This is my first ever eyeshadow kit, yet I always end up coming back to this. It's really inexpensive and affordable for students, yet the quality of the shadows are still great. It stays on the whole day even without a primer or anything like that. It's a little small, but I prefer it compact and I don't use a lot of eyeshadow anyway so I haven't even hit pan on any color. The packaging is pretty sturdy, I've dropped it countless of times yet it still snaps close perfectly well and nothing's broken!
My only qualm is that it's mostly shimmery shades and I don't really like shimmer on my face in general. The coppery color right in the middle, for example, is the perfect color, but sometimes I wish I could just take all the glitter out of it.
But that's just me, I think people who enjoy a bit of shimmer would still like it, I'm just extra particular.
Can't really comment on the lip product because I've never tried it.
But for the shadows, overall, i would say it's a really good starter neutral palette, definitely worth the money, and I really like it.

I love this eye palette I just wish i had the names to the shades! I use this everyday seriously! I havent used the lip gloss yet but as far as the shadows love love love them!

I bought this palette off eBay for $12 CAD to compare with my Urban Decay Naked Palette (UDNP). Iíve been using both for 2 months now.
For reference, I am an NC 35 and southeast Asian
The NYX palette does not have exact dupes of the UDNP, but from away no oneís going to tell.
The NYX palette is, in my opinion, just as smooth and finely milled as UDNP but definitely not as pigmented as UDNP! I would say the top three colors closest to the mirror are matte (and barely there!!) and everything else have satin/frost finished, but they are not as light-reflective like some in the UDNP.
There is fall out from the NYX darker shadows but not as much fall out from the UDNP glittery shadows and the 88 palette.
Now the glosses, I prefer the darker gloss (left) over the lighter gloss (right) because I find it more natural-looking and less Barbie-like.
The packaging of NYX is tiny and it sucks! The lid is about to come off and I donít even travel with it. Hereís a surprise for you: slide the lip gloss compartment out and turn the palette upside downÖ. What you will see is a wall all greased up from the gloss (YUCK!). And the little brushes for eye shadow and lip glosses are useless are bound to get dropped and lost.
As for the color selection, I prefer NYX since itís (to me) itís more subtle and more complementary to my complexion. I do wish that NYX had more matte colors.
Overall, I would buy this again since I reach for the NYX palette more than the UDNP because:
(1) Itís way cheaper
(2) I use all of the colors
(3) Itís more available
I swatched them and uploaded some pictures.

These are so good for the price. The colors are nicely pigmented and i love the metallic look some of them have. The matte colors are really great as well. The lip color shades aren't really my cup of tea but my friend has this kit too and she loves them. The only reason i didn't give this a 5 is the packaging. It can be hard to slide open and the shadows are a little close together. For the money it's totally worth it though.

I like how small this compact is, so I can carry it around. I like it for work and for traveling, the eyeshadows look very good on my skintone and I can wear all of them. They are a bit powdery, but they stay on pretty well.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Very Dry, Fair Hair: Blond Eyes: Green
I love this! The shadows stay on and wear well throughout the day even without an e/s base. The only thing that disappointed me was I realized when I opened it that it's just like my Too Faced Neutral eye palette. I wear the NYX much more than my Too Faced but yet I paid so much more for my Too Faced.
This is a definite rebuy for me.

This is like fun in box form! I love the way that it's packaged in a cute little cubular box. When you snap open the top, there are 9 beautiful eyeshadows waiting for you. 3 are matte, 4 are shimmer, 2 are matte with sparkle. The matte shadows are very nice for a super natural look, although the cream matte shade is the slightest bit chalky, but it's not a problem. The 4 shimmery shades are all STUNNING, especially the gold in the middle of the bottom row, and the warm brown in the middle of the middle row. The left shadow on the middle row is a dupe for MAC Allthatglitters and is very pretty. The matte with shimmer shadows, are both dark outercorner/crease colors and blend out really well. The eye portion is amazing in this kit! Now onto the lips. There are two lip colors, one is a red toned berry pink color that is very frosty. At first I didn't like it because the frost emphasized the lines in my lips, but if you apply a lip balm beforehand, and then apply it in a vertical motion, it is a beautiful color! The other color is a baby pink with no shimmer, it's pigmented and really cute. I'm in love with this kit, and plan on buying more of them!

This is a pretty fantastic palette and I can see myself getting some good use from this. Has 9 shades of neutral shadows in different finishes (satin, shimmer and frost?). Although I don't really care too much for the frosty shadows, for the price, I can't really complain. I was surprised at how well the pigmentation of these shadows were. They apply nicely and are easy to blend. When I use a primer, these last all day and I don't have problem with creasing. The two lip colours are alright and would suit many skintones, but I don't find myself using them too much. I like the packaging too. A sleek black compact. I would definitely recommend.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Dry, Warm Hair: Brunette, Wavy, Medium Eyes: Brown
The shadows are very pigmented except for the matte brown on the top right corner. There are 3 matte shadows (a beautiful highlight color, perfect everyday taupe, and unpigmented dark chocolate brown) the rest are shimmers, which I can't recall right now. They are very pigmented, and apply/blend easily. There is a bit of powder fallout in the palette, but hey nobody's perfect.
The lip colors are very pretty, but neither of them look good on me.
I love how compact the palette is and how you can make several looks with this! I carry it everyday. In case I need to touch up or change my look .My most used color is the taupe, as you can see in the picture I posted. LOL. Hit pan on it.
Overall, I'd buy this again, but I wish the matte brown was more pigmented!

The eyeshadow colours are quite good but I have to agree on the quality, not as good as the singles or even the 5 colour palettes. All of the eyeshadow colours can be found in the two I Dream of palettes Nevis and St Marteen so these might be a better option particularly if you find these are your everyday colours. The lip colours are fairly useless, they're not very pigmented at all and act more as lip glosses, and the brush that comes with the kit is useless. Really you're better off just using your fingertip to smear it over the top of a lip pencil used to fill in the lips. Personally I'd rather that the kit came with a couple of mini eye pencils. Still I bought online inexepensively and will use it up. I won't rebuy because I only really want eyeshadows and because I only use makeup a couple of times a week anyway.

I love the colors. I wasn't expecting to dig the lip colors as much as I do. The texture is wonderful (it's new). I'm very much a fan. :D
Each shadow shade is usable.

Surprisingly, I actually like this. I bought this as a dupe for my Too Faced Natural Eye kit, and for traveling. My Too Faced kit is larger, bulkier, and since it was fairly expensive, I don't like traveling with it or even taking it out of the house (in case the shadows break or something while jostling around in my bag). So when I saw this online for $11, I googled some swatches, decided it was extremely similar, and decided to purchase it as a backup.
The obvious difference is the quality, the Too Faced shadows are much silkier and more pigmented. You can tell from swatching them that the Too Faced shadows are much finer milled, and higher quality. However, for a cheap knockoff, the Nyx quality actually isn't that bad. The Nyx shadows are silky, glide on smoothly, and are easy to foil for a more dramatic effect. Since this is the cheaper alternative, I use this as my daily eyeshadow kit and for traveling, and I save my Too Faced shadows for special occasions now. The colors are almost identical between the two kits, and that's the primary reason that I purchased this... I have a hard time finding colors that suit me and don't look "muddy" on my eyes, and I'm pleased to announce that the Nyx colors appear the same in person as the Too Faced shades. You can't tell which kit I've used while the product is on my face, and I like that. It saves me having to replace the more expensive kit, as I can just use this one up and it's very cheap/affordable to replace on a more regular basis.
Compared to Too Faced, the shimmery highlight shadows in this are a bit darker and more peachy/pink toned, as opposed to the TF ones which appear more silvery once applied. Alot of people actually prefer the Nyx highlight shades though, as they don't contain noticeable glitter like one of the TF highlights does. The gold color in this is also a bit different, it's not as smooth and metallic looking as the gold in the TF kit. When I swatch that shade in the higher end kit, it literally looks like I dipped my finger in gold, very smooth and extremely shiny/metallic... However the Nyx gold is obviously not as finely milled, and doesn't look as metallic or dramatic. This is good or bad, depending on what look you're going for... I prefer dramatic, so I usually just foil the Nyx gold and it comes out almost identical to the other shade. It takes a few extra steps, but for the price and the end result, I really can't complain.
I like this kit alot and would recommend it as a cheaper alternative to the Too Faced kit. TF is obviously the superior quality, but the shadows are about 99% identical in terms of color. As far as packaging, the Nyx kit is smaller, plastic, and snaps shut, which I like as I find it much more compact and travel friendly than TF. It also contains a mirror and 2 lipglosses in a slide out compartment, which TF does not (but probably should for the price). As far as the glosses, they're ok and nothing to rave about... they're pretty much exactly what you'd expect them to be in a cheaper kit like this. However they do come in useful for quick touchups when you don't have a lipgloss on hand, and having a mirror built right in is quite handy for this as well. The shades are nice, fairly flattering, and although alot of people have complained that they're a bit waxy, that's only so they don't melt/run out of their pans.
All in all, this is a decent quality kit considering how cheap it is, and may be perfect for those who are looking for an affordable dupe for Too Faced Natural Eye. If you care about quality, splurge and go with the TF kit, you may be disappointed by Nyx... but if you're not as picky quality-wise and are just looking for a cheap alternative, definately try this out. I'll most likely be repurchasing this when I run out, and will continue to use this as my every day shadow.

It took me ages to get this palette. But finally I did and now I'm really excited about it. First three shades are matte and the others are shimmery. The matte ones are perfect for an everyday wearing, because they just slightly emphasise the eyes without looking far too bold. Great thing is that the darkest matte shade is also good for defining eyebrows - at least for naturally dark eyebrows.
The shimmery shades are suitable for evening, because the colours are more vibrant. And when you blend them well, it looks perfect.
The application of all shadows is good, they are smooth and feel good on the skin. I'm not really sure yet how long they last on the skin, but I feel they could last pretty long even without primer. I'll edit this as soon as I have them on all day.
About the lip colours - I really like the darker one, but not so much the pink one. But I found out, that when you mix them together, the result is very natural and pretty.
There are also two applicators in the palette - for applying eyeshadows and lip colours. They are both pretty much useless, because the eyeshadow one is very short and everyone knows that the best thing for applying eyeshadows is a good brush. But don't even try to use the lip colour applicator, because this one sucks big time. It's strangely sharp and the best thing is to toss it out right away.
Overall I think I'm in love with this product and I'll definitely repurchase when I finish it.

Not impressed...First of all, it's impossible to open the packaging, whether it's trying to open the top or slide out the lip glosses. The palette is so small that I could not even get the e.l.f. eyeshadow brush in each color without touching another color.
Of the nine colors, there are only three matte shades, and one of them was very chalky and didn't have any color. I would think that Nude on Nude natural looks would include less shimmer and more pigmented mattes to appear more "naked".
Additionally, the matte shades were very chalky and I had to keep blowing the excess off the palette. The shimmer shades didn't seem to coordinate together. Some of the shades that I would apply to my lids, were either too dark, or too light. The crease shades were dark and just okay.
The lip glosses are nothing special. The pink was so thick that I used a brush and make a huge dent the first time that I tried the color. I felt it was much too pink for a natural look. The darker color was better than the pink, but it was so hard to apply, and very sticky. Again, not impressed and I love NYX products. I will continue to buy NYX products, but I will stay away from the kits. I will not recommend this to a friend...

Perfect everyday use eyeshadow product.
I love the pink lipgloss it comes with, gives a gorgeous opaque pink shine.
all great colours.
so cheap, i grabbed it off ebay!

This little palette is beautiful and contains some brightly pigmented colors which blend pretty well. The colors are beautiful and I love them with my blue eyes and pale-ish skin. I wish the formula was smoother, like Urban Decay/NARS/Mac/Two Faced, however, I've tried many eyeshadows from the low end brands (Avon, ELF, Cover Girl, Maybelline) and this little palette from NYX has by far the smoothest eyeshadows, as well as the most pigmentation and variety of beautiful colors. If someone finds a low end brand with smooth, highly pigmented eyeshadows, let me know!

Holy crap, this little box is amazing! It has 9 shadows, 2 lip glosses and a mirror. PERFECT FOR THOSE OF US WHO TRAVEL WITH OUR MAKEUP!!! I really feel like this should be permanet. The colors are very pigmented. I haven't tried the lip glosses yet but I like the fact that they are in their own drawer. They would be great stocking stuffers for Christmas but make sure you pick one up for yourself!!!

This product is soooooo cute. It's a small little cube box that unfolds to have a mirror, 9 eyeshadows, 2 lip colors, and 2 tiny applicators. Yes, the eyshadows are tiny, but if they were any bigger then the palatte wouldn't be near as easy to put in your bag. I like the size because it's great for on-the-go. Also, I have been using these colors all summer and still haven't made too much of a dent in any of them! The formula of the shadows is creamy, blendable, highly-pigmented, and long-lasting. The colors themselves are fab, also. There are some mattes, glitter, and mettallic/shimmer shades. I wish I would have bought 2 when I bought this one on sale at cherrculture.com for $8!!!. Probably the best $8 I have ever spent, I have gotten so much use out of this tiny little gem!

It was as if NYX decided to copy Too Faced's Natural eye palette (I own this palette too). In the pan, the colors look identical, but when swatched the NYX shadows are slightly darker. The texture of the shadows are buttery and easy to blend. The Too Faced shadows are slightly more metallic. I am impressed with the texture and pigmentation of these NYX shadows. NYX made other palettes like this one in different colorways but they were extremely chalky. This palette seemed to be the only exception.
The amount of eye shadow you get in this palette is very little per color. Each shadow square is about the size of a dime.
There is a pull out drawer that contains 2 lipsticks, a lip brush and a sponge applicator. The brush and applicator are terrible quality. The lipsticks are a berry color and a warm pink color.
It was $10 and change retail and I would recommend it. However, I still prefer the Too Faced Natural eye palette over this.
