I have been using this cleanser for four years. I was reluctant to go for a cleanser that was formulated for oily/combination skin as i feared that it would dry my skin out like many other cleansers for this skin type. No such problem. Since I have used this product my breakouts have been reduced, I also had a number of Guinot facials to supplement my skincare regime and this helped to improve the overall condition of my skin. This stuff is kind on the skin but probably not sufficient in correcting moderate/severe acne but is definitely my staple cleanser. I have to use other product ranges such as DDF, Glyderm to keep my break outs away. Another fantastic Gunot product is Masque Equilibre, it can be used all over or in a more localised manner for on the spot treatment, the results are amazing - some spots are blits before they have had the chance to appear fully. I also find it minimizes the pores on the cheeks, something no other product has managed to do.

I have been using this product for 4 years now and it is only thing that works. It doesn't burn or coat my skin. I have sensitive skin (my neck turn red if I just touch it) and I still break out. I have tried them all! My dermatologist insisted on SpectroJel, Dove or Cetaphil. Dove burns my skin, SpectroJel coats my skin and Cetaphil leaves a nasty film which becomes itchy. It costs a lot but I swear you'll only need 2 squirts and it will last you a long time.

This is a nice balanced cleanser that does what every facial wash should do! Why is is that something that works so simply and so well, should cost so much? Gotta love the French. They know skin care.

I love this gentle cleansing gel. I have combination skin, but most cleansers just make my skin feel tight, but not this one. It doesn't lather up too much (which is good), but gives a thorough cleaning without stripping my skin dry. I highly recommend this. It has a very slight pleasant smell to it, that isn't overpowering to my sensitive nose.

Purifying Cleansing Gel with Citrus Extracts for Combination and Oily Skin.
Contains: (from the Guinot site as product does not include ingredient list)
"Sulfur:purifies and helps regulate sebum production,
Lemon Extract:astringent properties,
Orange Extract:astringent properties,
Papaya Extract:deep cleansing enzyme that softens and releases dead skin cells."


A couple pumps was all it took to remove impurities and makeup, including e/s and mascara. Does not overstrip or irritate my sensitive skin, even right after a brow wax. Pleasing citrusy scent. This will not replace my Awake Clear Gel but since i love to experiment with great new things I'm really happy I picked this up. This is not for those of you that love foaming cleansers as this has no foaming properties. I find I love it more in the am when I am not wearing anything at all on my skin. (I use Awake Clear Gel for Combo Skin in the pm to wash my face and remove all makeup traces) Rinses very nicely too wihout overstripping or leaving film behind. Also it is soooooooooo gentle on my *ULTRA* sensitive eyes. Just lovely all around. I'm very pleased. Price is great too. 6.9 oz.
