I really like this eyeliner. Previously I have used MAC gel eyeliners with various different brushes that some claim is impossible not to get a good look with. It would take me a good 15-20 minutes to get the look right, with plenty of revisions. It all just became frustrating in the end until i stopped using eyeliner.
But then I found this product. I like it because the brush is quite stiff, so it doesn't go everywhere and ruin your makeup. Yes, perhaps you have limited maneuvre ability with the stiffer end and you can't do amazing twists and turns with your liner but whatever. I just need to be able to put on eyeliner and this works fine for that.
It is also quite a bold black and it takes only one swipe to achieve that. It stays on all day, never smudges and it was still flawless after I took a shower once.
Perfecto!

I think I am one of those rare people who just does not like eyeliner of any kind. I would rather just use good mascara. At any rate, This is kind of watery and hard to use. Also it is so wierd to take off, as it gets gummy. Yuck. Steer clear.

Ugh. This just was not what I was looking for. You had to go over it a few times to even get a dark black and it would just flake off and its was just not nice. The good things I can say is that a few times when I took the time to go over it a few times I did get a nice finishing look and the felt tip was designed quite well. Plus the packaging is so small and convenient. I think when the product began to slowly dry up was when it got 10000x worse. I think if this was more pigmented so you didn't need to keep going over it and then have it become all flakey this would be good because you can get a really nice line with the felt tip provided. I wish I held my guns and got their other eyeliner because I originally wanted their liner that comes in a pot that I've heard good things about but the lady at the counter told me to get this instead so I trusted her and bought it. Now this was back probably 2 years ago and I used it till It ran dry (which was only a few months) then I switched it up and tried a bunch and finally found Bobbi Browns liner which I'm still loving till this day! I've got like 10 things from MAC and I only enjoy like 4 things out of the 10 so I'm disappointed that this was yet another product I didn't like.

Update: After using this eyeliner for a while I realized my lashes started becoming shorter and thinner.. basically because I had to rub so hard to get the hard paste texture of the liner off it was dragging the lashes out with it! I've changed my overall rating, and will not be buying this product again...
Old review:
I'm LOVING this eyeliner! Its very easy to apply , with a proper tip (not a brush which can go all over the place and ruin your masterpeice), has a strong colour and stays for ages. Even if you wash your face it stays there and barely smudges, as if you've applied a paste that's solidified rather than normal eyeliner that can make you resemble a panda if you're not careful.
I would definitely buy this again and strongly recommend it
Enjoy!

Not a fan. 2 coats are needed to get a solid line. When washing it off, you literally have to peel it off of your eyelids. I'll stick to fluidline!

I am staggered by the bad reviews for this product!
Admittedly, I do have incredibly oily skin which might be why I don't experience flaking but I have NEVER known an eyeliner go on so smoothly and last so long. I can sleep in this and it still looks perfect!
It is one of my desert island products and I'm looking forward to trying more colours! (Already have the glittery gold - Powersurge? Love it!).
If you're unsure, try it instore - strikes me it's like Marmite...

This was supposed to be my replacement for Liquidlast eyeliner.. which I love (MAC is discontinuing). While the felt tip is better than the little brush LiquidLast liner, here are the cons:
- Amount (Only lasted me 1.5 mo... found it odd. LiquidLast lasted me at least 5-6 months consistently)
- Price (costs more than Liquid Last.. $18 or something around there. Wouldn't be a problem if it lasted me a while)
- Stings my eyes
- Once it's dried, the texture becomes flaky... oil based eye make up remover didn't work. had to rub the flakes off of my lids.

I asked one of the makeup artists at MAC about a good waterproof liquid liner. She suggested this one so I bought it.
I've never had a product flake so badly on me.

No would not repurchase. Vinyl-like sheen which looks too heavy and plastic-y. Brush looks like it would be perfect but it's a tad too flimsy and almost tilted and it drives me nuts. This does wear well but removes in that peel-off nailpolish manner (wears like it too). If you really wanted something heavy and intense with a high-sheen finish, I'd get this, but it's just too much for my tastes. About 5 years ago I would have fallen in love with this but I prefer softer now. Oh well, my 6 mo $20 contribution to MAC for MU I'll never use.

This eyeliner stays on my oily lids :) (see edit, 'cause it stays if i dont cry :L)
I was looking to replace my Artliner but this is way cheaper and stays SOOO much longer. I was thinking I was buying the liquidlast but I wasn't really paying attention and this was all they had on display... But i'm happy! If this is what the regular liners are like, I'm not sure how much more waterproof it could get!
only complaint is the smell (something like peanuts) and itll flake a bit if you scratch at it. But why you would do that, I wouldn't know >.>. But those are too minor and for the staying power I don't care.
edit: blah this product does not like tears. Theres a crevice beside the outer corner of my eyes that tears like to exit when i tear up (which is often) and this stuff likes to flake off then.
edit # 2: I tried MUFE's and both seem very similar. Both have a problem where the stopper just comes off. -_-

i would buy this product again only because i am obsessed with mac. i would also only buy it again because it was cheap for me to purchase in america (because australian dollars is eqivalent to american when i bought it). i would never repurchase in australia because it would be SO EXPENSIVE.
i actually like the foam brush applicator and i dont find it hard to apply onto my eyes with.
the formula and the blackness is exactly the same as revlon colourstay liquid eyeliner, and i am used to the foam brush because this was my previous liquid eyeliner. i only use a liquid when i want that really dark wet look on my eyes, otherwise i always wear mac fluidline.
it is good, but you can get a dupe for way cheaper if you live in australia which is the revlon one i mentioned earlier.
it is a good eyeliner. and does not ball up on me.

I bought this fluid liner, when it first came out. I bought it because I wanted something cheaper than the Lancome artliner that also worked just as well. This definitely does not compare to the Lancome artliner, I would spend the extra 12 dollars for the Lancome.
I got this liner in On the Hunt, and at first it was a pretty good liner until I noticed that the liner balls up on the lid. As you try to go over the liner to possibly make it darker or fix the line, you won't be able to do this because the felt tip will end up removing the liner and create a little ball of liner on your eyelid. (It's kind of like the rubberized glue from applying false eyelashes that just rub off)
I was definitely disappointed in this product-- I really wanted it to work out though, that's why I kept it. But after a month of usage, I noticed that I couldn't close the liner completely anymore, I guess parts of the eyeliner dried up/ balled up on on the cap so that I can't completely close it. I picked up the Lancome and definitely will not be repurchasing the Superslick.

As with all the superslick liners, it stays put all day without any smudging. I love the applicator, it allows you to apply as thin or thick as you want. I hope these are part of the permanent collection.

This is quite different from anything I have, and its application is tricky. I will use it for days I know Im gonna be sweating or out for long. I like that you can peel it off or use a warm washcloth to take it off. But slick black is still my best liner from mac till date.

This is about the best liquid liner I've used yet. It's like an improved Artliner (Lancome). It has a nice felt tip sponge applicator (with a finer tip than Artliner), that works great for thin to thick—and really excels when you slant it and glide it across your lids. The only comparable fine crisp line finish I've been able to achieve is with Fluidline and a small angled Mac 266. This liner is thicker than Artliner and many, but not nearly as thick and goopy as Liquidlast. Color pay-off is nice, dark and black, but the finish is shiny semi-gloss; which might be the only problem many have with it. Holding power is much better than Artliner, somewhere between Mac's other two liquid liners—not as long as Liquidlast, but better than their regular liquid liner. It's what I would call water-resistant, but not water-proof. You can rub it while on, and it will slightly fade, but still holds well.

I was very excited to hear about these new liners. I heard that these liners would be waterproof and long lasting, similar to the LiquidLast liners from MAC, but easier to apply. Sadly, I have to say that I was disappointed. I got "On the Hunt" which is a pure black and although the felt tip provided a MUCH easier application than the liquidlast, the staying power doesn't even come close. The liner dries fairly quickly and you can easily make a thin or thick line, but the liner rubs right off, especially on the bottom if your eyes get a little watery from dry eyes or allergies. You do not even need eye-make up remover to remove it, as plain old water will do it for you. I was really hoping for the same or similar staying power as liquidlast but unfortunately, was let down. Also, I have been hearing rumors that MAC is going to phase out the liquidlasts now that these liners will be part of the permanent collection...so if you are a big fan of liquidlast, definitely stock up because as of right now, no other MAC liner comes close to it.

This review is for the color-DEFIANTLY FELINE This color is the best shade of brown ever! Not dark, not light ,more like a chocolate brown with a hint of pearl. Perfect for light complexions as it is not harsh looking in the least . IT is very easy to apply and the color payoff is excellent! I hope the superslick eyeliners are here to stay an not just limited edition. ps certain colors are pretty watery but NOT the DEFIANTLY FELINE.

From the Fabulous Felines Collection - I went into MAC looking to buy Greensmoke and was intending on heading to Sephora after to buy a Stila eyeliner but ended up buying this great eyeliner as well! I wanted a liquid felttip liner that would be really black and easy to apply yet not so easy to fade off, especially over eyeshadow. While this liner is not waterproof like the LiquidLast, it goes on really smoothly whether you want to do a fine line or a thicker one. And, best of all for me, it stays put over eyeshadow. At 21 dollars CDN, it is so much cheaper than the Lancome ArtLiner and works much better too. The ONLY reason why I give this 4 lippies rather than 5 is because I have yet to find a waterproof pen liner that goes on superblack. But yes, I will certainly be buying this again.
EDIT: I bumped this up to 5 lippies, as I tried to remove the eyeliner by simply washing my face, since non-waterproof eyeliners come off like that for me but was unable to. It would not budge until I used eye makeup remover. So, if this is really not so waterproof like the SA said, it does come pretty close to it. I may have found my HG liner:)
