I purchased this setting spray in a small size while in line at Sephora I had heard good things about the setting spray and so I thought I might as well try it. The small bottle is $15 CAD. I have oily skin and and thought that maybe this would prevent my face from becoming oily partly through the day. I am very impressed with the outcome of this and I use it daily. It keeps my face matte and the makeup stuck in place for the entire day. I will be purchasing again.

I've tried this twice now, and the only upside I find to this is the packaging. I bought it both times in the $14 travel bottle - 1 oz. So I've probably used about 1 1/2 ounces of it. Again, I like the bottle it comes in - the spray comes out in an even finish and it feels pretty refreshing. I actually kept my first bottle emptied for my Mac Fix+ because the spray was so much nicer than the Mac packaging. However, back to this stuff - I am very glad I've never sprang for the full bottle. I find that spraying this initially on my makeup actually slightly dissolves my coverage on my foundation - no matter what foundation I'm using. I think it just eats away at my powder a little and it just dissolves the pigment of my foundation to show a patchy application and maybe some of my redness peeks through. I also find that it does not control oil any more than not wearing it at all, so the entire purpose I buy it is void. I would not buy this again, and with the increasing popularity of drugstore brands coming out with sprays, there has got to be products better than this. I'm not the biggest Urban Decay cheerleader, and this product is one of the reasons why.

This spray didn't do much to control oil breakthrough for me. My skin is oily even though I'm in my 50s (which is why I'll never wrinkle, lol!) and I would like to stop looking like an oil slick two hours after I apply my makeup. I do use a mattifying primer and a matte setting powder but they only work for so long. I do use blotting papers, which help, but I'm often unable to excuse myself to go to the restroom to do this and I would like something that keeps the oil under control for longer than a few hours. This is why I purchased De-Slick, hoping that the good reviews were true and that this magical elixir would do precisely what it claimed to do and would keep my makeup fresh for the entire work day. So I applied my makeup as usual, including my usual primer and matte powder and then when I finished with everything, used this spray as directed. I did spray a decent amount and my face felt quite wet and I hoped that I hadn't just ruined what I had spent the last 20 minutes doing (thank god for waterproof mascara!). So I went about my day and checked in the mirror 2 hours later and everything looked good (it usually does at this time of the day). So back to work I went and was unable to check again for another 3 or 4 hours. After lunch, some 4 hours later, I looked in the mirror and was shocked to see the usual oil slick!! Nothing was different at all. So I pulled out the blotting papers and went to work, as usual. At the end of the day, when I got home, I looked in the mirror and once again I had the same oil breakthrough. The spray had done absolutely zero. It was like spraying water on my face. So I did the same exact thing the next day. And again, it did nada. I don't know what all the positive reviews are talking about. There's nothing unique about my face or my makeup. It should work just as well for me. After two attempts I returned it to Sephora. When I was at the counter, the SA told me that I was supposed to shake it up before using it. Eureka!! So I took it back home and the next day used it but this time shook it up before spraying it. But nothing happened this time either. When I got home, I unscrewed the top and looked at the liquid inside. There were things floating in it. It looked gross and disgusting!! So I promptly returned it and this time got a refund and informed the same SA that shaking it up had no effect whatsoever. This experiment was a complete bust! So I'm still searching for an oil control setting spray that will really work. My next stop is NYX. It's cheap and has gotten good reviews (but now I'm understandably leery of good reviews) and I'll buy it at Ulta so I can return it if it sucks, lol! I really like Urban Decay products, but this De Slick was a loser. I wonder if the reviewers were paid? Hmm. I certainly don't want to spray something nasty like that on my face, oil control or no. I just want something that will keep my makeup fresh as a daisy. Is that too much to ask? Apparently so, at least as far as Urban Decay is concerned. I definitely don't recommend this product.

I used this product around 4 pm to set my bb cream, concealer, and powder. first off, the packaging is beautiful and the spray works pretty well, however the actual product itself does nothing. it slicked down my powder and made my face look dewy rather than matte. within 2 hours, I noticed oil seeping into my face again. by 11, my face was an oily mess and my makeup was separating around my nose and cheeks, which is an area that never gets excessively oily. I find the price ridiculous especially for the value of the product. there are many other drug store options for a fraction of the price that will get the job done just as well. don't waste your money

I used this setting spray for about two weeks and gave up after that. Not crazy about it at all. It didn't keep me from getting oily or set my makeup properly-- it just did nothing. However it is nice and lightweight, an feels just like water on my skin.

I got a smaller bottle of it in the front end of Sephora. It works well to keep my foundation set, but does not control oil all too good. I often times have to put on some powder AFTER i spray this on, because it makes certain spots look more shiny.

This setting spray is decent. It can enhance the staying power of your makeup to a certain extent, but by itself it probably isn't a miracle product. I bought this product for a ball I went to a few weeks ago, and my makeup definitely stayed all night, even until the next morning after sleeping! But I did make other efforts to make my makeup stay, including a good primer and the makeup baking technique. When I used this spray with my regular, day-to-day makeup when I don't use primer or baking, it did stop my makeup from becoming patchy or bleeding off my face like it usually can do with my oily skin, but it didn't stop the shine from appearing on my t-zone. It was probably a little less shiny than normal though, so theres no denying it has some effect.

Overall, this product is okay! It held my makeup in place and reduced shininess a little bit, but I would not repurchase only because it seems there are better setting sprays out there to try. This is the first one I have bought, and when I run out of this I would probably try and get my hands on the Urban Decay All-Nighter spray (which I originally wanted but was out of stock, causing me to get this one) or the NYX one, to try them before re-evaluating whether to repurchase this.

Bleh... I feel like it works in that my makeup may stay on longer BUT it makes my foundation look gross, smudgey and matte-ish no matter how little/much I use and no matter how far away I hold it from my face. Not the spray for me!

I like this product a lot! My t-zone is one shiny mess, but with this it's in controle. I Spray my t-zone after moisturiser, then i apply my make up and after all is on i spray my entire face. You have to apply it before you put on your make up and then afterwards, Thats the trick!
