This review is for the Kerastase Bain Substantif shampoo and masque. I have gone through a period of time where my hair was shedding more than normal, so it was not up to its normal glory and fullness. I wouldn't normally go for an anti-aging shampoo/conditioner since I am young, but this was recommended to me at my salon! This stuff smells amazing, it creates fullness in my hair, it smooths any weird or kinky type hair, like if you had a grey hair it makes it a softer texture. I really like this line, and I've tried other Kerastase products that I didnt love like this one, but this just seems to work for me! It really seems to improve the quality and look and feel of my hair!

Oy vey! It's practically criminal that this has such a low rating here. :) This shampoo is absolutely pheonomenal for me - and I'm well below the targeted age demographic. It adds incredible strength and volume to my fine hair - all without adding any weight whatsoever. I noticed a difference after just one shampoo. My HG had always been Bain Satin II, but it will certainly have some very stiff competition in the shower now!!

It is a decent shampoo, OK-ish if you have dry hair and want some ooommmpppp. The consistency is very "dense", it goes on smoothly and it is easy to rinse. IMO it was not as disastrous as the other reviewer said, but it is no great either,I t is average. Kerastase is coming out with too many products that are just wishy washy. Focus on fewer products, but better quality. I prefer B&B mending shampoo & conditioner. They make such a massive difference to my hair. Mature hair? Not clear what it means (marketing whaffle??). The smell is very flowery and overpowering. And who would want to but a shampoo that implicitly says you are old??!! It is not bad bt dfinetely NOT worth the price tag.

This made my hair feel coated and heavy. I have fine hair, and it really weighed it down. It's a rejuvenating shampoo for "mature hair." I don't really know what "mature hair" is (I'm assuming finer and thinner than most); I have fine hair and was hoping this would be a good option. I have tried every Kerastase shampoo and none of them work for my hair type. I don't know why I keep buying them!
