This is my favorite MAC lipglass. It's a beautiful coral pink color in the tube, which translates to pretty much the same shade on my lips. It's almost nude in some lights, except it does have some nice sparkle. I own this in both the Venomous Villains and Surf Baby packaging. Unfortunately the Venomous Villains packaging picture rubs off after awhile. It is rather thick and sticky, but it stays on longer that way!

I was away on vacation when I went to a CCO and saw this beauty. There aren't many places that I can obtain MAC (besides Macy's limited counter) but seeing this, I had to have it. I got it in their surf baby collection, and I must say, it is perfect for summer! It goes great on my skin (fair, neutral) and it isn't too much or too little color. The packaging is really cute, so I would definitely throw this in a beach tote. The smell is a bit of vanilla mixed with typical lipgloss smell. Overall, I would repurchase!

Strange Potion is a nice light but pigmented peachy colour that works even on my very cool NW20 skintone. It's comfortable to wear and doesn't settle into lines or look milky.

I absolutely adore this! Not always a fan of MAC's lipglosses which is why I only own 2, this & Ember Glow. This is a beautiful shade of coral. It's not really sticky and very opaque. I never wear glosses on their own so I put on Fleshpot also by MAC first and slide this on top. It gives a beautiful pinky nude coral lip. I bought mine off of ebay for about 20-24$ (not sure because I can't remember) but I saw this at a CCO recently for about $10

Just like the reviewer before me, I got this at the Cosmetics Company Outlet, and I was so excited to find it!
I am pale with pink undertones, so finding a good coral is really tough for me. Strange Potion is just neutral enough to work! I like how it is fairly opaque, making it great for sprucing up my daytime look in a hurry. Normally, I wear a Mentha Lip Shine at work to keep my lips from drying out without any color, but sometimes, you need something extra. Right now, it's in my purse, just in case I need to meet someone right after work.

I got this from a CCO while I was on vacation so it was only $10!!! Anyway, the color is really beautiful, lke a shimmery warm coral pink. The first time i applied it it looked rather strange :P it looked really overly pearly on my lips which was really weird. I tried applying it differently and the only way i can wear it is if a only use a small amount :( but thats ok, 'cause it looks really pretty, a coraly nude with slight shimmer!

I got this when it released with the Surf Baby Collection. I think it's a perfect coral pink for the summer. :)
It's very sticky like most MAC lipglosses, but the colour is pretty. I like using it over MAC Slimshine in Urgent!

Beautiful peachy color that is not too in your face bright and perfect for everyday wear in the spring/summer. Like all mac lipglosses it is thick and sticky, but I personally don't mind that and find that it makes it more long lasting. Pretty opaque not to the point of a liquid lipstick, but this covers my medium pigmented pink lips quite well and I usually wear this alone. Smells like vanilla as most mac lip products. Would definitely repurchase if Mac repromoted this.

This colour is gorgeous!! It's a shimmery soft pink coral that is very flattering for my warm tones. Has great pigmentation and is opaque with two coats. Shimmer is not gritty either. My friend who also has this gloss is cool toned and this shade looks good on her too. A shame that it was limited edition. :(

I originally purchased this with the Venemous Villains collection, and recently re-discovered it when Surf Baby was released. It is a very pretty warm-toned pink with a slight frost. The shade is quite opaque and actually covers my pigmented lips without the need of lip erase or a nude lippie prior to application. It is not at all drying or sticky (perhaps I am used to lipglasses) and although the shade is not original, it is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.

soft pinky coral, not garish at all. It doesn't show up as much as I'd like on my very pigmented lips though and is slightly sticky like most MAC glosses. Pretty color, though.

I picked this up today with "Surf Baby" summer 2011 collection. I passed on it with Venemous Villians because it first struck me as appearing too garish and unwearable.I tend to associate coral type lip colors with a much older crowd of women in my retirement communitiy area.It looks frightening in the tube, applied on the lips its so much softer and beautiful and does not look as tacky.
This is the first coral lip shade that has looked so elegant and fresh to me. It layers on the lips in a silky veil with just the right touch of shimmer. Pigmentation and application are great. It is very unique and really is a "Strange Potion" because this is the first shade like this that has looked modern and pretty to me. Highly recommend this with bronzed cheeks and dramatic lashes.

Love this lipgloss! A beautiful coral that compliments my skin tone. This was limited edition but thankfully it's being repromoted for MAC Surf Baby and I'll definitly get a back up :)

Not my favorite gloss from the Venomous Villains collection. It's pretty, but not really my color. I think if I found the perfect shadows to do a look with that I would wear it more. For now it sits between Hot House and Revenge Is Sweet, which get more wear. The color is opaque though, and that's always a plus.

I really like Strange Potion. Used it for the first time this weekend on a whim, over call my bluff l/s. It was beautiful. On top of CMB, it was just a peachy neutral tone. I'd buy another if I could find one. nw45 for reference

Strange Potion swatches on my arm as a milky pinked coral, but I'm not convinced this is an appropriate shade for a PPP like me. There's something just...off...about it, like it's pulling TOO orange/coral on my lips.
Despite this gripe, the lipglass itself is top-notch: very opaque and long-wearing.
If you're warm-toned and have the opportunity to buy Strange Potion, I say go ahead and get it. But if you're cooler...you'll probably want to swatch it on your lips (if you can) first...

a pearly peach coral that isn't too vibrant.
lychee luxe and pink lemonade were both too much for me, same with prrr
i like this color a lot, and i think it brightened my pigmented lips and complexion up a lot! i'm surprised that i could still find this at some counters.
it looked good against my asian yellow nc25 skin tone, and medium brown hair. it just lightened my entire face up, love it!
i only took one star off for it being the typical sticky mac gloss! sorry mac!
