I really like the colour. It's a darkened kelly green with a matte finish. It's a very intense colour--not at all short on pigment. I've found that it's a bit hard to blend, and thusly not my favourite to use. Also, as a bit of a sidenote, this shadow was REALLY hard to depot for some reason. I had it heated for around 20 minutes, nothing like the 5 minutes it usually takes for a MAC shadow. AND the entire cake of shadow fell out of its pan.

Beautiful, dark matte kelly green. Goes on very smooth, very versatile alot of cool ways to mix w/yellows, blues or greens. Great for anyone who likes to play with colour. Unlike an earlier reviewer, I had no problem removing, just used my regular neutrogena eye mu remover and it came right off after staying put for the day. I just wish this came in the pro pallete pans that are a little cheaper, but they said that it did not cause its LE. Glad I got this!

Sassy Grass by MAC was recently released with the Dare to Wear collection. It is the eyeshadow star of the show! I never seen a green like this: it's unique, smooth and nicely pigmented, traits that MAC is known for.
I find this color very versatile. Right now I wear it with Louder Please, Plumage, and Corduroy, all by MAC; and hope to wear it with other colors like Club, Woodwinked, Goldmine, and Expensive Pink from my palette soon. You can wear it with any color really. The best way to apply it is with a stiff brush like the 242 or 252 over a matte primer like a paint pot. You also have to pat it on and them blend to see better results. Sassy Grass
is easy to blend.
Last note, this color is perfect for transitioning from summer to fall makeup. Play it up with brights now and tone it down (I'm thinking with Nehru, Black Tied, Carbon, Sketch, Embark) for the fall.
I love it so much I may back it up. It would be a cool perm color.

I really wanted to love this eyeshadow. I was so excited to get it but like many others have said, it is kinda hard to work with. I really had to rub my brush on the pan to get a decent amount of product for the look I wanted to achieve but I guess it's because it is a matte. Maybe I will try a different brush next time..

I really like this eyeshadow it is extremely pigmented. My only advice would be to prepare for stained eyelids, as I experienced despite using makeup remover. The matte texture really didn't bother me I still thought you could build from this color. And this color is like the shadow comparison to landscape green pigment so if you have that you could skip this color.

When I saw Sassy Grass in person, I instantly fell in love. I've been waiting forever for MAC to make a green like this one. While I think the color is fantastic, the matte formula is not as easy to work with as some of MAC's other eyeshadow formulas. The key to getting good color payoff is to build the color up gradually. Sassy Grass is definitely worth the extra effort.

Sassy Grass is the truest, richest shade of green. The name suits it perfectly. It looks obnoxious in the pot, however it wears quite lovely--not too bright on my GGG skin. If you like the pigment Landscape Green, then you will most likely enjoy Sassy Grass. It is a hair lighter and has a little more of a yellow tone to it than Landscape Green. As with most matte formulas, I had some difficulty blending it. SG looks incredible paired with Chrome Yellow and/or Lime. It seems like such an obvious color for MAC to create so I feel SG is long overdue.

Sassy Grass is a matte kelly green eyeshadow. for a matte, it's very pigmented. It applies very smooth, and can be blended for a subtle look, or built up for a dramatic look. This color is very long lasting (it stayed on without primer, and through 94 degree weather).
I use this as a liner to accent my hazel eyes. The color adds a nice unexpected punch to my eyeshadow look, but isn't overkill. This is a very unique shadow for my collection (Humid is more of a pine green in comparison, in case anyone was wondering).
I will repurchase for sure, and would recommend this to anyone who likes color, or wants to try color. :)
