This is probably my favorite nail polish in my collection. I have medium slightly olive skin, and this color compliments my skin tone so well. The color is a khaki green with a gray undertone and very slight silver shimmer that can make the color look grayish in certain light. This is a very unique polish color, which is why I gave it the full five stars. I agree with other reviewers who say this may not suit those with a cooler skin tone. The formula on Essie polishes always gives me the longest wear time, about 5-7 days with tip wear but no chips (I wash my hands very frequently, do dishes, type on the computer, etc.). I found this polish to be a little on the thicker side for Essie's formula, and the dry time slightly longer. It is opaque in two medium coats. I would not recommend applying this in thick coats because it will bubble, the formula as I mentioned is on the thicker side. I did put one drop of thinner in it right when I got it because initially the formula was thicker than what I like to work with. Overall, I love this polish and after having it for over a year and a half, it still applies good as new! I'm wearing it right now with Illamasqua Mottle on my ring finger/accent nail as a nice spring polish look.

I've heard so many good things about Essie nail varnishes, so I finally decided to give in to the hype and try a colour. So I picked up this one and "Not Just a Pretty Face" - another fabulous colour for spring. I love the colour, it's a muted army green which is not something I'd usually go for but I love it. I usually just use Barry M polishes, as they're cheap and the colours are pretty, but they do chip really easily. This has last a good few days and is still perfect. I will be looking to purchase some more of these. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I love this neutral colour. It's a grey/army green colour that looks fabulous and goes with a lot of outfits, IMO. It also stays on for sooo long and I even have a tendency to bite my nails. It's gorgeous! Love wearing it to school or for a night out. Repurchase!!

I love this color. It's a muted, silvery sage green and the application is beautiful. I like Essie nail polishes. I find the creamy formula easy to apply, opaque in 1-2 coats, and I like the smaller brush and cap because my nailbeds are small. I also like the square bottles as they are easy to store and I can fit many more Essie np in a box than round bottles that flare at the top or base like OPI, China Glaze, etc.

This color is a nice neutral and great on its own, but it's also a great base color for layering. I've used it under clear/holo glitters such as ButterLondon Tart w/a Heart (the green in the base makes the blue reflect beautifully), special effect nail polish such as Essie Pure Pearlfection and CND Raspberry Sparkle (a great dupe of RBL Halcyon). I also like it with nail tattoos in muted colors from BigRuby and it looks great with a matte top coat. I've heard it's a dupe of one of the Chanel LE polishes Khaki collex (Khaki Vert?) but I don't have any to compare it with.

I would definitely buy this polish again and highly recommend it.

I'm not normally someone who wears dark nail polishes. In fact dark polishes look pretty bad on me so I always go with light or bright colours. And since Essie is so darn expensive here in NZ (we are talking $24 NZD a bottle, which is like $19USD), I've never had the urge to buy any Essie polishes unless I find them at a makeup sale

So at the latest makeup clearance sale, I got the chance to swatch Sew Psyched. I really wasn't expected much and was very pleasantly surprised. It's a beautiful khaki that applies very smoothly. The polish is very opaque and you can get a great coverage with 2 coats. It's not streaky by any means. What impresses me the most is the colour since it looks so good on my short nails and it's just so sophisticated so it's perfect for work.

I'm really happy with this purchase and would buy again if the bottle runs out (which probably will never happen) and I can find it for cheap again

I love this colour! It's a great khaki green. I only had to apply 2 coats to get the desired colour. I love how long lasting Essie nail polish is. I find it doesn't chip nearly as quickly as a lot of OPI nail polishes do.

I really wanted to love this color but my complexion did not do it justice. I think this color pops more on cooler complexions but the application and the color itself is lovely!

this colour is pretty in the bottle but i hate the fact it dries to a plain dark green on the nail, making it look like a generic green polish. It applies smooth but i hardly reach for this colour and regret the purchase.

Sew Psyched is another great shade by Essie. It's a muted sage green with silver shimmer. Application is easy and wear time is great like usual. I would repurchase it in a heartbeat.

A gorgeous, greyed-out, dusty green. It's the exact shade of a khaki jacket my sis gave to me years ago, and it's one of the two green polishes in my collection. Applies and wears beautifully, too.

Nice. Essie is my go-to brand for my neutral nail polishes, and Sew Psyched didn't let me down. Went on thin, as Essie polishes tend to, but I expected that. Dried quickly, and is a nice gray-green. I would reccomend it.

I had no idea this shade was so popular on MUA when I randomly spotted it in the store. I really needed a Fall to Winter shade, and I like that this color reminds me of camoflauge. I'm lucky to have bought it for $5 instead of the MSRP $8. The color is just as gorgeous on my nails, and I have no complaints about the consistency. I've always thought Essie had the best nail polish packaging, too. My one complaint is that my polish chipped already and it's only been three hours.

Age: 19-24   Skin: Acne-prone, Fair, Neutral   Hair: Blond, Wavy, Medium   Eyes: Blue

What it Claims:
"A cashmere-soft sage pewter. DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free. For best results first apply a base coat to clean, bare nails. Then apply 2-3 coats of colored polish (depending on its consistency and thickness). For long lasting wear finish with a top coat."

Packaging:
Very aesthetically pleasing. Simple design consisting of a clear glass container, an embossed logo on the sides, and a sticker with the name of the polish on the top of the brush cap. There is no real information about the polish or brand, which can be seen as a downside to buyers; there is no sticker disclosing ingredients. The cap is easy to twist on and off, although the shape and size of the bottle makes cap removal a bit awkward for me. The brush is longer, thin and rounded, and does not spread/separate that much on the nail - this can be a bit annoying on wider nails.

Consistency:
A thicker consistency for an Essie polish, but definitely still runny. First coat went on slightly streaky, but by the second it was completely even and opaque. I found it easiest to apply the second coat by applying a thicker glob to the lower part of the nail, bringing it towards the center, and then going from the center up to the tips. Then I removed excess from the brush and gently brushed off any excess polish from the nail. Nice shiny finish with a super subtle shimmer; I think it's a goldish shimmer, but it's hard to tell. Colour-wise, it pulls about 1-2 shades darker on my nails than in the bottle, and in some lights almost appears to have a slight blueish undertone to it. I'm not quite sure what pewter is, but I guess I'd have to say that it reminds me of an olivey khaki green. This colour works wonderfully against my very fair, neutral-warm skin. I think that this shade pulls slightly warmer for a green, so I can see how it may not be ideal for visibly cool tones.

Wear time:
With a base, two coats, and a top coat, I got only very minor tip wear after four days. I only removed it because I wanted a more colourful nail. I tend to get this type of tip wear within the first 24-48 hours, and the tip wear did not worsen for the rest of the time I wore the polish. Overall, I'm betting it would easily have held up for at least a week to a week and a half in total before growth and wear started affecting the polish.

Bang for your Buck:
13.5ml or 0.46 oz at $11.00CAD at Shoppers Drug Mart. Definitely pricey, especially for such a small amount of polish. I've not seen any other drug store colours like this one, and I do really like the formula, so I feel the price is justified.

Final Consensus:
This polish definitely appears to be a winner. Great coverage and colour (compared to a few other essie polishes I've so far tried), and I just love the finish! A great fall colour for those with warmer or neutral skin tones, and a nice option in place of a nude/neutral when you want a bit more colour without the brightness.
- Pros: nice packaging, beautiful colour and finish, no visible streaking, dries nicely, opaque coverage with just 2 coats, long-wearing, no chips.
- Cons: Pricey for a drug-store brand, brush can be a bit small, formula can be tricky to work with with initial use.

I really love this color! At first glance it's a muted army green but with closer inspection, it has a gray undertone to it. The formula is great, only two coats needed to reach full opacity. It's a very sleek Fall color, and it goes well with tan skintones.

I love Essie, but I didn't love this particular shade. Its an army/khaki green, and although it was very trendy when I purchased it (it was part of the fall 2010 collection), I agree with most of the reviews below when I say that it did not suit my pale, pinkish skin. It looked awesome on my friend with tanned skin though! So she got a little gift ;) haha

I was really hesitant with this color so I waited three months to try it and this morning I just thought oh what do i have to lose. And now i'm really liking it. It's like a gray-ish green that applies really well, 2 coats are enough. I have an olive skintone and its flattering on me. It's gonna be a great neutral this fall
Edit: Went shopping today and received compliments on it from a bunch of random strangers!

I definitely agree that this polish doesn't look good on pale skin. You gotta have atleast a bit of a tan. It looks better on warmer tones. And it does look darker on your nails than it does in the bottle..which I found a little frustrating cus I fell in love w the color in the bottle. Other than that, its a beautiful color. Makes me think of nature haha. It is a very "natural" green. I guess you would say its an olive green. I think it would look good w black or certain purples. One lippie off though for not looking like same color in bottle, and bc all essie nail polishes are so hard to open!

Lovely nail polish. It's a lovely shade of olive green that dries a bit darker than the bottle, still it's not very dark. I'm around NC 30 and it compliments my skin tone very well. Application is flawless, it's almost opaque in one coat, perfect in two. It wears very well too. I find it a very chic colour perfect for fall.

My friend collects Essie and was so excited to share this color with others and asked if she could put it on my nails. I figured why not and let her work her magic even though I was doubtful about the color as it didn't look that flattering. After she finished with my manicure my fears were realized. This color did not flatter my pale coloring at all and actually made my hands look dead. Maybe this color would work better with someone with darker coloring but it really looked terrible on me. I ended up taking it off the next day because a couple of my friends confirmed that it looked terrible on me during a night out. Good times! Because of this I don't know about the staying power of Sew Psyched, but don't really care to find out.
