So I'm a 14 year old girl, and I don't have that much acne. I do use Neutrogenas' Oil Free Acne Wash in Pink Grapefruit, which I love, and even though I don't have much acne, it helped clears the occasional breakout. So, when I got this astringent, I was really excited! I thought it would give me flawless skin, and blah blah blah. So, the first time I used it, the night I got it, I applied it after washing my face, and it smelled really gross.. Also, about a minute after I applied it(Just to my nose and chin) I could feel it drying up.. I had already applied my moisturizer!! Why was it drying up!?!? So I applied even MORE moisturizer to those places, and when I woke up the next morning my nose was flaking with dry skin... EW! And then I used it the next night, and it did the exact same thing. I've been using it for about a week.. (every other day-every day) and i haven't seen any progress with my acne on my chin or nose. I think I'm just going to go back to using JUST cleanser and moisturizer... I think it will be the best for me.. AND my face. Don't buy it unless you love overdrying your skin.. You probably think one bad review doesn't mean anything.. But unless you have really oily skin. DON'T BUY IT!!

I just started to use this, after trying many other brands ... and I'm loving it! my face is not oily anymore, and my face looks much clearer than before, with no breakouts, I want it to try the Avene Cleanence one, but itīs a bit expensive for my pocket, so if you live on a budget (like me) I totally recommend you this! the only reason why I put only 4 lippies, is because itīs a bit drying for my skin but if you use a good moisturizer, than youīre good to go!

I've been using this toner on and off for about 5 years, so I've finished up many bottles :) It's a great option for those with combo to oily/very oily and acne-prone skin, I think it might be drying for others. I use twice a day, it takes off all the traces of dirt, oil and make-up that maybe my cleanser doesn't wash off, it's very common to have this problem when you have those skin types, we need to clean more deeply, otherwise we'll get clogged pores --that's why I can't live without a toner/astringent. I recommend this to anyone on a budget, it's nice stuff.

A few months ago I started to use this and stopped because altough it seemed to help the ocasional pimple it was nothing special. A few months ago, my forhead started to breakout so I put the astrigent on my forhead and it became significantly clearer. I don't use this on my entire face because it is too drying for my cheeks and makes the skin around my nose feel tight. I thought that it may have caused by breakouts, but you can never be sure...

Toner is one of those things that most people hate or love. I feel that if you wear makeup no matter what facial cleanser you use you still need toner to take off the last bits of makeup. I love this toner and I feel it's AHA enriched formula helps take off last bits of my makeup and feels great. I feel this product helps keep my skin nicely exfoliated as well as helping me have a bit of a glow after using it.

I was looking for a toner that had pore clearing abilities and couldn't find one that didn't leave my skin totally dried out. It took my skin a week to heal from trying one by Clearasil. The label on Neutrogena Deep Clean Oil Free Astringent says it doesn't dry out the skin so I figured I'd give it a try. It really works! I have tiny clogged pores that you can't really see but I can feel when I wash my face. After just a couple of days of using this product the little bumps were gone! I think this stuff is amazing! I had a little trouble finding it in my area so I ordered it from Drugstore.com.

May God bless those who produce this stuff! I am 26 and have combo skin that constantly breaks-out. I have been using this stuff morning and night for the last 6 months and I have no zits. None. It is amazing. I have used everything under the sun to control my blemishes and believe me, nothing ever worked until I discovered this. I am 100% sure of its healing effects on my skin because any time I spend the night elsewhere and I don't have my Deep Clean bottle with me, the next morning I wake up with one or more pimples. Now, how else can one explain the situation? If I end up at a deserted island, this is DEFINITELY one of the three things I'll take with me. :)

really cleans off excess dirt and makeup and leaves a tingly feeling, it is a bit drying for dry skin, but for oily skin it feels fine

I don't have much luck with astringent/toners but this one worked for me. I use it as a cheap toner before I apply makeup and it works pretty well. I have oily skin prone to breakouts and this didn't irritate it at all. Although it doesn't cut down on the oil TOO much, it doesn't make me any more oilier either. It works very good as a toner. It is OIL-FREE, contains salicylic acid and hydroxy acid= ++ for me.

I was leary of using this toner due to alcohol content 33%. We all heard about this.... Anyways, I had a bout of horrible flakiness due to using Mac's cleansing oil. I swiped this toner on and it deflaked about 90% of my problem. This morning I washed and applied sunscreen & makeup as usual and my skin looks great. This toner saved the day. I think it may be strong to use everyday, but a couple of times a week should be okay. I have normal/sensitive skin.

I trust the Neutrogena name so much and usually like their products, so it pains me to say, this stuff really, really dried out my combination skin. The two times I tried this out in the last few months were followed by about a week of really tight skin (the kind that lines up when you smile). It felt so good when I was using it, but I can't wait a week after each time I use this for my skin to normalize. I have found a use for this toner, however, I use it to make sure there are no traces of lotion left on my toes before I polish them during an at-home pedicure.

this product was refreshing, however the container was horrible. Not good for those that are looking for fancy bottles. I have combo skin and this some what helped my skin. I would definetly recommend this to people who have oily t zones. I use this 3 times a day and my skin is totally ok with it which is suprising since people say it dries u out of like crazy. After only 3 days of using this product i can already see the difference in my skin. Definetly 2 thumbs up.

this is a really strong product i would definitely not use on a daily basis. It seemed to work but then my skin became really red and irritated...it then became really dry and flaky. I have found Biore a much milder, more effective toner

This makes my face feel really fresh. I use it in conjunction with the fresh foaming face wash, and like this combo quite a bit. Also like the clear pore astringement, but just doesn't have that "feel".

I bought this because I like the deep clean cream cleanser a lot. This toner didn't really do anything for me and it made my face feel tight and overly dry.

I have combination skin (dry cheeks, very oily/shiny nose and forehead) and this astringent literally did nothing for me. I used it after washing my face with Deep Clean Cream Cleanser, and my face was horrendously shiny the minute I swiped the the cottom square across it. Yuck.

Keep in mind that if your skin is not truly oily, this astringent will overstrip your skin's natural oils and cause OIL REBOUND. I bought this in a desperate pinch because I ran out of my usual toner; it works best during warmer seasons when my skin produces more oil. It doesn't control as well as implied but it works to keep acne and initial oil in check. Good product, but not great.

This astringent was very harsh. It BURNED!!!!! when I put it on after washing my face. It did NOT control oil as the package says. If you have very tough skin then maybe this is the astringent for you.
