Absolutely gorgeous deep, warm plum creme, opaque in two coats - it looks black in low light, and really only shows the bottle color in bright light. It lasted a week with only minimal tipwear, and that had more to do with shrinkage. The polish itself is a good not-too-thick consistency and easy to work with. Dries in about 15 minutes per coat. The brush is perfect for my rather amateurish polish application skills. Great shade - I'll be trying it under some of my sheerer purple polishes, like Sinful I Love You. On the topic of whether the Complete Salon Manicures can really be worn without a separate b/c or t/c, the 2nd pic above is mine; the answer is "Yes, but it looks nicer with added t/c."

I was disappointed with how this colour turned out on my nails. In the bottle, it is a pretty plum shade but once I finished applying three coats (to even out the coverage and streaks), it turns darker and looks more black in colour. It reminded me of how OPI's 'Lincoln Park After Dark' turned out on me, it gradually becomes darker as you layer on another coat. This didn't apply as evenly compared with some of the other's I've tried from this line. It's a little streaky/uneven with application giving "bald patches". I think this is due to the formula being runnier and harder to control.

I do like this polish, as with all the salon manicure line, but the color comes off as closer to black then a deep plum. If I'm in the house, I just look like there is black polish, but outside you can see its a deep plum. I wish it just went on like how it does in the bottle. And without a good topcoat these polishes chip the very next day (at least on me)

I love the brush that comes with these. Makes it so easy to do my nails! This is pretty much your average vampy purple. Looks darker on the nail than in the bottle. I am used to doing 3 coats, so that wasn't really a problem for me. I have a lot of CSMs and will continue to buy them because of the brush, nice bottle design and good quality polish. I change my nail polish every few days so wear wasn't an issue. I easily got through 2-3 days without chipping, using Trind as a basecoat and Nubar Diamont topcoat.

I love this product line, I have many of the polishes. This one, like the other reviewer stated, is so dark it looks black. The bottle color is gorgeous, but the first coat is way too streaky and a second coat makes it look black. The opaque-ness is great after a second coat and I will keep it but wont repurchase when I run out.

I bought four of these polishes at a recent BOGO sale and so far Plum Luck is the only one that I'm definitely not keeping. In the bottle, it's a beautiful deep plum color. But because the product is SO pigmented and applies very thickly, it ended up looking like an almost-black eggplant. In fact, this is nearly an exact dupe of Rescue Beauty Lounge's Film Noir, which I happened to be wearing on my toes. I literally ran from room to room, comparing the two colors in every light, and then consulted my mom. They aren't identical, Plum Luck is a little dustier, but they are very very close. That's good news if you don't want to pay RBL prices and like the formula and brush for Complete Salon Manicure. But... since I already have Film Noir and love it, it's not good news for me. It's too bad because I loved the bottle color for this polish. EDIT: Just had a look at this in sunlight and it's definitely more of a grape purple than an aubergine purple. But still so dark it almost looks black.
