I got this as a freebie from my hair salon. Not exactly in need for any volume enhancing products, because my hair is big on its own. So I use this as a thermal protection when blow-drying, but hair definately gets bigger. If you are looking for volume, this works as it says also on heavier coarser hair. No residues, and the smell is pleasant.

This product is my go-to for volume. It works better than anything I've tried before. I apply it a little bit at a time, concentrating on the underside of my roots, and use my fingers to tease it in as I go through. It works best with damp, not wet or dry hair, and it's activated by heat so blow drying is necessary. It smells great. My hair has amazing volume that looks natural; the product doesn't leave a residue, and my hair is not frizzy or overvolumized. The volume lasts all through the next day, provided I don't wash my hair. Granted, it it is drying, but what effective volumizing product isn't? I do wish it came with a spray applicator instead of the pull-top bottle, though. The bottle makes it hard to control when applying it.

I use this every day. Definitely makes a difference in the way my hair looks. Not particularly moisturizing, but not drying either. I put it on after towel-drying my hair, and then blow-dry. Definitely makes my hair thicker and a little more volumized. I love it! Smells really good and salon-y too.

I have the blow drying lotion and use this daily! The packaging isnt the best, and it cracked for me despite a light grip on it. It smells amazing and works well, just be sure to use a small amount or your hair can feel and look oily. A little goes a long way and I have found this product to last months and months. I would repurchase.

I have actually repurchased this. It took me almost 2 years to use up my first bottle since I don't always blow dry and you don't need much and there's a ton of product in the bottle. I let my hair air dry until it's damp, almost dry, and then I apply about a quarter sized amount on my hair and apply serum only to the ends and blow dry upside down. It gives me really big hair but it feels like there's something in it and feels unnatural and is hard to style... but the volume lasts! Things I don't like this product is how volumizing products make your hair feel like it has gunk in it and that for some strange reason, sometimes this makes my hair look amazing and sometimes it doesn't do anything at all. I have no idea why it's so inconsistent.

Doesn't do much. It smells amazing. When I went to the dentist she asked what I was wearing, she loved the smell. But with damaged hair I need something that will actually make my hair feel and smell great.

I have no idea what this stuff is supposed to do outside of act as a thermal barrier but it smells so good I don't really care. I don't notice a huge amount of bodifying action. Is that how you spell bodifying? Doesn't look right.


Anyhoo, I much prefer the Superstar thickening spray but this was on clearance at Wal-mart for $4 so I bought it. I said that I would not buy it again because I will buy the spray instead... were this the only version I would buy it again.


The smell..... it's delightful.

I LOVED these hair products! Great for anyone with thick hair. Gives hair volume and wave while keeping it hydrated and under control. Plus, it smells amazing. Slighty expensive but totally worth it.

I use this every time I blowdry my hair and am always impressed by the results of this product. It's really great at protecting hair and the teeniest dot goes a long way. My main gripe is that the top is a bit hard to open.

Ive had this in my cabinet for a LONG time and still cant finish the bottle. A little goes a long way. It feels kinda slippery and has a weird odor but I like the way it works.

I was a little reluctant to try this product due to an abundance of negative reviews. However, this product sells for $16.95 CAD and I managed to get it on sale for $9.95 CAD so I figured id try it in order to switch it up from my Tigi Bed Head Small Talk (cream). The product seemed really runny so I figured it would make my hair extremely greasy, but I had to try it.
To my surprise, using between a nickel/quarter sized amount it distributed nicely throughout my hair (the product is a little more watery based). I used a flat paddle brush and brushed my hair in the opposite direction my hair falls and I managed to get noticeable volume and thickness without that sticky, greasy residue left behind. My hair texture is medium in thickness, fine, and gets oily easy (also a little past shoulder length). After using this product in the morning, I went to bed and woke up still noticing my hair full of volume and without any oily feeling to it.
I think this product may only work on some people. The people I noticed who had the most trouble with the product are people with thick hair or really thin hair. However, if you manage to get it on sale I would definitely suggest trying it out. I was pleasantly surprised!

Brilliant product could never be without it. Have happily been using this stuff for a good 2 years, it makes hair full of volume..
IF used properly... as in with the use of a barrel brush, it makes a really big difference in the way you blow dry your hair in order for this to work the best, that is to dry away from the way the hair falls (as if your head was upside down), and work the product through the mid section of the hair so you do not weight the roots down,

if you do this your hair will be noticabely thicker looking. it also smells good and does not leave any residue, grease or stickiness what so ever. Its a brilliant product!

I like this product alot. I have the keratin treatment in my hair, which caused alot of static and also made it hard to make my hair have volume. this was the only product that got rid of the static and my hair is actually big again. Very happy!

One of the worst and the most useless purchases i've ever made! It does absolutely nothing to your hair except giving it a nice smell:P. Do not waste your money that's all i'm going to say.

Pros and Cons with this product.

The pros are the great smell. It reminds me of lemonade. I love sweet smells. I like the texture, it's very liquidy so easy to work through damp hair. The bottle looks nice and is a nice dark purple colour but the liquid is clear.

The cons are that I don't think it really works for me. I have shoulder length dark brown hair that gets greasy quickly so I try to put as little on my hair as possible. I also avoided putting this on my roots (I'd work it in about an inch or so lower) to stop it getting greasy so quickly so maybe that's why it didn't work as well as it could have for me.

I think this could be a great product if I had drier hair, but clean and flat wins over volumised and greasy.

This stuff gives me good volume and thickening overall and it has a great smell...pricewise here in canada $23.00+ so i pick it up when I'm in the states ($14.00 US) be careful not to use too much. A little goes a long way.

Whoa....ick! Okay, I admit that I've only used this once so far. (I'm afraid to try it again!), but I hated this stuff. Maybe I put too much on, but I just applied an amount equal to the amounts I've used for similar products. Then I blow dried my very fine, straight, volume-challenged hair and it was nasty. It left my root area so heavy and oily feeling. I kept looking at it throughout the day and thinking my hair looked so thin and gross. My hair looked like garbage the entire day. The other thing that really made me reluctant to use it: I traveled with this in my makeup bag. Unfortunately, it leaked out while traveling, so I had to wash my bag out & rinse it off. The bubbles (bubbles?!) were ENDLESS. I couldn't help but be bothered by putting those bubbles in my hair. It was bubbling like a cleanser. Yikes. I may try it again because I have a 99.9% full bottle...but I will wait until I know I'm not leaving the house. As it stands from my first use, I hate it.

this stuff is really good, i always use it as i always dry my hair upside down. i use it along with a volumising spray that ive got. it smells gorgeous, kinda fruity, like berries, and you only have to use the tiniest amount, like a coin, rub it between your hands, and suddenly you have loads! i think this product will go a long way, but i will probably end up buying more when it runs out.. :) oh and the bottle is a cool shape. :)

Great stuff! Gives my thin,scandinavian hair volume, which is quite a miracle... ;) You gotta learn how much to apply though, too much and it just weighs it down. Less is more! Love the smell too, fruit and yummy! That and the bottle just lasts forever pretty much :)

Can't say much about the price since I always buy it off e-bay
