I have to confess that I have a love hate relationship with this brush.
I quickly went and bought myself one of this baby when the Burberry brushes became available in my country. I read reviews and many reviewers are extremely pleased with the quality of the brush bristles, praising it's softness and how the bristles are not prickly compared to some of the readily available high-end kabuki brushes. That I completely agree with. It has the softest bristles I have come across so far. It picks up blushes, face/loose powders and bronzers very well, yet it applies and blends flawlessly. I absolutely loved this brush.
However, the reason to why I only gave this brush a four lippies are,
- the price. no doubt the price tag is somewhat 'expected', but I believe that there are cheaper kabuki brushes that would be able to deliver the same results, its just that i haven't found 'the one' yet. I paid approximately RM220 for this brush. Which is truly, a bomb indeed.
- dye. I have washed/soaked with brush cleanser/deep cleanse this brush NUMEROUS times, and i still can't stop the dye from bleeding. Which i am extremely upset with considering how much i have paid for this brush alone.
- smell. I am aware that most brushes with natural bristles would have some sort of smell in them, but mine, after the first wash, smelled so terribly bad. I am not sure whether I have received a 'bad' brush, but apparently its normal according to my local Burberry SA. I have brushes from MAC, Chanel and even the other Burberry eye brushes which are too made of natural bristles, yet none of them smelled anything like this. It took great effort, time and patience from washing, soaking and cleansing before the strong smell became something of a 'lingering' smell.
- shedding. As mentioned above, I am not entirely sure if I have received a 'bad' brush, but mine started shedding even before its first wash. It has stopped shedding for now, but once in a while it does sheds one or two bristles.
overall, i think it is a good brush to add into your brush collection (other than the little 'problems' that i have experienced), especially if you're an avid Burberry fan/collector. The packaging like all Burberry Beauty Products, is beautiful. It comes with a black velvet pouch.

This is the softest brush I have ever used. It is a kabuki style brush that is not densed and firm. Very expensive but I think it is worth it.

This brush was pretty pricey at $52 but without a doubt the best brush in my collection and will last for many years. I got rid of my MAC 182 brush and now use this exclusively. I use it daily to apply Dior Forever or Chanel Mat Lumiere powder. It has minimal shedding, is soft enough to feel good on my face but dense enough to pick up the right level of powder. The square handle is sturdy and velvet pouch allows me to store it safely in my cosmetic bag.

Makeup brushes are often an afterthought for me. Usually I settle for the brush within the compact. This brush is indulgent, gentle, utterly soft , plush and thick with pony and goat hair , It sweeps across my face like a whisper . Housed in the GORGEOUS Burberry packaging and super elegant cozy bag with a wrap around cord. At the top of my list of my Burberry makeup collection.

This brush is SO beautiful and crush worthy. So soft and beautiful. Love the square base and the unique shiny metallic finish on the handle. Very luxurious to keep in your purse. But, I'm going to return this. I just can't justify the expense. My mini Sonia Kashuk powder brush (the one that dupes Trish McEvoy's petite powder brush) still works the best as a purse brush - great quality hair and the flat shape means it fits into every purse.
