Rich cherry wine color that lasts forever - even through eating and drinking. True to color. cheap. Takes a little lip smushing to get perfectly even. I found this one to hold up better than the other wetnwild megalasts I have - no creasing. Does stain tho...

Gorgeous deep wine shade. It's perfect for fall. Opaque coverage, but you will want to use a lip liner first.

This lipstick has quickly become a part of my daily makeup routine.
On me, it is a dark, dark red with no hints of purple or plum whatsoever.
The finish, like all MegaLast lipsticks, is matte, and therefore can be a bit drying. Exfoliating and moisturizing one's lips is a must.
The price is amazing, and this is WNW, so it's cruelty-free.
The only flaw I can find is the packaging--typical WNW lipstick packaging. The lipstick bullet is raised up above the packaging a bit, if that makes any sense. You must be careful when taking the top on and off so as not to "chip" some of the lipstick off.
Overall, I love this lipstick. The colour is lovely and dark, the price is unbeatable, the matte finish is perfect, and it lasts at least ten hours for me, with a primer and lip liner.
I highly recommend it.

I stumbled upon this product review and was surprised to find that such an inexpensive lipstick was getting such awesome reviews. I've been wanting to purchase a couple of higher-end lipsticks that are in the same color range, but I figured that I'd give this a try first.
I'm really pleasantly surprised. The color is gorgeous, first of all, and perfect for the fall makeup trends we're seeing now. It's really difficult to beat the $2.99 price tag, too.
Naturally, since this is such a bold color, it is a little more high-maintenance, but I don't mind. Here's a few things that worked for me:
-lip liner. I pair this with Rimmel 1000 Kisses 07 Cherry Kiss.
-applying with a lip brush
-I still get a bit of feathering, so I applied concealer just around the edges of the lipstick to help it stay in place.
The formula is a bit dryer, since it's part of the Mega Last line and is intended to stay on for awhile. My lips tend to be dry, so I dotted on a little bit of lip balm before applying. The staying power still seems to be pretty good for me.
As everyone else is mentioning, the packaging isn't great since you risk nicking the lipstick when capping it, and it seems like it twists up sort of haphazardly on mine. But other than that, I think it's a really great drugstore find, and I'm excited that I found it.

I think for an inexpensive product like this it's really great. This color is a dupe for many high end lipsticks out there and i think it's just as great as them. The quality is great and it does last for a while.

Like the previous reviewer I highly recommend this instead of Revlon Black Cherry. It's very high quality and yet, so inexpensive. Great product!!

Ok, this shade beats out my Revlon "black cherry" which is the exact colored shade. It applies more evenly than my Revlon and wears much longer plus you can't beat the $2.99 price tag versus $8 for Revlon. Will most definitely repurchase.

I like this stuff, but it is what it is. I mean, it costs $2, so for the price it's pretty awesome. It has definitely made me want to go out and try more MegaLast lipsticks, but my Walgreens is always out of them. Anyway, this shows up as a pretty dark purpley-red on my fair skin. it's really pretty and a little grungy/goth, which is what i was looking for. I love the color. The formula is fine, a little dry, but fine, as long as you wear a balm underneath. I only get about 2 hours of wear out of this which is slightly annoying. With other colors it might not be so bad/noticeable, but with this it starts to get pretty patchy and fade around the inside of your lips, which looks pretty terrible because it's so dark. I have definitely noticed transfer when eating/drinking although it holds up better than expected. Overall, it's a really pretty color and a good deal, but you kinda get what you pay for.

OMG, i can't believe how great this lipstick is. I have a hard time keeping lipsticks on my lips and eyeliners on my waterline. Matte lipsticks stick to my lips better, but are kind of drying . This has the perfect amount of matte and creme. I dont like shimmery lipsticks or glosses because they looks a bit ghetto.
I usually don't like see through plastic packaging because it looks kind of cheap, but they're good for looking at the shade being purchased. These lipsticks are true to the lipstick shade inside, and very close to the shade on the sticker on the bottom of the lipstick. Not true to the swatches provided on wet n wild's website.
I think reapplication after eating is enough or every 3 or so hours. This lipstick runs/feathers a lot after eating, of course. It runs less for me than Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks, but more than Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks. But the semi matte looks better than the Maybelline lipsticks (on me, and my preference) and the shades are excellent for my yellow toned skin.
Aftereffects: Depending on the shade, some leave a stain. Revlon's Superlustrous does not. Maybelline's Color Sensational also does, depending on shade.
I have gotten 3 so far on sale, and plan on getting more when the shades I want are available. =) I recommend this and will repurchase. =)

The colour is much lighter than I thought it would be. I don't like the consistency, it's like trying to make use of a dried out glue stick, which makes it impossible to blend.
