So I have this color but have not been using it. After reading these reviews that mention this blush is great for contouring, I decided to try it that way. It really is gorgeous for sculpting! I also tried adding a pop of color to the apples of the cheeks and yes, Deep Throat does look pretty with it...but I also tried Bobbi Brown Blushed on the apples with Douceur as the contour and this combination was even prettier on me. I think this summer when I have a tan, the Deep Throat will be the better "pop" color but until then, I will pair NARS Douceur with Bobbi Brown Blushed. Very excited to wear this new combo to work next week!

I was searching for a nice, neutral and subtle blusher, that would also add a bit of contour.
I am NW15-NW20 and all the other recommended contour color such as Chanel Notorious or Nyx Taupe didnt seem to be seemless on my skin to me. They seemed too ashy somehow.
I was very happy to find Douceur which was supposed to do kinda both - add some color and sculpt a tiny little bit. I love the colour, its a light brown with a natural old pink to it that flatters very fair skintones.
I apply it on my cheeckbone and also a bit below and it looks amazing, it creates a natural shadow under the cheekbone and brings forward the apples of the cheeks.
I wear it often just like that, but when i really want to look put together i would add a bit of Deep Throat only on the apples of the cheeks. Creates a very nice subtle natural and healthy look.

I love this blush. It's my most reached for blush out of the 100+ blushes I own.

I love the fact that it's easy to apply especially for when I am applying my make up on the move - it is hard to overdo and gives an amazing natural look. If you want a gorgeous everyday natural look this is the blush for you.

If I had to pick one blush for the rest of my life it would be this as you can dress it up and down. I have NC15 skin and it gives a healthy glow.

I always apply Urban Decays Dew Me over it and it lasts all day long.

After a lots of research by googling and swatches I ordered this online. This time no dice./ Expected a nice neutralish pinky-brown blush to use with smokey eye or strong lip look. It looks as boring in the pan as it does on cheeks. I`m fair but colour payoff is very poor. Hardly get it to show and lasting power is poorer than in Nars in general. I wonder if it`s a common problem with Nars blushes since I never get an over-application with Exhibit A either ( stippling, fluffy brush ).
For " neutral " or brownish blushes f.e. Mac Prism, Benefit Dallas, Lancome Brun Roche, Arden Sunblush, Blasco Warm Cocoa ( deeper ) are my go-tos.Tbh I like my Illamasqua blushes more now. Currently using Nars SG Mont Blanc.

Love, love, love Douceur!! I ordered this blush without seeing it in person from Sephora. When the box arrived, I opened it my kitchen with its fluorescent lights and my first thoughts were YUCK! It looked muddy brown like the dust my husband tracks in on his boots. I was thinking that this one was going straight back to Sephora. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try first. Gorgeous! It certainly doesn't look muddy on my skin. Unlike their other colors, it's a pretty sheer blush for Nars, I find that I need lot more to get the desired amount of color on my cheeks, but at least I don't have to worry about over-doing it with one swipe like my Sin blush from Nars. It is a great contour color and looks better IMO to use than my Too Faced bronzer with a light hand. This is the only Nars blush that I'm seeing a dent in so far because it takes more to show up. I've never encountered this color in another line. I'll definately re-purchase when I'm done.

I find that the pink/mauve undertones in Douceur create a more natural-looking contour than matte bronzers I have tried (Benefit Hoola and Too Faced Chocolate Soleil). The colour starts off sheer but builds easily so application is basically foolproof. It is also very blendable.

I use a MAC 168 angled brush to apply Douceur under my cheekbones, under my jaw, and into my hairline. It lasts for the better part of the day before starting to fade and never gets patchy.

I highly recommend trying out this product if you have found that other contouring shades are too harsh or orange-y.

This is more of a contour shade than a blush to me. But boy is it great for faking razor-sharp cheekbones. I apply this along the hollows of my face with the NARS ITA #21 brush and blend upwards and toward my temples. Then I pop a bit of a brighter blush, i.e. Orgasm, on the apples of my cheeks. I am in love with the look. I would also wear this alone for a more subtle, natural definition. It immediately adds dimension to my face.

Once again Nars has made a blush that is interesting and very good. I love this on my NC25 skin. It is the most unusual of all blushes. I can tell you that the effect of this pink-brown color is as if you had first applied a bronzer, then a pop of pink on top. How can one product in one pan do that? I have no idea, but it is truel

A lovely soft 'daytime' colour that is impossible to overdo yet warms up and sculpts the face in the most flattering way. I did my daughter's makeup a couple of days ago, and really saw how subtle and beautiful this is; easily blendable and forgiving.
This would be a perfect blush for the newbies...which includes me as I went decades hating blush!

This is the first blush that I've completely used up and repurchased. I have fair, irish skin with freckles and ruddiness, so blush is not something I have worn regularly in the past. Even when I tone everything down with foundation, my dark, warm brown hair and blue eyes are so high contrast that a lot of blushes just seem to lean too cool or too warm and take the look over the top. Not the case with Douceur -- it's absolute perfection -- wearable, pinky-brown perfection.

As to similar colors, at first glance it seems like there are a lot, however, they all apply just a tad differently. I used to use Benefit's Dallas and while it's similar, Dallas reads a little bit redder on my skin and is very easy to overdo. It's also softer, more powdery and once it's on, there's no blending it out if you used too much. Douceur, in contrast is definitely more sheer, but also more forgiving. There is a tiny bit of scattered gold shimmer in Dallas that I can see in sunlight, while Douceur has a very subtle pink micro-shimmer that is undetectable on the face even upon close inspection under sunlight. It's not because the shimmer falls off the brush -- it's too tiny for that -- it's because this is more of a satin finish that mimics the glow of healthy skin once applied. I've also used Tarte Exposed and Josie Maran Fever, which are similar, but more pink, so not as flattering on my skin and not as versatile. The closest comparison I've found is Too Faced Mocha Mi Amore, but it's a bit lighter and lacking that pink reflect I see in Douceur that gives it such a realistic finish.

Most days I wear Douceur by itself, but it goes well with other blushes if you want to pair it with a brighter color on the apple. I'm not usually looking for more color, so I sometimes use a little Becca beach tint in Fig on the upper part of my cheek for more glow with Douceur layered on the lower part for definition. Before Douceur came along, I sometimes used Dallas and Mocha Mi Amore as winter bronzers, but Douceur is just as good for that purpose as it gives a believable glow to fair skin without making it look sunburned or sparkly. So, despite the price, I continue to go back to Douceur for its skin-like finish and its foolproof texture. I've always wondered why everybody made such a fuss over Nars blushes -- now I know!

I was looking for a brown/pink blush for a while. Tried so many, finally found my holly grail: Douceur. It looks perfect on my skin, exactly what I was looking for. I wish I had found it sooner, before I bought my Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed. Don't get me wrong, I like Exposed, but Douceur is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect shade, not too brown, not too pink, with enough pigmentation. Beautiful.

I like Douceur, but I don't reach for it all the time as I like a bit of fresh colour in my cheeks and this is definitely a neutral. A pinkish brown with very subtle shimmer, when applied lightly it adds a nice natural tone to the cheeks. It's great for wearing with a very strong eye or red lip as it doesn't distract from the look or make you look overdone.

As with all NARS blushes it's very pigmented, it needs a light hand or it will look muddy. I'm very pale and cool toned and as long as I apply lightly it doesn't turn muddy on me. Great for an everyday look, and works well as a contour.

I looked forward to getting this for a while, then got it and didn't use it because I thought it might not work on me. It didn't. It looked muddy no matter how much or little I applied, and did nothing for my complexion. I was very disappointed. Now I'm back to my old reliable BB Slopes, which does subtly perk up my face.

Nars Douceur is one of my most used blushes. The colour is a pinkish brown and has a satin finish with subtle sparkles. It wears well through out the day. Since I have very fair skin I only lightly tap my brush into this blush, so I'd say the pigmintation is fairly good. Then again I have to do this with all blushes heh. Sometimes I also use it as a contour colour and it works well for that. I'm not too fond of nars blush packaging though. The black packaging picks up powders and shows scratches easily, so it looks like a bit of a mess. Other than the packaging (and the expensive price tag), it is a very pretty blush that I would definitely repurchase if I ever hit pan.

This is one of my favorite blushes I own! it is a beautifully dusty rose light brown color and looks great on my light medium complexion. I like how it gives me a subtle natural flush and it lasts a long time throughout the day.

UPDATE: the more I use this gem, the more I love it. So glad I got it.

I finally caved in and got myself this blush. And I am so glad I did. On me (light, yellow undertones) this shows a lovely, soft, light rosy brown. Very natural. Today I didn't want to bother with a full face MU - I'm going to the gym this evening so I will take it off, first, anyway - so I just smudged on a bit of eyeliner, put on some foundation, and this blush. I LOVE it. It's great for a light MU day, or to pair it with intense eyes/lips. I've been looking for this sort of color for ever. I don't understand all the hysteria about the package. If it gets dirty and it bothers you, just swipe a cotton square with a bit of alcohol on it and problem gone (and for goodness sake, don't tell me that would set your whole day's schedule back, rolleyes).

This is my HG blush. It's a muted light brownish mauve and it looks slightly shimmery in the pan but it goes on matte and it's impossible to overdo it. It builds up nicely. Cons: It is expensive and it does fade before end of the day. Even with primer, it looks like it's gone after about 5 hours. As always, another con is the fingerprint magnet packaging.

UPDATE- This fades after 3- 5 hours on me. I won't be repurchasing,although it's a beautiful color!

Just bought this blush yesterday and I am in love! Women of Color don't be afraid to give this blush a try just because it "seems" like it won't show up on us trust me it will! I am NC45 in Mac and when I first applied this it gave a subtle natural look that I have been looking for in a blush. With another layer it made it more intense and gave off a rosy look on my skin. I own just about every Nars blush and was looking for one that didn't have shimmer and could be one that I could automatically grab everyday and knew it would complete my look easily. This is that blush. I would definitely repurchase again and I advise everyone to give this a try!

A surprise HG! I've been experimenting with NARS blushes lately and arranged to get this though a swap thinking "hmmm... I don't think I'm gonna like this colour... oh well, I can always put it back up for swaps." But boy was I wrong!

In the pan, this appears to be a dull browny-plum colour, but on my NC15 skin it translates to the most amazing dusky rose (a real English rose colour... think Mary from Downton Abbey). It gives my face amazing definition, but I wouldn't call this a contour colour at all like some previous reviewers. No, this definitely falls into the category of a sculpting blush for me.

This is amazing alone, but if I feel like adding a real glow to the English rose look, I add a light dusting of MAC's Hang Loose over the top. This makes the whole look really pop and makes me look radiant and finished.

Texture is so finely milled that the colour looks as though it is coming from within. Wear time is incredible. Pigmentation certainly packs a punch. Packaging is amazing- I don't get why so many people dislike NARS packaging so much, I think it's sturdy and chic.

I will repurchase if I ever run out. I'm not sure if I could live without it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! My new HG blush! It looks so nice on my skin. I used it for Halloween and we were taking a lot of pictures and once I saw the pictures, the blush looked so nice!! I give a very natural flush with a nice color to my NW35 skintone. Although this isn't the most pigmented blush from NARS, that is why I love it! That way it is easily buildable.
