It is a good powder foundation. It is very smooth and silky and it is not cakey at all on your face no matter how dry your skin is. The coverage is fairly light so I only wear it when I don't feel like heavy makeup or use it as a retouch. The sponge supplied is not good at all so using a brush will give you a much better finish. The only downside is, the compact dries out very quick, I used it for about 5 months and with no dropping or anything the whold compact just fell into pieces. So at the end, I grounded all of the pieces and use it as a loose powder.

One of the best powder foundations I have used. My only issue is that I can't find a perfect color match. I use it in 04, which is close enough, however, its a little on the yellow side (I find the majority of their colors are a little yellow). It's almost perfect, but not quite. It goes on smooth, sinks into my skin immediately, and lasts all day. I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and even in the summer this will last 6 or so hours before I need to use any blotting paper. I use this over a moisturized and primed face, and generally use it wet (kabuki brush with evian mineral water spritz). I like full coverage, and this can provide that, however, if you prefer something more sheer that can be achieved as well. Of all the powder foundations I have used this is one of the top two (neck in neck with dolce and gabbana powder foundation). The packaging is ok, not great, but not bad either. I plan to continue to purchase.

This was the first powder foundation i have ever purchased, because i have scars to cover up so i usually go for medium to full coverage foundations. I recently came to the realization that it is okay for skin to show through makeup so i opted for this compact at the GA counter. My opinion might short-sighted lol
The color i got was in 6 The color was not totally right was slightly pink (my skin has absolutely no pink in it.. if possible lol) I piled that powder on so the color was saturated
The powder glides on face (with the sponge it comes with) Initially face looks smooth. My hyperpigmentation scars showed through, so with clean shadow brush picked up some powder and spot corrected (not smart haha) Has that pretty 'powdery veil' look.
With in an hour i get oily, just a fact of my life lol
The powder sinked into my skin, looked like i was wearing a light cream foundation EXCEPT on the spots where i corrected hahahaa the spots looked like greyish/dark yellow splotches on my face!
I treated the powder like it was a cream foundation (not its proper function). I gave it another shot, i applied two EVEN coats with hyperpigmentaion slightly showing through. after it sank in. i got coplemented by more than one person "wow ur skin looks waaay better. What hav u done?" They did not realize i had on makeup. It was initially a bruise to my ego but then i looked at it a different way "Hell, i had on makeup that doznt look at all like im wherering something"
It is pricey for most people, but in reality by comparing it to other designer makeup its priced fairly

This is an HG product for me. Shade 3.5 is a very good match for my light Asian complexion. It doesn't look powdery, sink into pores or break me out. For a powder, it does a good job of hiding the red patches on my skin. Also does a decent job of oil control. Even though the price is outrageous, I'll buy it again.

I have bought this powder specially for the summer time, as I do not want to look cakey and powder works better for me when temperatures are hight. Also it has high sun protection, which is great. Texture is so silky and blends like heaven. Coverage is light to medium, depending on the amount of product you use (less coverage compared to Mac studio fix, however, this one has not broke me out while Studio fix irritated my skin sooo much). Price is quite high, but I will repurchase anyway as it is worth it. Color range could be improved (colors are great but not enough to fit many skin tones), that is why I have given 4 lippies.

I love this powder. Its very silky and finely milled. I had actually bought the T. LeClerc famed powder first at Barney's. And then I looked at it, and it just looked like really my face was covered with powder. Its supposed to be invisible. I returned the T. LeClerc, and discovered the armani powder, very silky and light but gives some coverage. And it doesn't look like your wearing makeup just looks like nice flawless skin!!

Very nice, long-lasting , medium-coverage powder, however the shades are too limited. 3 was too pink and 3.5 is too dark for my pale yellow skin. I noticed the darker shades seemed limited too. New shades would make this excellent. The Holt Renfrew rep in Toronto insisted it was oil-free- I was devasted after spending so much to learn that it contains hydrogenated palm oil. Surprisingly, though, it doesn't break out my extremely sensitive skin. Phew! If the shades were more extensive, I'd give this a 5.I love the UV protection, look, and ease of use. Hope Armani listens, as this seems to be a common complaint! UPDATE: Sadly, this ended up breaking me out. Hydrogenated palm oil is considered moderately comedogenic. Shame on the SA who sold it to me as oil-free. For sensitive skin, maybe ask to test it out for a day if you can.

This is the best powder I have ever tried. Looks natural, goes on smooth, and doesn't feel cakey, but covers really well!! I use this on my lazy days or days off because I apply it so quickly with the sponge. The only downside, which isn't a downside for me (since I found a perfect colour match), is that the colour range is horrible!! I wear the 'lightest' shade which is 3.5 I think? But 4 was this light light yellow, lighter than the one I have.. It's strange, you have about 4 yellow pale shades, 1 pinky yellow shade, and a tan one... Not much variety!

Sometimes i use this to lightly set my foundation and concealer when i want a really flawless look, or i use it on its own if I have a day off/just running around doing errands etc.Either way is great. Over the top of my usual HG foundation LM silk creme, it gives me a perfect movie star flawless beautiful look, on its own its more natural but either way it gives me great skin (which i dont have naturally! I have some redness and uneven skin tone!) and a beautiful light radiant glow. I am around nc32-35ish and use shade 6- its a beige-y shade and not orange at all, or overly yellow like MAC foundations/powders are (NC30 is too dark and yellow on me in mac!!! yet i use the darkest foundation in LM silk creme!! MAC just doesnt work on me at all!)

Like the previous reviews stated, the color scheme on this product is confusing. I know my shades in GA's LS (#4) and after reading many reviews on the internet, I got this in #3.5 during the FF sale. I have high hopes for this product because everyone seems to be raving about GA foundations. The #3.5 turned out ok on my fair skin (for reference, I use #2 in most of Guerlain's liquid foundations, I10 for CdP but O10 looks more natural), sometimes a bit too white depending on how many layers I put on.

Recently I gave away my Guerlain Meteorites compact so I used this to set my foundation and daily touch ups. I wear it over Guerlain's Parure Gold foundation. In the late afternoon my chin was super oily, and by night my forehead (the area between two eyebrows) had almost no foundation on. In the beginning I thought it was because the Gold foundation doesn't advertise lasting power, but today I decided to experiment with another Guerlain compact. I barely needed to blot and and the foundation stay put, even in the areas where my glasses stand. Not sure if it's because I use the liquid and powder from the same company, but this is a bit of a disappointment.

And the powder really makes the (initially) black and sleep compact ugly....the sponge is mediocre compared to Guerlain's...I don't think I will be buying any more foundation from GA. I am not sure if it's just bad luck or the GA base makeup that I tried are not suitable for me? I tried FF a couple weeks ago and my face got soooooooo oily it was horrible. And it was winter time and everyone was telling me my skin is dry. Unless you have the chance to try it out with a sample or live in a place with good return policy, I will recommend trying out GA's point makeup with more ease. They are pretty amazing.

This is the best powder compact I've ever used. I usually use the included sponge to apply it, occasionally a brush. It's ultra-soft and silky, yet substantial, and it has amazing staying power on the skin. It's almost as though I'm applying a new layer of skin, one that has no pores! Huge bonuses for me: (1) I have extremely oily skin, and this stuff controls the oil and shine all day (I still have to blot with blotting papers, just not as often; if I didn't blot at all, the shine would be minimal), and (2) it has significant UV protection! It's ridiculously expensive, but I might have to concede that this stuff is worth the price.

The best compact I have ever used! I'm very oily, tans easily and makeup always oxidizes on me (MAC, Paul and Joe, SKII). Tried this after a friend posted about this as the best powder ever but I have to wait till my next trip abroad since this is not available in our country. Powder is finely milled, really silky and has great oil control even on a very hot and humid day. If I want light coverage I just use it as is and if I want medium coverage I just lightly spray the sponge with avene thermal water. My skin looks radiant, my pores became non existent and evened out my complexion. I didn't break out (and I have super sensitive skin) and the bestest part is that it never oxidizes on me. If used with damp sponge it also has great staying power. It's a bit on the expensive side but totally worth it. Can't wait to try the liquid foundation.

This is the silkiest 2-way cake I've ever used. I've always been a fan of Armani foundations; Face Fabric, Luminous Silk Powder, and now Lasting Silk UV Compact. I apply this with my Chantecaille blush brush right over my sunscreen, and it looks flawless. The Armani SAs are super nice. The SA took the time to remove all my makeup, test two different colours, actually step with me outside to check the colour in daylight, and asked two other SAs which colour looked best. I bought colour 3.5. For reference I am 4 in LSP, 2 in FF.

I feel torn on this product.... While the product itself is good, long lasting water resistant powder foundation with SPF 34, the colors are all wrong!!! Armani has done this before with other formulations - instead of staying with similar color schemes of their current foundations, which receive rave reviews, they decide to make new shades and offer less color choices. Bad news for us consumers.

My complexion is fair and the lightest shade is 3. Shade 3 is really peach looking - almost like a light blush! Then there is 3.5, which is waay too yellow, and color 4 is a beigish orange. Color 5 is a nice beige for a tanned medium complexion, but too dark for my skin. I *hear* they may come out with lighter colors maybe 2 and/or 2.5 so guess I'll wait to see. The product itself is lovely - very soft milled powder which truly is long lasting. They just need to manufacture colors that consumers want and use. Similar to the UV liquid foundation SPF 20 would be ideal!! I hope you're reading Armani :)

Armani has done it again with a great natural looking foundation! Normally I don't go for powder foundations but I love this one. In the winter my skin is very dry and I don't this would work as well. However, in the heat & humidity of an NYC summer - this is perfect. I dampen a powder brush and use that to apply this silky powder. If you want more coverage you can apply with a sponge. It gives a radiant natural finish that seems to minimize pores and hold back shine a bit. (Not sure how you would like this if you're super oily).
I bought this in #3 (I'm #5 in the LSF) and it's a great match. In the store #3 looked pinkish but in natural light it looks neutral.
