Love! This is my hands down favourite eyeshadow. It looks so beautiful in the pan and it wears really well over a primer or cream shadow. It is more glittery on than it looks in the pan. It looks great applied with a damp brush or as a liner.
As I said in my review of she who dares these are beautiful, strong, glittery shades and they are the longest wearing glitter shadows I've ever used.
I've given this one 5 lippies rather than four simply because I prefer it to she who dares. It is more strongly pigmented and looks great applied over just a primer rather than needing a cream shadow to really make the colours pop. Also this doesn't look muddy if you layer or blend the two shades although both colours do look quite similar when applied.
Would I buy it again? Yes, if that were an option though I'm sure these will last me ages as it's not really an everyday eyeshadow. You get a good amount of product though it is expensive.

I got this for christmas and I am so glad I did! I love the combination of purple and black to make a smokey eye. I probably wouldn't do this for everyday smokey eye because the colors are so bright, but they are such beautiful colors. MAC always knows how to do it right!

Like "she who dares" i passed this up in the VV collection , actually i passed up the entire collection !! lol. I received this in a swap and I'm so glad that i got the opportunity because it is GORGEOUS !!!! the purple side is pretty glittery and the pink side is amazing over black base . The one i received in swap has a fairly good color payoff as i know some people received them with a lot of black marbled in it. If MAC Comes out with other MES similar i would purchase them. They are finally getting their act together with their MES ! So happy

i'm kind of sad that i didn't get the other one "she who dares"
but i'm so glad that at least i got this one
i really like the color
the color is not that intense when wearing it dry (i haven't try wearing it wet yet~ i'm so happy with the result already so maybe later)
MAC limited edition eyeshadows are always so big~ and the packaging is so cute~ love it

I love this eyeshadow! I wear it wet and with a base. It's very dramatic and fun...especially for a night out. I'm still experimenting with colors to wear it with and using it dry, though. It's a great deal, in my opinion...can't imagine I'll be running out of this anytime soon!

I love this product. It is so beautiful. I can certainly tell the difference between the two sides on my eye lids. I like to use this over a grease paint stick or a paint pot to make it stick, and I always use it wet. I think the fall out is very minimal from this compared to MES I have purchased in the past.

I actually really like this mineralized e/s duo. Mine has much more of the Deep pink with pink pearl colour than the Deep plum with purple pearl colour. Which I don't mind at all. I have been using my Painterly paint pot all over my eye before applying these which seems to help w/the fallout and the colour payoff. BTW I'm a NC25 (for reference). I'd definitely buy this again, but don't think I'll hit pan for quite some time...

So I bought this the first day of release and the no. 1 thing on my list from this release and it has taken me several weeks to give an honest opinion about it. Well at first I tried it dry and it's mostly a wash of black with lots of glitter. Then I tried it wet with MUFE Mist and Fix and it still kinda looked mostly black and I was getting worried this would be unusuable! Then I took out my greasepaint Charred Mauve and used the dark purple over it and it was incredible! It's the truest violet I've ever seen and it has less glitter and looks very metallic, it is absolutely gorgeous! The more pink side does not take much to make it work, I'm NC42 for reference and it shows up as a lighter purple and looks just as great. When I used my Blackground paintpot it did not have the color payoff like my grease paint though. I only gave this 4 lippies because it's a little harder to work on with my darker tone but I'm still incredibly happy with it considering I missed out on Young Punk! I would not need to repurchase condsidering I will probably never hit pan, unless they re-released it because Malificent is my all time fave villain!

I was really disappointed with this eyeshadow! loved it in the pan, but when I used it, both colours looked the same, pigmentation wasnt great and it just kinda looked 'muddy' on me. For the price of this in Aus, I wouldnt purchase it. Plus there was quite a bit of glitter fall out. Maybe Im not using it properly, but I didnt like this product. Packaging is cute though!

I got this product the day this collection came out at the MAC store... along with a ton of other products from the collection. I would have to say this is my least favorite. The other reviewers seem to really love it- I don't. I mean, it is pretty nice, but I don't LOVE it. The colors look brilliant in the pan, they even come out very nice on the face (I used the French Quarters grease paint under mine for more dramatic effect). The problem I have with this duo is that you really can't tell the difference when they are on your eyes. So, I took off a lippy for that. Other than that they are pretty. So if you don't mind that you really got one color instead of two- for the price of two-- have at it! :) lol. I think the color is very true and dramatic on the eye, and that I like about this product (especially when wet), paired over the grease paint it did not budge, which I loved. Would I buy agan...? Probably not, but the other shade in She Who Dares for the Malificent part of this Disney collaboration- I would definitley buy that one again... This one... not so much. Only because I feel like it isn't much of duo, there is nothing more that bugs me when you buy a duo, trio, quad, or whatever, and all the shadows look the same once you put them on...

I love this shadow. If it wasn't LE, I'd buy it again. However, you get a whole lot of eyeshadow so I won't run out any time soon. I love using this for a purple smoky eye. The color payoff can vary, but once you've experimented with it, it's easy to get the exact look you want. It does pop better over a base, and is probably easier to use wet than dry. I have hazel eyes and fair-medium skin and it looks great, and it looked fantastic on my boyfriend's little sister, who has brown eyes and fair skin.
Also, it has Maleficent on it! Do you really need to be convinced? =]

This is a very pretty eyeshadow duo. I usually don't like MAC mineralize eyeshadows but this was too pretty to not to buy.
Color: The purple side applies to look like an amethyst jewel. The blackened purple side applies a nice hint of smokiness.
Application: I use my normal MAC paint base allover, and then I use a greasepaint stick on the lid to have a nice brown-black base to help the shadow stick and pop.
Wear: I really don't see any creasing until I get home from work, so by then it is not an issue. Also, the greasepaint stick prevents fallout.
I would repurchase again if I didn't anticipate this lasting so long.

This is my first mineralised eyeshadow and it is absolutely beautiful!
I love the colours, and the colour pay off is amazing, you do need a base as there is a bit of glittery fall out. I do love this but I'm not really sure how I am going to wear it as it is very dark, I think it will be very useful at halloween and for fancy dress parties when you need a very dramatic look, you could maybe in-cooperate it in a smokey eye look. Very nice.

So glad I purchased this because I have been wanting Young Punk from Style Black forever. This one is its sister. I am happy.
Its a rich color. HUGE payoff. The side with the pink veining is my favorite. Gives the finish a purple-ish pink-ish look. The purple veining side stays purplish. My Dark Magic is a deep shadow jewel!
Only saying I would not buy it again because the color is going to last for ever!. Plus its and LE item, it will sell out and really, I'm not buying 2.

The colors are richly pigmented with or without a base. I tried these colors under different variations of purples, pinks, and black bases and they all give a different look which I love. It's a lot of purple for one pan, so it's a good thing that it's versatile so you don't get all purpled out.

The colors are very beautiful. It needs to be applied with a base or you'll get glitter all over, or the shade just won't show up very good. You can do a really nice "Smokey eye" look with this. It makes a wonderful eyeliner also. The colors appear a lot darker on your lids then it looks like in the package. But if you use a light/white cream eyeshadow as a base you can get a marvelous metallic purple shade. I like this duo with the palace pedigreed palette Quad. Blends well with it.

I love this mineralizes eyeshadow duo! The colours are amazing when used with a base or wet. The colours look very similar when used dry/without a base. So far the best way i have found to make the colours pop is to either use a base the same colour or a black one. For a purple base i like using MAC pearlglide eye liner in designer purple or BB creamy eye pencil in dusk. For a black base i like using either slick black greasepaint stick or blackground paint pot (both MAC) but i imagine most black or purple bases will work with these shadows. Just make sure you put the shadow one first before foundation/concealer etc- there is a bit of glitter fallout.

Absolutely love this mes, BUT the glitter fall out.
I wear a lot of purple and was really sad when I missed out on Young Punk, so when I read this was similar I had to get it. I'm really happy I did because its unlike any of the purples in my collection.
I like wearing this wet compared to dry, because you get a better color payoff.
After some more usage I plan to come back and do a better review.
