My hair is very frizzy and no shampoo was helpful but the time that I tried Pantene my hair is very happy. It works like magic. Now my hair feels smooth and soft and is completely tamed. I particularly like the shine that is so obvious in my hair now. I simply love this Pantene Shampoo.

This sucks! It coats your hair in silicone and killed any texture I had while turning it into a giant frizz ball of volume. (and not the good kind). Save your hair and DO NOT try this. I loved it at first but now...........

This is my HG shampoo/conditioner. I can't live without it cause it does wonders for my hair. I have thick hair which is the reason why it works for me. The shampoo/conditioner makes the texture of my hair better.

i use this shampoo, i think it says it is 2 in 1. i love it. i actually have stopped using conditioner because of it. this does everything i need. and i used to be OCD about conditioner, making sure i used good brands with moisturizing properties and deep conditioners once a week. so im kinda shocked & surprised that i have disbanded my use of conditioner. weird, but okay. it makes it a lot simpler in the shower to use just one product. FYI i wash my hair everyday and never use heat styling because my hair is naturally not frizzy & wavy.

This shampoo did a really good job smoothing and making my hair really soft and manageable, but there's a big down side. It made my forehead break out, no shampoo has ever done that before and I didn't figure out this was the reason for a long time.I used this two years ago and switched to TIGI bed head/ got retin a medication for my acne at the same time, so I threw the Pantene in my bathroom cabinet still full. two weeks ago I ran out of another shampoo and decided to use this. Since I'd started on the acne treatment my skin had long ago cleared up and I don't use it anymore, I thought it was cause I'd gotten older, but nope it's cause I got off this crap. Dont let this near your skin. Too bad, cause it did a good job otherwise.

Awful. Just terrible. My hair immediately feels disgusting after showering. It leaves this sticky residue that makes my hair feel like I haven't showered in a week. This shampoo is going immediately into the trash.

I loooove this shampoo&conditioner! Its all I use. It really keep your hair sleek&shiny. Plus soft&smooth! Fabulous! I have some of the thickest hair,ever,its a pain but this shampoo keeps it light fluffy&clean. Never any residue left or greasy feel. It has a great smell and i would defiantly recommend it to anybody. Does what it says and dosent break your bank!

I've been using this shampoo for about two years solid. I really like it. It has really helped my hair smooth out and dry a bit straighter.
there's no residue. Leaves my hair light and soft. I've never had any wax or build up from this shampoo.

It also keeps my hair smoother and straighter in humidity. Even when I'm not using any hair products, there's a major improvement in that area.
For reference I live in florida where the weather is always humid, hot and rainy. My hair is also naturally wavy/curly.
I don't have to worry about my hair frizzing up or curling anymore.

If you buy the regular sized bottle, it WILL run out very quickly - especially since this is for thicker hair. I buy the large bottles and they last me a good two to three weeks. It is a couple dollars extra but so worth it.

I'll keep buying until I find something better.

I'm not surprised at the bad ratings. I used Pantene for over a decade from the 1990s into the 2000s. I tried other things when they kept changing the formulas & the scent.


I first bought the "new" Pantene last year when it came out and immediately HATED IT because it didn't have the old Pantene scent. :-(



It also seems to be a bit more coating than the old formulations.
However, it is really growing on me. I've been reaching for this shampoo and the matching conditioner more than any other products I have - and I have 2 CLOSETS full of products.


This shampoo isn't really stripping and I have to shampoo twice to get off buildup. I follow with the conditioner which I leave on for the duration of my shower and end up with hair that has nice, clumpy curls and much less frizz than I'm used to. I only add a bit of oil(usually jojoba) and braid to let dry with frizz free braid waves.


The only thing I don't like is the scent. I miss the old Pantene scent and this one mostly smells like strong perfume & chemicals. It's too sweet and just not really pleasant for me, but I overlook it because I'm liking how it works.


Will repurchase.

I HATE THIS SHAMPOO. My sister bought me a 900ml package which i regret because i will never use it. It does not make my hair soft. it make my hair feel brittle and dry and it leaves a residue in my hair. the only thing i like about it is the scent.

This product sucks. I've been looking everywhere for some kind of shampoo that will smooth down my hair. I have really thick hair and if it dries by blow-dryer or naturally, it gets super frizzy and hard to manage. So I thought Pantene would be a great option, because I've used some good products of theirs in the past. Boy was I wrong with this one. My hair literally felt like it was being stripped.. it felt DRY as hell all the time. It took forever to style my hair to look actually decent, and my frizzy hair stayed frizzy. It did smell pretty good, and I got compliments before for it. But I wouldn't waste my money ever again on this shampoo/conditioner set.

I have extremely frizzy, wavy hair and I bought this in hopes I wouldn't have to straighten my hair all the time to get rid of frizz. It worked fine in the beginning, but I never really loved it all that much. It never reduced any of my frizz (which is quite terrible to be honest). The combination of all my hair-straightening and blowdrying left my hair EXTREMELY dry!! I'm super disappointed:( Pantene is generally a brand I can rely on.

TERRIBLE! Made my hair so super greasy just hours after shampooing (without putting any product in). It's a shame considering how much I spent on the product. I used to use pantene shampoos all the time so I'm extremely disappointed. Don't bother wasting your money!

I thought nothing would ever make me touch a Pantene shampoo again. They are terrible, drying, did I mention terrible? I tried to use this one up as a hand wash and it turned my hands into a dry, scaly mess. Anyway, I bought this and the conditioner because I read in a magazine that Pantene had pioneered some special anti-frizz miracle. They lied. It's as simple as that.

It's an alright shampoo, all over. However I find that it removes too much moisture from my already somewhat dried and damaged hair, due to the fact that my hair grows quite fast and fades quickly I need to dye it often. I don't like the conditioner either, it gives no moisture.

This will be a long but honest feedback on this product.
My third round of purchasing this product was just today. I love the smell of Pantene Shampoos and with my lions-mane hair, Pantene's Medium-Thick Solutions (Frizzy - Smooth) has really helped me. I have also purcashed Pantene's Medium-Thick heat protectant spray, detangler spray and smoothing cream. I would buy this product again, I am perfectly satisfied with it for it's price and for the fact its a drugstore product. No it's not salon material, but it really has made my hair a lot nicer than in the past and suffices just fine.

2 TIPS TO MAKE THIS PRODUCT WORK BETTER FOR YOU
To get the softer effect on your hair: If you are a medium-thick haired girl and you're not satisified with this product, a general tip would be to use shampoo more towards your roots (on the scalp) and then loads of conditioner all over, but more on your ends than on your scalp to prevent it from getting too greasy. Conditioner is the key to make it smooth.

To reduce Frizz: I go to bed with my hair wet (I put a towel over my pillow) and when I wake up in the morning my hair feels really soft and theres no frizz whatsoever. So maybe try that, I took a shower in the afternoon today with this shampoo and my hair wasnt as nice because I didnt sleep with it wet.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with this product. I have honestly gotten numerous compliments on how soft my hair is and by following my own 2 tips I listed above and owning other Medium-Thick solution products I never have any issues with my hair anymore. As for the packaging, I love how they have mini-versions of this shampoo as well as 2 different size bottles to select from (Regular and Extra-Large). The lid is easy to open and closes securely, so I am not dissapointed on that note. :)

For this product I will say: Its cheap, it smells good and it works! Buy it. :)

Bought the trial versions of these and am on a 'no buy' kick, just moved and need to finish up my half bottles. My boyfriend is obsessed with washing my hair and gave this and the conditioner a shot. I hate pantene normally but used it, went to bed and WOW!!!!! Absolutely HG status. My hair is bouncy, soft, touchable, and shiny like its never been. I have used so so many shampoos, conditioners, etc and never had results like this. I can go two days with no oiliness, but still wash every day and it looks and feels incredible.

Edit: as with every pantene product I've used, stopped doing anything for my hair after a week.
