Wanted so badly to adore this product, but I have buyers remorse. As soon as I attempted to open it, the top flew off the hinges and it took me awhile to get it back on without breaking it.
The second disappointment was with the color selection. They look great in the pan, and I was able to use the eggplant as an eyeliner because it has so much brown in it (I have blue eyes and favor chocolate browns) and the brow shade was only a little darker than the Anastasia duo that I use every day, but as another review said, the Peach Shell and White Peach glaze read almost identical on my NW15 skin. Ditto the Sugar Plum and Gilded Taupe: both read grayish taupe on me. What I really missed in this compact was a matte highlighter shade lighter than Peach Shell. The colors are related but that doesn't mean they all work together on your eyes.
Third disappointment was the shadows themselves. For what Trish McEvoy charges I expect a better color payoff. These shades are very sheer to the point of, why bother? I might as well buy NYX.

This is a nice, neutral palette. I have the feeling it is kind of like Urban Decay's "Naked", although I haven't been able to get my hands on that one yet!
I figured it would be very useful, and that is why I got it. But it is more than just useful- these are really nice colors! The more I use it, the more I like it.

LE, Summer 2010
Eye Shadow in Peach Shell - matte soft pale pinked peach
Glaze Eye Shadow in Sugar Plum - rosy plum with slight shimmer; somewhat sheer
Glaze Eye Shadow in Gilded Bronze (new) - warm caramel with gentle golden shimmer; somewhat sheer
Glaze Eye Shadow in Rose Quartz - mauvey-beige with slight golden shimmer; somewhat sheer
Glaze Eye Shadow in White Peach - peach-toned golden beige with shimmer; somewhat sheer; slightly lighter, more beige, less peachy than Peach Shell
Glaze Eye Shadow in Gilded Taupe (new) - neutral medium taupe with slight shimmer; somewhat sheer
Eye Definer in Deep Aubergine - the offspring of eggplant-purple and milk-chocolate brown; matte; can be used wet or dry
Brow Definer in Natural (new) - matte, cafe au lait light-medium brown
Product - At first glance, this neutral palette is basic and unspectacular. Overall, the shades work nicely for me (AAB/NC25). I really like that the darkest shade (for lining) is not a boring ol' brown; the eggplant tones are lovely with my dark brown eyes. Peach Shell and White Peach are a bit close in color, verging on redundant. The Brow Definer is too light for my black brows - so I use it as an eye shadow instead. (On the TM website, it's listed as an Eye Definer/Brow Shaper, but the back label says Brow Definer.)
Comparisons - Rose Quartz is very similar to NARS Sin blush, except Rose Quartz is a lighter and less pigmented. White Peach is very similar to NARS All About Eve I. Deep Aubergine reminds me of BB Black Plum matte eye shadow.
Packaging - Sleek black compact with Trish logo on the cover. Plastic mirror under the lid, not quite full size. Eight small square pans of color. Overall about the size of a credit card in length and width; about the thickness of 4 credit cards stacked together. Retails individually for $38; also available in The Must-Have Eye Collection.
Overall - Perfect if you're after a work-friendly eye palette that's highly portable.
