I haven't been able to find this product since they seem to be switching the product line up.
But, this is my FAVORITE scent, and it HAS to be in gel form.
The scent is light and not overpowering (unlike some products) and it is a more "neutral" scent. It doesn't clash with any of my perfumes or body washes, and it keeps me fresh and dry.
I HATE the "Invisible" solid of any kind of deodorant because:
A) it is NOT invisible and ends up in one big whitish clump in my armpit
and
B) it ends up STAINING all of the non-black clothing I wear. All of my white shirts and tanktops (and bras) ended up with a nasty, brown-yellow stain MUCH faster than the gel.
With the Invisible Gel, I have noticed a very, very slight color change in ONE of my white camisoles... and that might be because that camisole is very old.
I highly recommend the Secret gel line of deodorants. I refuse to go back to a solid stick deodorant.
My only real complaint is with the packaging... If you accidentally drop it without the cap, the deodorant tends to shoot out upon impact with something. If it drops with the cap, the air bubble moves around and you don't get an even coat the next time you put it on.
Also, I find that when I run "low" on my deodorant, it's still a few WEEKS before I have to replace it. This deodorant lasts forever...

The gel version grosses me out. It goes on sticky and cold and doesn't keep you very fresh at all. The secret scent expressions "Invisible Solid" is far better then any of the gels. It really keeps you dry and fresh smelling. You can even skip a day if you need to. Works better then any other deodorant I have tried.

Yum!
This smells yummy, but pretty artificial.
It is a fake smelling vanilla, which goes with my vanila perfume.
It smells very strongly on the skin, but allow it to dry before putting on your shirt, or else the armpits will appear and feel wet!!
Overall, I like this.

Packaging:
This antiperspirant comes in a clear light blue plastic tube with the general oval shape which fits comfortably in the hand. Does not have curves on the sides, which I personally find does not affect handling (it may actually make it more comfortable). There is a turn dial on the bottom of the tube to raise the gel. The dial requires a little more effort to turn, but this tends to prevent dispensing too much product per use. The area in which the gel is dispensed has a bit of a rough texture. Sadly, this can cause some minor discomfort to the skin while rubbing the product in. Aesthetically, it's cute - lots of sparkles and cute typography.
Smell:
I'm quite picky with antiperspirant scents. I do enjoy the scent, but it's not my favourite. It's very artificial, and really does not smell like vanilla. It's also very strong. I can lift my arms up in the afternoon and be able to smell the fragrance - which I consider a plus, as it's obviously not changing odor and is preventing my natural body odor from coming through. Would probably not work well for those who wear perfume, but I do not wear perfume so this does not bother me.
Consistency:
A thick smooth gel, mostly without colour. I would say that it has a slight greyish tinge to it, but there is no noticeable colouring added to the skin. When using a small amount (one click), it takes a few minutes to dry completely, and once it has dried it remains dry. I've yet to experience any issues with it melting during the day as I've had with gels in the past, although this could be because the weather is now cooler. I do believe that in warmer weather, it might not hold up as well. Does not dry sticky unless too much is used. When using more than 2 clicks per arm, it can very easily pill and take on a chalky appearance, but 1-2 clicks leaves the skin smooth and pill-free. I find that it can dry my skin out slightly, perhaps just due to the gel formulation (I've experienced dryness from other gels as well).
Ease of Use:
Pretty easy to use. The packaging works well for the product; the dial almost always prevents excess product being dispensed, the lid is easy to take off and put back on, and it smooths over the skin relatively well. In order to use, I turn the dial once, then swipe the tube over the skin until the gel seems to have almost completely dried on the skin, and then let the gel dry on my skin for a few minutes before dressing. The only time I have issues is if I have applied too much gel, as it dries thick to the skin and requires being wiped to remove excess.
Bang for your Buck:
This product costs about $4.00CAD for a 48g tube. I do believe that the original tube I bought had less product than the others, as it had quite a bit of empty space as compared to the other ones (same brand). I cannot say as to how long one tube would last, as I did go about a month without wearing it (when I was ill), but I'd say that it would last at least a few months. I don't wear antiperspirants on days that I'm not going out of the house, and the price is already relatively cheap, so I think it's pretty well priced for what you get, especially as you truly do not need a lot of product with each use.
Final Consensus:
HG product. One of the only antiperspirants I've come across that works for my personal body chemistry. All brands work differently for everyone, so there is no way to say whether it would work for you, but at the price it is worth trying out. Recommended for those who have yet to find a product that does not leave marks on clothing and for those who prefer gels.
- Pros: Cheap, easy to use, protects against wetness, protects against odor, scent lasts throughout the day, little is needed with each use, does not stain clothing, no irritation.
- Cons: Can dry out the skin, can dry a bit chalky and/or sticky if too much is applied, the scent is a little too strong and artificial.
