Have used many self tanners. Was not expecting much but, I love it. The smell is tropical. Very easy to apply. Goes on even. Great natural color, not orange. Two thumbs up!

I was curious about self tanners so I decided to buy this for my first time, I definetly liked the shimmer that was included, but I realized it doesn't really provide much colour, theres not much of a difference from applying just a coat. This also left a bit of streaking but maybe that's just me since im a beginner on self-tanners, I won't be repurchasing this next time and I will look for self-tanners that provide darker results

I bought this product due to all the good reviews here. I do like it, but it's not perfect. The first time, I applied one layer and was great! Didn't make me look like I had a weird skin issue as it faded, however, the second time I tried it, I used two layers and it didn't fade like a natural tan :( It does last for several days and fades slowly and natural looking with just one layer for me. Worth giving it a try :)

I bought this product based on two things, all the good reviews and it was fairly inexpensive. This product does nothing for me. I put two layers of it on my arms and they look exactly the same today as they did last night when I applied it. The lotion smells nice and it's easy to blend but with no color pay off it's pretty much worthless. I will not re-purchase this.

this doesn't really work for me. I barely get any color.. or any at all.. it's kind of like regular lotion. Many many much better self tanners out there.

This is the BEST self tanner!!! I've tried most out there and this by far is the BEST!! Not sure why (ingredents seem the same as others) it is so much better. It does have a very slight tanner odor, but not horrid like most. This is so natural and lasts for days. I find it looks best with one application. If you are looking for scentless self tanners that are very good (not great like this one) try Garden of Wisdom (lotion) or Silk Naturals (Gel).

This year I decided to try a self tanner for the very first time in my life. I am very pale and I burn easily and I never wanted to apply a tanner before because I was afraid it would make me look unnatural/orange/etc. After doing some searching, I read about this product here and decided to go to Victoria's Secret and buy it for myself and try it out. After showering and exfoliating, I used a pair of latex gloves and applied this to my arms and torso. Needless to say, it was so easy to apply and it blended beautifully.

My boyfriend even helped me do my back and it turned out beautifully as well which to me shows that it's somewhat goof-proof! The smell is not bad at all and it dries pretty quickly. It left me slightly bronzed without being too dark but more can always be added for a darker effect! I'm glad I found this product :)

Best tanner I have ever used! I will ALWAYS use this tanner. I was about to get the St. Tropez in Sephora and I couldn't swallow the $30 price tag, so I was walking around and went into VS. It is tinted so you can see where you have applied. It gave my very pale skin a light toasty look. Not orange at all. I exfoliate first & use the St. Tropez mitt ($6). Very natural! The smell is great, not nearly as bad as most. For $12 VS has won me over. I also like the tinted lotion in conjunction with the tanner. It gives a nice tanned glow to my nice toasty skin!

This is the best self tanner I have used!!!

#1 It does not smell bad.
#2 It is tinted, so it is easier to see that it is blended and even.
#3 I have very fair skin and it made me nice and light bronze
#4 It is easier to rub in and dries faster than ones like Neutrogena Build a Tan which left me really streaky and uneven, there is something about the more lotiony ones I have a problem working with, even with exfoliation. I can't get them to absorb evenly, I think I am too oily.

The only down side is it does have shimmer, which I don't think is a problem because I will not be putting in all over and then going out ( I do it at bed time), however on some occasions putting it on your legs or arms might be nice for going out.

Seriously Try It!

This is hands down one of the BEST sunless tanners I have ever purchased. It is almost at HG status for me. I am pretty pale and don't tan terribly easy, and this stuff definitely makes me look like I've spent a day or two at the beach. It has an instant bronze tint to it which is nice so you can apply it evenly.. or if you're wanting to look bronze instantly with a pair of shorts. It doesn't have the typical overpowering sunless tanner odor that most have. I just notice it slightly as the color is developing. It will transfer to clothes or sheets if you don't let it dry long enough, but that really wasn't a problem for me. Some of the color transferred to my boyfriend's shorts while sitting on the couch (basically right after I applied it) and I just threw them in the washer and the stains were gone. Definitely will be stocking up on this for the summer. I've used everything from drug store brands to Bare Escentual's Faux Tan and this is the best I've used thus far!

Basically the most amazing self tanner I've ever used. I've used many a drugstore brand and always turned out patchy, streaky, and orange. This is so much better! I've been using this for about a week now and LOVE my color. I've been putting it on about every other night. I even got asked if I went to the tanning bed! It's easy to apply, and easily washes off the palms of your hands too, so they don't look like an odd color. It hasn't stained any of my clothes or my sheets either, and at $12 it's a great deal. I'll be buying this product as long as they carry it (and I might even buy some backups in case they stop)!

Love love LOVE this stuff. I have used about five different self-tanners in the last year (from high end to drugstore) and this one is by far the best. I haven't used it on my face yet, just on my body but WOW. I never exfoliate before putting self-tanners on (mostly because I don't notice a difference when I do) and this stuff never applies streakily and it fades like a natural tan, no weird patches of orange skin. I even love the smell of it but I'm not picky when it comes to self-tanner scents, I even tolerate the ''typical'' one that everybody else seems to hate. I love the fact that you can see the effect immediately, that way it is easier to apply evenly because you know where you've already put the product. It sells for 12 dollars in VS stores but I believe you can get it for 8 (with the three beach products for 24 dollars deal). Already bought a back-up, will repurchase as long as they make it.

I picked this up at the Semi-Annual Sale half price.
First of all, I'd like to say that I would not have purchased this if it was not half price (not that $12 is expensive) for a few reasons: 1) I've been "tanning bed/sun bathing" sober for about a year now, and I've been embracing my soft, pale skin, so I wasn't interested in being tan; 2) I USED TO BE the kind of person who thought that self-tanners were for oompa loompas and people who turn to lobsters when they tan, and I would have rather damage my skin to look hot than look fake-orangey; 3) When I do use self-tanner, I don't like to risk looking bad, so I buy the expensive stuff, like Clarins Delectable Self-Tanning Mousse (which gives excellent result, btw); 4) The only other cheaper self-tanner I've ever used in my life is the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze, and it gave me okay color, but it look FOREVER to dry and it still rubbed off on my sheets and even the clothes I wore the next day (looking good = huge hassell with that stuff).

With all that being said, paying $6 wouldn't have upset me too much if it turned out bad. Well, let's just say with one use, this stuff has kinda changed my mind about self-tanners. I applied it after I got home from purchasing it (exfoliated first) on my arms and legs, let it dry, then a few hours before bed I applied it again and included my chest and neck. When I woke up this morning, I was an impressive tan color. It has the slightest orange hue to it, but it's definitely not oompa loompa orange. Also, when I sun bathe outside in the summer, my skin tone turns more bronze than straight-up brown/dark tan, so this stuff makes me look like I spent a week at the beach. I like that it is tinted so I can see where I have applied already. It also "dries" pretty quickly (about 10-15 minutes); "dries" means the color won't rub off easily on an old t-shirt and some sweats (wouldn't ever recommend putting normal clothes on after any self-tanner until about an hour afterward), the lotion itself is still a little bit moist on skin. I LOVE how it didn't transfer onto my sheets last night! I am noticing a little bit of dryness on my arms and legs, but it's winter time now, and it's nothing some moisturizer can't fix.

Overall, this stuff doesn't compare to the results I'd get from tanning in a bed. But at the risk of developing skin cancer or *gulp* melanoma, this VS Instant Bronze lotion with tint is an excellent, cheaper alternative. Perhaps once my Clarins stuff runs out, this stuff will take its place as my go-to tan in a bottle!

Love this stuff! It doesnt smell too strongly of self tanner. It dries faster than most store brands (like L'Oreal and Jergens). It's the least steaky of all the self tanners Ive ever used and it doesnt turn me orange :)

This is the third self-tanner I've ever bought, and we have a winner! Jergens turned me a weird color when it worked at all, and L'Oreal Sublime Bronze just plain did nothing. I picked this up on a whim with a gift card to VS, and I'm so glad I did!

I get really pale in the winter but I do tan in the summer, and this turned me the most gorgeous tan color! The first time I applied it, after exfoliating, I just rubbed it all over, with a little more on my upper thighs where I have a really stubborn shorts tan line. Right away it was a pretty bronze color, with slight shimmers. It look scary shimmery when it comes out, but it's barely noticeable on the skin. Also put a bit on my face, even though I'm acne-prone. After about 5 minutes it was dry enough to get dressed, but it did feel a little sticky for a while, especially in the humidity. The smell is definitely self-tanner-y, but it's not bad and smells sort of beachy.

Next morning, I woke up and showered, and was left a pretty bronze color, minus the sparkles. After my shower I applied again. Now I'm darker, but not orangey and very natural! Plus, absolutely no breakouts so far! My face actually feels soft and smoother than usual, and the color lets me wear less makeup. I'm in love. And the price, at $12, is only a few dollars more than drugstore tanners, with way better results. There's a good amount in the tube, I'd say at least 5 generous full-body applications worth. I will definitely be stocking up on this for winter so I don't get scary pale like I usually do. Totally satisfied!
EDIT: The second coat left me a little orange the next day :( But the orange wore off in about a day and left me a believable bronzey color. I'll stick to one layer next time.

Great product! It is hard to find a solid self-tanner that smells great, does not streak, and has a good color. This is especially difficult for girls with light, pale skin. As tanners tend to look orange. However this self-tanner provides a very natural looking color, and is so easy to apply. Highly recommended! Don't forget to exfoliate before hand.

Phenomenal product! I am completely useless at applying tanners, and I did it in one try with no streaks at all! I am as pale as you get, and so one application gave me significant colour change. After applying, the bronzer made me look quite dark, which was awesome, and once I showered, I was a very natural colour. Another huge plus - I have pale-pink sheets, and there was no transfer (I applied it at 7:30pm, and did not shower the bronzer off until morning). The 'offensive' tanning smell is minimal. I also love the packaging - the colours are tropical and pretty! There is quite a bit of sparkle (or 'shimmer') in it, but I don't think you'd really notice if you weren't looking for it. Will definitely re-purchase!

Love this self tanner! In the past I had tried gradual self tanners fro
L'Oreal and Jergens and this is far and away a superior product. The tint helped me apply evenly, the texture is lovely...like a moisturizing gel, and the faintly beachy fragrance gracefully masks the tell-tale self tanner smell. The tan is subtle, yet definitely makes a big enough difference that I will purchase another tube as soon as this one runs out.
Big, sparkly stars!

For $12 this is amazing. It has a tint so you can be sure you get even coverage. It adds an immediate bronze glow to your skin that develops into a natural, healthy looking tan after a few hours. That sunless tanner smell (you all know what I'm talkin about!) is definitely there but its much more subdued than many other self tanners I have tried. I had no streaking; I was actually surprised how natural it looked. This will not give you a dramatic tan but it will make you look like you just spent a day at the beach :) This lasted on my skin for about 3 days then I had to reapply. Also important to note, I used it on my face with no break outs to speak of. Definitely give this a try!
