Bought one of these in Gin Daisy-Tini for me and DBF to share. It is seriously the best shaving cream either of us has ever used. Poor DBF has very sensitive skin and Shavettes softens the skin so much while making the razor glide smoothly, so you need less pressure. On my less demanding legs, it performs equally well... I haven't had a nick while using it. This particular scent discolored to a rather pretty mauvey-brown, which I personally have no problem with. The scent is lovely...fruity, yet zesty from the juniper-gin note. Both of us love it and plan to order again in other scents.

I reviewed the earlier, runnier formulation of Shavettes in this thread, but had to come back for the new, thicker formula.

I.Love.This! Super smooth shave, adore the consistency as it's whipped and fluffy. I want to use this as a shower whip as well (but can't justify that as it's too expensive).

I have this in the scent Perfect Harmony which is a very clean, lovely scent with a hint of floral (Origins a Perfect World compliment). And best yet, this thick, fluffy foam formula loves my legs back!

MMU Shavettes - my sister ordered this in Almond Pastry. Not too crazy about this scent since I'm particularly fond of nutty scents, but I had to try the product anyway. Great stuff! I'll never use the cheap shaving creams I buy from drugstores ever again. This stuff is awesome. It goes on smooth and my razor just glided so easily. The best part is that I my skin didn't feel dry, itchy and irritated afterwards. I would order this again, but in a different scent.

I like this product and the yummy smells but personally dont see any difference with this over a drugstore shave cream. I may rebuy just for the yummy smells and it does work perfectly fine, but I may save my money for actual makeup!

Lovely stuff. Very moisturizing, and & I get a really close shave with this. I have it in Cantaloup Whip & I love the scent so I'm always happy to shave. :) Although it seems expensive, a little goes a long way. Will definitely repurchase even though I HATE the jar container.

I love this product. My legs are so smooth after shaving with this, and it really minimizes any shaving irratation for me. I've bought it in several different scents, and I'll continue to purchase it. This product deserves all the raves it gets!

I'm usually too lazy to bother with shaving cream, but I got a 2 oz. tub of this bc. I'd read so many raves. I love it! Great consistency that both helps the razor glide & leaves the skin nice & soft.

I also have to rave about the scent choice... Tres Leches Sponge Cake. Smells just like a fluffy cake with a sweet & milky undertone. Very strong & true - would be lovely in a body cream!

Mmm...this is one deluxe shaving cream. The thick, moisturising forumula allows my razor to glide closely, and leaves my skin soft. I only wish the packaging was as nice as the product inside.



AMARETTO & ANISE: A wonderful fragrance for Shavettes! The smell is a potent mix of sweet almonds and dark, pungent licorice. I have a feeling any almond-scented Shavettes would rock, but this is a superb unisex scent!

This is the best shaving product I have ever used! If you are obsessed with having super-smooth legs like I am, give this a try. Dont forget to leave it on for at least a minute before you start shaving, it really helps give you the closest possible shave. I got this in the bubble gum scent and, although it does smell like bubble gum, I will try another scent next time. It smells nice but not what I expected.

This was my very first time trying Shavettes and I ordered them in Banana Custard (White Mud Cake & Banana blend) and Friendship Cake. I really love them both, but especially the Banana Custard. This is an excellent product. I now know why everyone has been raving about it. I tried one scent one each leg, following the directions and got a wonderful, moisturizing, close shave. It really does feel great when you are putting it on. I will definitely reorder again when I run out.

Nobody really NEEDS frou-frou shaving assistance on their legs! Or so I thought. Fool, fool, FOOL. I've used other items before, and yeah, my legs were much more slick and easier to shave, that's what they're supposed to do, guys had that figured out with their faces long ago. Lotion, shea butter washes, shower gels, they all work fine. I scoffed at my sample pot of Shavettes, some silly item here to clog up my shower caddy. Then I did all the wrong things (didn't leave it on for a minute, used a razor that had seen better days) and I still had the best shave of my LIFE. AHH! Super slick shaving (the razor nearly slimed out of my hand a few times), intensely scented (makes leaning over for the boring job of leg shaving WONDERFUL smelling), but still, I didn't know how fantastic this was until I dried off and looked at my legs--smooth and shiny and sleek, I'm like a marble statue. I'm a brunette with very pale skin, so if it's not a close shave, you can definitely tell. This was so close it almost looked like my legs had been waxed! FANTASTIC! Sign me up! Another poster said it perfectly--this is the Cadillac of products like this--why drive the Honda when you can have this beauty?!

This is a great product. I get the closest shave and I'm not patient enough to let it sit for a minute before shaving. My legs are never irriated and bumpy afterwards. I still have to moisturize my legs but they're not dry and itchy and dying for lotion like they are with all other shave gels and lotions. And there's so many scents to choose from!
Yes, MMU is pricey, but they always have deals and discounts, and shavettes is really worth it.

Nice stuff. Expensive tho..everything at MMU is,,for only four ounces of lotions it's outrages for such a tiny jar. Anyway, my beau likes this. THIS ISN'T THE BEST OUT THERE THO...THE BEST HE LIKES TO SHAVE WITH IS L'OCCITANE SHAVE CREAM ABOUT 20BUCKS A TUBE (LARGE TUBE). He got this in Stressmanagemint and Amaretto/anise the amaretto/anise is to die for smell!

I tried this based on the raving review and wasn't disappointed! I get the closest shave ever (no nicks or scraps as with Gillette shave gel)! Really, I didn't feel the razor even when I pressed my Venus razor hard against my skin! It is expensive, but no biggie because Shavettes is only used when I don't have time to wax. The only drawback is the waiting part: this is going to be a summer only product because I might freeze to death in the winter! Will definitely repurchase.

While I loves the smell, (elixer), I was not overwhelmed with the results. I do not like that I have to wait a minute before shaving, and while I did have a close shave, I had VERY itchy legs afterward....I'll stick with skintimats for sensitive skin...I get a CLOSE shae and have no irritation...plus its much cheaper!
And the tub is not the easiset to use and isnt very hygenic....

I just tried it this morning for the first time and have the closest shave I've ever had (we're talking about 22 years of shaving here). I don't think I'll ever go back to drugstore shaving cream/gel. I got this in Citrus Twist, which is a wonderful citrus (strong lemon note) scent.

I got this in Birthday Cake, Carmel Apple, and Bakers Fantasy & Whitemud cake and I LOVE THEM! I have used regular shaving cream for years and tonight I got the closest & best shave ever on my legs. It smelled so yummy and spread so nice on my skin. My razor literally glided across my legs and I can't believe what a sensational job it did. Definately a repurchase again and again.

Okay, after reading about this I broke down and ordered some...in White Mud Cake. I followed the directions, used a fresh razor, and pow! Smooth, silky skin and an impossibly close shave. I am addicted!
