You know when a product has impressed you when you start panicking about running out (before it's even 1/2 empty!)

This is a straight-forward creamy cleanser which calms skin, leaving it refreshed, less prone to oiliness but not at all dry. Before trying this I'd never got what the fuss was about with cleansers as skin 'care' rather than just makeup removal but I've had an 'ah ha' moment in that my skin feels so much more comfortable after using this.

I have very temperature reactive skin so usually after washing my face it is quite red from the warm water but with this it's not at all!

Thank you REN this is a winner.

The only thing I'd add is that I don't think this gets rid of heavier makeup or SPF 100% so in the evenings I double cleanse with an oil based cleanser before using this which seems to work very well.

First impression:
Wow! Love this cleanser, makes my skin clearer just in a few days. Very noticable effect and calms skin down.
I really like the packaging and the way REN promote themselves, that they ban animal testing. Only downside to the product: the smell. Very natural which speaks for the ingredients but if you are used to the parfumbased skincare things so far it is a difference.
I have combination skin although this is promoted for blemish prone skin, this works for me but it probably would be very drying for a dry skin. Then I would not use it on a daily basis.

I am surprised this product doesn't have any more reviews! I have seen it mentioned quite a few times on youtube so I decided to go out and purchase it as I have been struggling with the occasional blemish on my face. When I say occasional I mean 1 or 2 pimples every week. This cleanser claims to combat the causes of blemishes by calming the skin and effectively cleansing it as well.

This has become my HG cleanser. If feels absolutely incredible on my skin. It is rich and creamy and really cleanses my skin well. I wear foundation every day and after removing my make up with a make up wipe this takes care of any excess that might have been left.

I have combination/sensitive skin but I seriously think you could use this even if you had dry skin. The cleanser makes your face feel so comfortable after using it, not dry and tight at all.

Since using this product (about 3 weeks now) I have not had a single blemish! I am super impressed and will continue to purchase this cleanser. I will also be checking out the other products that they have in this specific range for blemish prone skin.

What a winner!

This is the best cleanser I have found, my skin is prone to blemishes, oily in parts and dry in others and this is just the perfect balance for me. I have repurchased this about 4 times now and I doubt I will ever use anything else. It isn't any good at removing makeup but personally I like to remove my makeup before applying a cleanser otherwise I feel like your just pushing dirt around your face and not letting the product get to your skin. I massage this into my face for about a minute and it smells really relaxing and then rinse off with warm water. I saw improvements in the first couple of days and as it is a clay based cleanser it helps my oily areas. So far all the REN products I tried have been lovely.

A fab cleanser. My red, acne prone skin loves it. I use this after removing my makeup with Micellar water. Just squeeze a bit into your hand, and massage all over the face for a minute or two. It feels wonderfully calming and gentle. Then I remove it with warm water and a flannel gently. My skin really likes this product, it leaves me with no greasiness, no dryness, nothing, just comfortable, happy skin.

WARNING: Long review. Summary: LOVE this cleanser. With the help of this cleanser and a combo of super gentle products, my skin's finally gotten a break from acne that's transitioned from teen- to adult-acne.

For starters, I absolutely love this product. I purchased it on a whim after getting absolutely tired of the ineffective ProActiv system and the overly drying (but still effective) Khiel's Rare Earth Cleanser. I've seen the brand before but didn't know anyone who used ANYTHING from it. But I am absolutely happy that I bought it. It was the most gentle acne-targeted cleanser I've ever bought (and I haven't bought many high-end ones since I am terribly afraid of the over-drying effect). It doesn't leave my skin tight (any tightness I may experience would be from the tap water I use and the fact that it's usually my 2nd cleanser).

I use this after I remove my makeup with the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser and follow it with the Liz Earle Instant Boost Tonic. My change to this Ren cleanser in addition to the Liz Earle toner have granted me the clearest skin I've ever had since high school. Seriously. Granted, I was sick for 2 weeks, never had to wear any makeup, and used other products after. But this combo definitely helped make my skin look its absolute best in the longest time.

You get a very generous amount of product in the bottle. My first bottle (currently on my 2nd and have a 3rd for backup--that's how much I love it) lasted me 6 months. The packaging is a little difficult to work with. I appreciate the pump, but it does tend to get some product stuck inside, which dries and makes the next application a little hard. But it's nothing bad. Also, when you're trying to squeeze out the very last bits out, the natural vacuum system that the inner "bag" creates in the bottle isn't at all helpful.

Overall, I'm in love with this cleanser and am saddened to think of my skin getting used to it. I am currently looking for another cleanser that pleases me as much as this one... just so I have a variety to work it.

The best cleanser I have used to date! Will not remove makeup though! Within 5-7 days of use, noticed a dramatic change in my skin! I suffer from acne and redness... both of these were rduced dramatically. As soon as I stopped using it (only because i ran out!) I straight away broke out. The only issue would be the packaging - as the proudct is held in an almost bag inside the pump bottle..... which stops pumping when there is still a decent amount of product inside :( About $40 aus dollars... worth every bit! Highly reccomended!

I went to sephora in search for a new cleanser. I am having mild acne around my chin and jawline as well as tiny bumps that just doesn't go away regardless of what product I've used. Even after a Facial session... Everything just got worst. I've only used this cleanser for 4 days and I've seen great result. It isn't dry out my skin and the bumps are gone ... Will definitely repurchase.

P/s:- this doesn't work to remove makeup... Pls use a separate cleanser for that

I started using this product with big hopes based on the comments here. The salesperson at the pharmacy had recommended this product when i told her i was looking for a cleanser which would not strip off my skin and make acne worse. Well, this thing certainly is not harsh, but the problem is that it does not clean either !!! After minutes of massaging, i see that all my foundation is still on my face, when i check the resuduals with my clinique toner. I wish it cleaned better, cause i liked the natural ingredients.

This product is my skin savior. I am ALWAYS tempted to stray on to other cleansers and try out new ranges that have been launched, but without fail I always come back to REN's Clearcalm Clay Cleanser.

Within 1-2 day's it completely normalizes your complexion and gives you a thorough deep cleanse that does not strip or dry out your skin. I have very sensitive, combination skin that is prone to hormonal breakouts and regular use of this product keeps my skin in great condition every day. Although the clay texture initially can feel different and 'odd' it soon becomes normal and I actually look forward to massaging the mentholated clay on both morning and night.

I LOVE that this product combined with the Clearcalm Night Serum has completely transformed my skin. My usual heavier coverage foundation is in the bin, and I now only use Chantecaille Just Skin and Hourglass Concealer.

I am using this cleanser in the am only. I wouldnt use this to remove makeup. I use a separate makeup remover for that (Sensibio)
this has calmed down my skin tremendously without stripping it and drying it out and leaves my skin feeling very comfortable and clear and ready to take on the day. FYI: I have acne prone, dehydrated, sensitive skin. Glad I Found this, im loving it and on my second bottle.

Great cleanser for acne prone skin, especially those of us who have hormonal breakouts. The clay helps draw impurities out while the calming ingredients soothe redness and irritation.

Ever since I hit my twenties, I've been suffering with mild breakouts only in my chin area. Added to this, I have dry, incredibly sensitive, very fair skin that gets red and blotchy very easily.
Before going on a cross border shopping trip, I decided to do some research in hopes of finding a good cleanser that might finally help sort out my breakouts. I already use a cleansing oil to remove my makeup, but really wanted something that would cleanse my skin and remove bacteria etc.
After extensive research, I decided to get this cleanser from Ren and I'm so glad that I did! With only one week of use, my skin already has a nicer texture and I've had no breakouts. I love the smell and texture of this cleanser as it doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped but at the same time it feels very clean and soft. I also appreciate that Ren doesn't use parabens, sulfates or synthetic fragrances.
Overall, I'm so happy I splurged on this cleanser. Sure, it's not cheap but it's a massive bottle and you don't need much. Hopefully I'll continue getting great results and I'm looking forward to trying other Ren products once they're available in Canada.

I like Ren Skincare, I like natural rather than scientific products. I bought this in SpaceNK on the advice of the assistant after my face was suffering change of season in-balance. It had become rather blotchy and clogged, I imagine from the increased moisture/oils I ahd been using through the winter.
Texture is creamy clay and the massaging for a couple of mins as suggested does seem to have more impact than a normal rub on and remove technique. First day I really did see a big difference and my skin looked much clearer and calmer instantly and better the next morning. The effect was quite short term for me eg max an hour before resorting to blotchy, which I imagined would improve with time. After 2 weeks my skin turned oily with big open pores; I have never ever had this before. While the cleanser doesn't appear strong or feel like it is stripping my face of good and bad it was clearly having some negative effect. For me the short term difference hasnt transformed into medium term results.
In Summary, I consider this would work for more serious skin conditions than mine. I am normally combination/sensitive, on this occassion this seemingly gentle cleanser was too powerful for my blotchy and congested face.

I have extremely sensitive skin that reacts to pretty much everything except for Cetaphil's gentle cleanser. In addition to eczema, I have blemish-prone skin. I was in search of an anti-acne cleanser that would help deep cleanse my face without irritating it or over drying it while helping reduce blemishes.

I came across this cleanser while browsing Sephora's website. After reading the reviews I had to try it.

The price is a little more than what I'm usually willing to pay for when it comes to a skin cleanser. $32 for 5oz is a lot. However, I am glad I broke down and purchased this because this clay-cleanser has really helped with keeping my acne at bay. I also have been experiencing less mid day oiliness. This being an anti-acne cleanser, you'd assume it would be drying and you'd need a moisturizer to follow. But that isn't the case. In fact, ever since using this I've felt that my skin has felt more "normal" than it has in the past. I can actually skip the moisturizer and my skin doesn't feel tight or dry and as I mentioned before I don't have the mid day oiliness.

Another great thing about this is that the brand focuses on being all natural.

If you're having a problem with acne, but have difficulty using anti-acne skincare because of irritation give this a try!!

I've finally found a cleanser that combats my oily skin!! Even in the dry winter months, my face would get shiny within an hour after washing it but with this product, I really do notice a difference! It has also definitely reduced the size of my pores, another big plus. I didn't give it five stars because I still get my usual small colorless pimples, but at least the huge red ones aren't showing up anymore!! Ask for a sample at Sephora to give it a try, that's what I did.

I came into Sephora looking for something better for my skin, and the SA referred me to Ren ClearCalm. I have very dry, sensitive, blotchy red skin and at the age of 26, was suffering from adult acne all over my chin. Without knowing what to do, I starting doing a benzoyl peroxide regimen that was BLOWING up my skin! So I was excited to try something new. I rarely listen to the SA gimmicky shpiels (sp?) about products so I was really surprised at how much I liked it..this clay cleanser cured my face of acne in less than 1 month. I wish I could post before and after pics...I'm SO happy to find something that keeps zits away, but doesn't destroy my face in the process! SO HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for people with zits and sensitive dry skin!

This product is the only thing that keeps my skin clean. It's even better than my Clarisonic Mia. I use it twice a day on my t-zone. I follow it with a toner and then my face cream and sunscreen. My pores are finally clean, and it's not harsh on my sensitive. I can't recommend this product enough!

i used a sephora code and i got a trial size of this. I always hear about people saying how there pimples cleared up with some "miracle": product but I never experienced this till today. I received my 500 point reward and in it contained Murad claryfying cleanser which I have been meaning to get just wasn't sure about it. Well my skin got instantly better with that. Right now I used this Ren product (after using kate somerville exfoliate) and I put a little in my hand, definitely not enough to massage for 1 mintue according to the directions. SO I let it sit there. Man my skin looked instantly better, my pimples shrunk. It was awesome! Maybe cause it was the first time I used it but WOW. My pimples are smaller and for some reason in the past month my skin hass looked terrible and I think it is the Vichy normaderm, a new product I introduced, SO with my terrible skin, I used this product and I got instant results. I hope it has the same effects everytime I use it.
