I love this!!!
I don't understand the negativity...this is a unique product not just for your lips but entire mouth area. It hydrates the skin around your lips without making you break out. It is like a mouth/lip cream that isn't thick or gloopy. I found this special product a pampering treat that I use morning and night after washing my face.

The packaging is nice but thats all... Very disappointed. Very vaseline-ish constancy.

i don't find the pot unsanitary, since i use a special lip brush to apply it on my lips. The real issue is that i can't see any difference/improvement at all! As someone already said, if anything it makes my lips more dry.. So weird, since its chanel! They usually tend to rule at everything they do! I am still trying to convince myself and keep reapplying every 2 hours to see if i might get anything :(

I had high hopes for this. This is clear reminder to me that price doesn't equal quality. While the packaging is luxe (well except for the unsanitariness of a tub) the product disappoints. It feels great the first few minutes but then it quickly wears off leaving my lips dry. I feel like a bit of dummy paying this much for such a sucky product. Chapstick works better. I was hoping this would be my HG buy for now I will stick to Lanolin at nights and MAC lip conditioner in the day time. Like someone else wrote, I think I will reuse the container and decant some other product into it when this is done.

Thought that this would be an investment product. I was wrong and at £20+ for a nice-looking pot of lip balm that doesn't work, consider it a lesson learnt. It felt alright for the first 20mins.. but I think having to apply it every 20 minutes is excessive.

when you first apply this on your lips it works and lasts me maybe two hours at the most, my lips are already dry. Not too happy with this product.

This Chanel lip care is just ok. It's very expensive and majority of the time it wears off before I've even started my day. I thought this would be a fav, but I'm still in search of a good lip treatment.

I wish I could give this 3.5 lippies. This is a nice balm to use as a lipstick base but it isn't very rich or healing. It is a nice balm for maintenance but not for repair.

The pros:
-it doesn't really have a taste or a smell- there is a slight "moisturizer" smell but it fades very quickly.
-it doesn't ball up under or over other products
-i find it quite matte
-it doesn't spread past your lips
-i only use a little at a time
-if you don't have a problem with pots, the pot is cute and "looks" expensive.

The cons:
-this is a very light balm. this did not help me with major dryness. this is a balm that will help you "maintain" normal but not get to normal IME.
-i think this would have worked better as a lip cream in a tube, kind of like decleor, which is a similar consistency (matte, light). If you don't like pots for hygiene reasons...
-Considering it is like the decleor, i find the price expensive for what it is, buy decleor if you want a light, matte balm. In the same price range, La Mer or Sisley are much better balms if you are looking for something rich or long-lasting.

I did mark yes on the rebuy because this is not a bad product that gave me an allergic reaction or something, it is just that I prefer heavier balms, especially at this price point. if you have the money to burn or like lighter balms, it is worth a try. I'm going to use the rest of this pot for in the mornings before i put my lipstick on.

LOVE the packaging, so much so that when it runs out i'm going to empty my HG mac lip conditioner tub into it so i can have the luxury packaging of the chanel and the effectivness of a great lipbalm for a third of the cost yet still a premium brand

i had a voucher for debenhams and i needed lip balm, so lip balm i got, it's a nice lip balm, rosey scented, gives a lovely sheen hhowever hydrating? i'd say not very much, macs lip conditioner smells nicer, feels nicer is MUCH more hydrating and has much better ingredients, costs a lot less too.

if you love chanel skincare im sure you'll love this however personally i think chanel cosmetics are a bit overhyped based on their fabulous clothes.

I don't like this product. It is expensive and doesn't hydratate my lips. The only thing I like in this produkt is that it makes my lips glossy like I have a lipgloss.

I'm a huge fan of Chanel products. I love their nail polish, lip gloss, and especially their fashion accessories. This product was disappointing and overpriced. I'm not sure what is so special about it...it felt nice when my lips were dry and needed some moisture but now that they're normal (from religious application of balm and using lip polish), I feel like this product does nothing special to keep my lips hydrated. If anything, I feel like after a few minutes it dries on my lips and makes them even more dry...

The scent is pleasant but irritates my throat if I ingest any by accident (just licking my lips does the trick). The pot is kind of unsanitary and while the packaging screams Chanel and is luxurious, it's also bulky and inconvenient.

There are similar lip balms out there for a much lower price. There is a lot of product and will probably last a very long time, but I definitely will not repurchase in the future and save the $$ for something else Chanel!

It did not moisturize my lips when I needed it the most (on a plane). It has an oily texture and I feel like I just lick it off or it evaporates because after about ten minutes it's gone and I have to reapply it. But I said that I would repurchase only because it is the best primer for Chanel Rouge Coco lipsticks (I cannot wear them on their own or over another balm because they dry out), with it underneath Rouge Coco my lips feel nice and hydrated. So from now on it will be the only way that I will use it unless I find a lipstick that does not require a special balm underneath and still works great
Update: Will not repurchase because Chanel's Rouge Allure does not require anything underneath and works wonderful

i have a very dry lips and this is the only product that really moisturize my lips so far. i have used so many different lip balms or lip treatments but nothing works this well, and it feels so smooth and moist on my lips. the things that i don't like, the packaging because i have to sanitize my hand every time i apply it, otherwise the product will be full of germs and stuff, and it's very pricey. I will repurchase this again because of the quality, but of course i have to save much money for it.

I suffer from dry lips...I've used so many different brans. This is only meh. Its not very moisturising, I like lip treatments to be thicker (if that makes sense) Its smells nice though, but not fit for purpose. The SA told me it was best for dry lips...NOT

I love the way this makes my lips feel, as it is soft and incredible. I just can't justify spending as much as I did on it though. There are many lip balms from prestigious brands that I feel do a very good job for a fraction of the price.

I just got this. It feels, smells and is amazing. Such a luxury! I am not keep in lip pots. I don't like getting my fingers greasy and I'm sort of a germ-a-phobe, but I can see that they can't really do this in a tube form. The woman tells me that one pot will last forever so yes its expensive but a little goes a long way. I used it like a base under lipstick. I could see also using it w/ liner as a fill in or on its own. I'm glad I found this. I think its just for moisturizing. I suspect I will buy it again but they'll probably come out w/ something else by the time I finish this pot!

I decided to splurge on this product after rave reviews from blogs and other various sources. I found this to be ineffective at hydrating my dry lips. My lips are very sensitive and have a tendency to peel from lipsticks and lipglosses. (I've found that MAC lipsticks and YSL are the biggest culprits) I was hoping for something that would deeply hydrate as well as soothe. This product did not fit the bill. My lips are still very very dry after 3 days of intense application and they are still flaky and peeling. I also felt that the lip balm did not sink into my lips but rather just sat on top, looking very much like a gloss. Anyways, long story short, this product is going back. I think I'll be picking up a foundation or something instead.
