I did really like this hair dye. It does make my hair look a very pretty brown color, and it makes it look really shiny in the light. :) I let it stay in my hair for almost an hour, and the color did change quite about, because my hair was virgin black hair before this. I did see a significant color change, but it did not match any of the colors on the box, so I was a tiny bit disappointed about that, but oh well.
What I did not like about this product was how drying it was!! Immediately after I had dyed my hair I had panicked so much because my hair felt so crunchy and unhealthy! The next day I bought myself a Neutrogena hair mask (which works amazingly) and my hair seems to be getting better and more moisturized, so that's good. Though I don't think it was as healthy as it was before. I was kind of surprised at how drying this was on me, because everyone else had said it wasn't that damaging. But maybe it has something to do with the fact that I have curly hair that was already damaged from straightening it so much :p
And is this dye really demi-permanent? I have not heard anywhere else that it was... but I guess that I will just have to wait and see. It hasn't seemed to fade at all though, so that is a good thing :)

I am so glad other people like this product and it's being rated on an english site! I've been using this dye in a variety of colors whenever I can get my hands on it ( which is rarely because it's not sold anywhere near my area). It's my favorite in terms of the color selection and gentleness and it always shows up on my dark hair ,which is a miracle! My only complaint is that it can be hard to get hold of, although it's on e Bay for a reasonable price. And it is worth the extra effort and money! I can't stress how much I love the Japanes lines of hair dye <3

I love palty and I have been using it since forever. (well whenever I need to dye my hair) I have tried the other English companies such as Clairol, Garnier etc but the colours never show on my dark hair!
I have dark brown/black hair and this shows up perfectly! It's is around $15 at one of the malls go to it's not too bad.
Also this stuff doesn't seem to damage my hair.. and I don't really use any serums or special hair treatment stuff.. my hair feels super soft and shiny after dying it. Maybe it's just me?
I will definitely repurchase this.

I bought this 4 times now.
I love the ease of use. It's recommended to leave in your hair for 20 minutes but I go for 30 minutes always. Never had failed me.
The conditioner that it comes with is lovely.
VERY small amount of smell compared to many other hair dyes.
Smell doesn't linger after you wash your hair and if it does, it would be gone after you wake up the next day.
My hair length is just past my boobies :D Lolz! I used 2 boxes at first but now I just use one to cover roots etc. But with black roots, the colour blends in very well so I can get away with roots a bit longer than having lighter brown hair.
This is my go-to-never-fail colour/brand for Asian hair.

Not happy with this dye. My hair was a medium brown with some red hints (althought my hair is naturally an off-black colour) in it before using this. I wanted a medium chocolate brown and thought Bitter Cappucino would be perfect for me (after looking at the results on the box and reading reviews). I left it on my hair for 15mins (it stung my scalp for the first 5 mins), rinsed off and used the conditioner it comes with. The conditioner wasn't great quality at all - very thin and didn't seem to penetrate my hair shaft. Didn't leave my hair feeling nice and soft or anything. Anyway, after letting my hair air dry I was disappointed with what I saw. My hair was a dark brown/off black colour. It was sooo dark...not what I was expecting at all, and I'd only left the dye on 15 mins! The dark colours in the Palty range are supposed to contain a small percentage of bleach in them...so why it left my hair looking like a midnight forest is beyond me. I am happy that it didn't damage my hair or anything though. Wouldn't repurchase.
UPDATE: After 5 washes or so, the colour is fading a bit and looking closer to what I originally wanted it to be.

ok, friday night i dyed my thin, flat asian hair with grown out dark brown/black roots and blond highlights to "bitter cappuccino". i really wanted to just lighten my roots to a lighter brown so that the contrast between my roots and the grown out highlights wouldnt be so jarring. i was only planning on doing my roots but then i got carried away and did my whole head! anyway, its so easy to do, just add 1 & 2 together, shake really well, replace the cap with the comb nozzle and off you go! the box even has a cute little perforated hole you can use to keep the bottle standing up! the japanese have the cutest more useful packaging i noticed (even with their foods!). from the online pics, i was originally going to get "honey brown" but when i saw the girl on the box in store, i was like HECK NO-that girl has blond hair practically! so i went with "bitter cappuccino" because it looked to be more of a brown. ok, the comb applicator that it comes with? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! why cant the american companies make that? that thing is pure genius! not only does it help you get every last bit of dye into your hair, it keeps the solution from NOT dripping all over the darn place. its just fabulous! the first 30 seconds i put the product in my hair it burned just a little bit but faded fast. i left it in for 20 minutes, hopped in the shower, shampooed and used their little package (seriously, they couldnt give you a tube at least for $9.99?) of conditioner and voila, i had SOFT, honey colored brown hair! WTH? i was sooo impressed! this hair dye does not leave your hair feeling like straw, smells great, and my hair is still soft and shiny! seriously girls, i had overprocessed porous hair from highlighting. this stuff is the BOMB! i am only going to use palty from now on because it truly does deliver and give you the colors the most of us asian girls desire. i am going to use this on my brother next! great stuff but remember, the pictures ont he box are not true to color. if i were you, turn the box around and look and the "if your hair is this color, it will turn THIS color" hair swatches. thats more accurate. i wish i could get that conditioner in a full size bottle, its awesome stuff...oh and one bottle covered my entire head. i have long hair about an inch below my collar bone and an inch above my breasts. it was JUST enough. if its any longer, two bottles would be necessary for sure.
