I absolutely love this product. From the application to the way it makes my skin look, it is better than I expected it to be. I like that I can make the application as soft or as intense as I like it to be. I recently wore this for daytime, so it was a very light application (I'm fair-skinned), for the nighttime all I had to do was apply a bit more of this for a bronzer. I loved the way it looked and didn't need any other face products, yay!
Yes, I'd recommend this to anyone

I am loving this powder!!! It's made with water which is what I really think makes the difference. I don't get anywhere as near as oily with this because it doesn't have a lot of fillers and junk in it. I got the color in Cajun which is a good match for me . NW 40-NC 42 makes me look like I have a really nice healthy tan not that fake bronzer look which I hate.

I loooove this product. I went to MAC looking for something to give me a nice healthy glow w/o looking like i rubbed bronzer all over my face. I purchased this product in the color cajun and it matches my skin tone perfectly. It gives me a nice, natural glow and I always get compliments on how I have a "glow". The only down side to the product is that in the morning it looks so nice but by the end of the day with my combo skin my face looks kind of greasy. So I have to blot my face w/ paper towel which removes the product. but overall will def. re-purchase when it runs out !

Cajun is a sheer, bronze shimmer that reflects gold. It looks a little dark, ruddy and matte in the jar, but once swatched the golden hues really come out. It's a bit of an orangy bronze, somewhat similar to the color of Chanel Bronze Universel. There is a slight golden sheen, but it can only be really seen when the product is applied heavily. My favorite way to apply Cajun is with a duo-fiber brush. Preferably, my Sigma F50 Duo Fiber Brush because it is the most dense/stiff duo fiber I own. Because Cajun contains actual pigmented color (rather than a shimmery sheen like the other two powders) it can be a little difficult to work with. The way I found it works best is by tapping the tiniest bit into the lid of the jar, then swirl the duo-fiber in the product and tap off any excess. Then, lightly swirl it on your cheeks, or all over your face to warm up your complexion. Do not try building your color all at once, because once a lot of product is applied, it transitions to a powder almost instantly and won't move around much to blend. Apply a little and then build from there. Because applying only a little product at once is crucial, I don't really feel the cooling sensation like I do with Honey Rose (because with Honey Rose, I'm able to use much more product). The result is really beautiful and natural. Despite Cajun is a bit of a high maintenance product, I do like it and I'm glad I have it in my collection. I rated it a 3, rather than a 4 because it takes a bit of work to get this to work .

i recently found this at my CCO (n as well as truth & light) and i snatched it up cuz i missed out on it during the collection back in October. I LOVE this as my bronzer. I am nc35 for reference. You can't use these with a regular blush brush because it will be too heavy and streaky. I use this with my 188 duo fiber brush and it's amazing ! I use this as my contour and it acts as my bronzer, highlight and gives me some color on my cheeks so it's great for in a hurry makeup looks.

i was looking through the mac website and realized that the powder was still their. i love this powder. i thought that it would be more of a matte color with a little color, but it's not. it has tons of shimmer and probably will become my highlight. i didn't feel the cool to powder feeling at first. you don't really feel it until you put it on your brush. the price was a little much but it was worth it.

I like this, but I am not bowled over by it. Its a fun novelty type of makeup item but its sooo not worth the price. I wear it as a bronzer, and its a great color for that. I was so worried about how it would apply because when you swatch it, it goes on very streaky - but with the right fluffy brush it goes on your face a lot nicer. It does feel cool for about a second when you brush it on - probably a nice sensation in the summertime! Im not a huge fan of the container - its just sooo big and the product quickly settles and even seems to evaporate a bit (makes sense since its main ingredient is water - but it makes you wonder how much product you're really getting). Overall, a good bronzer and a good quality product but nothing that I'd rebuy over and over even if it was permanent - its just too expensive for what it is.

I feel this product didnt get enough love when it was released. I was trolling the mac site trying to pick out what i wanted from the tartan collection when i noticed this was still in stock. Being darker skinned (think light caramel) i thought maybe i could use this as a foundation powder so i was bummed when i realized it was too dark. HOWEVER, it is an amazing bronzer. it gives my cheeks a slight flush of color, and makes me look glowy. it is shimmery in the container but doesn't transfer to my face. it makes an awesome contour powder and doesn't make my skin look dirty. I took off one lippie cuz it has that awful character on the top of it.

I love how light this bronzer feels and looks. It adds a very subtle bronze glow - just like a day in the sun minus the harmful rays. I also use it like bare minerals with the swirling and tapping of the brush. I love it and I am very sad that it's LE because when it does run out I know I'm going to want more.
UPDATE: This, like every MAC face product I've ever used has caused me to break out. I'm sad because I really do like this, but clearly MAC just doesn't agree with my skin.

Beautiful. Feels cool on the skin. I am still looking for a better brush to use with it. I still want to try truth & light.

*Update:
Cajun adds color to my face giving the look of a Bronzer. I like the way it feels on the skin...nice and cool when applied and doesn't feel like you're wearing anything once it's on. However, it's hard to tell how much you have on because you can't feel it and because of the "magic" texture, so it takes awhile to get used to.

update 11/6/11- seriously love this product. just started using it again. i use this to set my MUFE Face & Body or my tinted moisturizers/light foundations. i like how this looks more natural than a traditional setting powder. gives a natural, glowy finish and feels very light on the skin.

I got the cajun liquid powder and I absolutely love it. I'm an nc37 and it gives my skin a beautiful glow. I brush this all over my face and add a little blush and it looks gorgeous. The only thing I'm not to crazy about is the packaging. I store this upright yet when I open it, there's always tons of powder sitting at the top and if I try to sift it back into the jar, the powder dust flies everywhere. Overall though, I love the powder and would repurchase.

I actually bought this to sell/swap since the MA at the counter told me they were selling so fast, but I couldn't resist trying it on. I am a bronzer addict and am always on the hunt for the perfect bronzer, which must look natural (not ashy, dirty, orange, or muddy), have the right finish (not overly matte or sparkly), and you get a lot of it. This is all three! I love the cooling sensation when you put it on, and it gives my skin a beautiful glow. It does have shimmer in it, but it's very fine and barely, barely shows up on skin. I would recommend putting it on like the bare minerals info-mericials tell suggest; swirl the brush in the bronzer, tap the excess off on the rim back into the container, swirl the brush again around the lid to evenly coat the brush, and buff onto your face. Bronzer perfection!

Prescriptives Magic Liquid Powder in shade Deep Translucent 4 was my holly grail powder of all times. I was not able to pick up a back up when they went bust and have been desperately looking for a substitute.

The Magically Cool Powder is the same powder which was sold under Prescriptives as Magic Liquid Powder with the exception the container is smaller to reflect the cheaper price (less product and cheap packaging). Also, currently they are only offering two shades as limited edition.

The color Cajun works very well for me and almost the same as my old Prescriptive - Deep Translucent Level 4. Unlike the reviewer below, I am NC45 and this powder did not add any ash to my skin. As stated above, it does the same good job that Px Magic Liquid Powder did of adding radiance and a smooth finish over foundation. I do plan on picking up a back up containers in case MAC does not bring out the full range. They would be stupid not to do so as there are so many people out there who want their Magic Liquid Powder back.

I took away 1 point for the juvenile packaging. Such a great product which women loved so much should not be peddled back to the public in such cheap packaging. I am really annoyed that MAC decided to add this to their brand in a limited edition collection. There is more information on this on the blog The Smell of Vanity.

I want to love this product so much :-( During application, I do love that nice cooling sensation. The result on me looks a lot like MAC Comfort MSF. My biggest problem with this product is that in pics it also gives me an ashy haze whenever i apply it, just like Truth and Light. I don't know if it does this on fairer skinned beauties but I can't justify paying $30 to look like I threw flour on my face in pics :-(

*Update 5.7.11: This was just re-released in the permanent line and I must say that I think they got it right with this. I've taken pics both with and without a flash and have not had any "flour face", lol. This is going to look great with a "dark girl" tan and give my skin a nice golden glow :-)

I tried this powder on at the Mac Counter, and just continued on swatching different things. But now I wish I would have gotten this powder. When I put it on my face, it immediately felt wet, then It went back to powder form! I saw maybe like a tiny bit of bronze, but not so much. As I went home, looking in the mirror, I noticed I had this beautiful clean, glowy, sleeky look.I probably really don't need this, but this is nice to have. I so wished I bought this powder. But I will get it this week somehow.
Update 12/02/2010
So I went to the Mac Counter, and they still had this left! I finally got it, and love it! This wil last a long time.
