday. During this time, my travel companion noted that my under-eye darkess had improved. I couldn't really tell, but if improvements are noticeable, that's great news, as far as I'm concerned! I hadn't used all the sample up, as you only need the tiniest amount for both eyes, but the products at the international airport's dfs were significantly cheaper than at the department stores, so I bought a full-sized bottle ($280 compared to the $340 norm).
I have been using it pretty much twice daily since (it's been a bit more than 1 month). I've noticed that in the mornings, my undereyes are less puffy, but that effect is gone as the day goes on. The under eye skin feels softer, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing, coz I thought firmness was the key? The under eye creases on the left eye seem to have improved a little bit, but I've been noticing very faint appearances of fine lines (but fine lines nonetheless) under my eyes. I'm not sure if this is due to the serum or due to, well, natural processes. But that doesn't really make sense to me, since I'm using an eye product. The biggest shocker was that this morning when I woke up, I found an EXTRA long obvious line underneath the single deep crease under my right eye! Now, I'm not sure if that's because of the eye serum, the softness effect of it that made creasing of the skin more easy and obvious, or if it's because I haven't been sleeping any earlier than I used to (I know lack of sleep can cause lines, but the eye serum is supposed to help prevent lines anyway - right?). Either way, it got me in a panic, but after I carried out my 3-step+ eye serum, the extra line seems to have disappeared...for now.
I haven't been using an eye cream over the top of the serum, because, like I said earlier, the skin around my eyes is not usually dry at all. I'm wondering if I should start one though; maybe something just hydrating to smooth out fine lines, and won't camouflage side effects of the serum, if any indeed exist. I think since for a lot of creams, a few months' trial is needed to see the full benefits, I will continue to use this serum anyway, and see how it goes...
As far as the packaging goes, it's absolutely gorgeous, and I love the dropper idea. The bad thing about it though is that one single drop is already wayy too much product for both eyes combined. I end up patting it all in anyway - I wonder if that would cause any overuse probs in the long term. I selected 'no' for 'would you buy this product again?', not because I wouldn't, but because I'm undecided and will probably try the Shiseido white lucent eye cream after I finish this product, since I have a sample of it at hand already.

I've purchased this product yesterday so watch this space.... I will update in a month so watch this space!!
I purchased this product specifically for dark under eye circles (both with pigmentation and the usual tired, dark shadow beneath the corners of my eyes). I give this rating 4 lippies at the moment because I like the texture and absorbancy of the product and you only need alittle to get good coverage.
UPDATE 12/23/10 - after a couple of months, i do notice less dry lines and an improvement in the clarity and brightness under the eyes. I won't say the dark circles or discoloration is completely gone. I think its one of those products that need to be used for a long time to achieve that...I will continue to use this product in the future.

This is the new line from La Prairie, their Illuminating systeme I have been so much looking forward to!
I bought the eye serum as soon as it came out in the market and have been using it for over 3 weeks now. I have been a fan of the Essence of Skin caviar eye serum for years so I thought the new eye serum would be a good break to my skincare routine.
As with the old essence serum, the packaging of the new White Caviar is aesthetically pleasant and glamorous, however not very practical as it does not help to deliver the right amount of product and some of it is wasted -until you find the way to do it (and it's a very expensive product to be wasted!).
Concerning the product itself, it goes on very smoothly which is nice, it is very easily absorbed so you can follow with your eye cream. In the 3-week test period I have seen some reduction in fine lines - I do not have any wrinkles so cannot comment on that- and only a slight improvement in the dark circles and luminosity which is the main target of the product.
I will continue using it for another couple of months so I will give some time for the results and will update. I will also start using the other two products of the same line, the Cream and the Serum which I received in trial sizes.
