I love this blush. It is the perfect pink, and probably suitable for any skin tone. Chanel never breaks me out. There was a lot of hype about this blush. They made a ton of money off of it. It is great for an everyday go to blush.

This is absolutely gorgeous. Chanel blushes are so coveted, and this made me realize why, after using MAC blushes for so many years. I love my MAC blushes, but the pigmentation in the Chanel's blushes really is incomparable.
It really is a pink explosion. It's very bright yet demure, and looks beautiful on my porcelain skin. I have soooo many blushes, yet I end up using this one more than not. My other blushes are lonely! This is the perfect bright pink. The brush that comes with it is useless, but other than that, it's perfect!

Such a beautiful blush! I have tried numerous blushes on the market, and none compare to this. The colour is lovely and pigmented - but does not make you look like a doll. It gives you a fresh faced, rosy cheek look. The colour suits me perfectly (I'm very pale, Mac NC15) and it gives a nice burst of healthy colour to my face. I tried other Chanel blushes which didn't suit my colour but this one really does fit.
The only thing I do not like is the brush that is provided within the compact. It really is quite impossible to blend the colour using it and get a even application but I guess it is okay for when you are on the go and are left with no brush! The mirror that is provided is really lovely and high quality.
I bought the blush last summer (in May) and it is now February and I still have a little bit of product left after using it every day. Definitely a good buy :)

I am absolutely loving this blush. You know how it is, when you first try something on, either it is gorgeous or it isn't. Then you begin the dance of talking yourself out of/into it because it is either trendy or on sale. Well, this blush was a home run right away. I tried it twice before I bought it, both times loving it while testing. Once I bought it, I bought the new Chanel blush brush as well and let me say, the combo does a perfect cheek every time. This is not pinky pinky doll pink, this is a natural flush look, not really cool toned at all, but fresh and happy. It cheers me every time I use it, which is every day. It has finally replaced my nars deep throat that I wore forever. Chanel blushes are fantastic, and this one is no exception. Worth the money - even the included brush is lovely, but I say spend the extra few bucks and get the Chanel blush brush with this!

I loved this shadow. It has a slight micro shimmer flecks in it, but it deposits a great soft pink color on me. I think it is soft and pretty and blended out, I have to be careful not to apply to much and I am MAC NW45 and this shows very nice..I do wish it was unscented.

So beautiful!! My fiance kindly let me buy this blush since I can't ever just "buy" premium makeup again (am having a baby next month so it'll be birthday/christmas/mothers day) and I am so glad I picked this up!! It is insanely pigmented, I attempted to apply it like I do any of my other blushes and had a huge blob of pigment on my skin, however, it blended out very easily. Normally I'm not huge on pink blushes, no reason other than they bore me but this I love. It looks alot more natural and so pretty when blended out, my skin looks very fresh. I have huge pores on my cheeks which I'm self concious of but this doesn't emphasize them even with shimmer. I said that I'd buy this again (even though it is a whopping £31) but I probably will not need to. A teeny dab is plenty on my NW20 skin.

For me, this one is just too dark -- looks very heavy and ruddy on my pale, yellow-undertoned NC20 skin. Has microshimmer that doesn't look too glittery. Can't stand the old-lady rose fragrance. No thanks.

This is a wonderful new member of my chanel joues contraste collection. I love pinks in general and I absolutely adore blue-based pinks (let me say 'hi' to Turbulent). This is a cool-toned pink which comes rather sheer when applied with light hand.
The obvious advantages are:
- long staying power
- nice and sophisticated pink color which look my natural blush
- right amount of shimmer and pearl
- fascinating design
- LE item (for me it means it was specially created)
Revealed advantages:
- goes well paired with bronzers
- gives summery look when applied on the naturally tanned skin
- gives a refreshing effect when used in a 'pale' wintry makeup
Disadvantages:
- strong fragrance
- the texture is a bit drying

My cousin gave me this in a gift along with many chanel/dior products, so I'm glad I didn't have to pay the price! It's pretty, subtly shimmering pink that looks cute...but honestly I can think of several drugstore brands I have which are very very similar if not exactly alike! Thus I wouldn't get it myself when this runs out...

When I bought Pro lumiere foundation earlier this year, the woman at the counter did my makeup for me and this was the blush she put on. I was instantly in love and received many compliments. I put it off for months because it was so much more expensive than other blushes, but I could never quite find one just as 'perfect' looking as I remembered this being. Needlessly said, I eventually bought it. It's a cool toned pink with very small particles of finely-milled glitter and smells of roses. It looks so beautiful in its pristine Chanel packaging and even more beautiful when on your cheeks. This is a very luxurious product and well worth the money if you can afford to dish it out.

I love this blush and use it every day even for work. Its not cheap but a little goes a long way and i bough mine in March its still brand new and looks like i have not use much of it. Give the cheeks a nice and natural in a very healthy look and lasts all day.

Okay, i caved in, i did. Just two weeks before this, i had brought home its sister Rose Petale which i loved dearly and hugged to sleep at night, and I thought all i needed was one Joues Contraste for the rest of my life, but no. This was calling out my name everytime i walked past the Chanel counter
As we all know JC blushes are very expensive and if we had to buy one we better be sure the color worked, so i was afraid of Pink Explosion because it seemed so cool and blue-based that it would never work out on my warm, warm NC30 skin. Hell! It looks like pure love and nothing of that bubblegummy pale pink i was half expecting. This went perfectly with my deep berry (cool-toned) red lipsticks. You know when you're doing a heavy eye/lip and you want to keep the complexion as clean and pristine as possible but still you can't go without blush if not your facial contours look all flat? Yes, this is what you need. Rose Petale does the same but is a tad warmer in comparision and in my opinion, goes well with anything or even nothing at all, but Pink Explosion in some strange and lovely chemistry adds further pizzazz to berry lips.

I love Pink Explosion! It's one of my favorite pinks. Lighter, less pigmented and cool-toned than Turbulent, Pink Explosion is still a fairly cool, blue-based pink. It seems to be loosely bound compared to other JC blushes I own -- my brush picks up a ton of product and leaves powder dust across the top of the blush -- so I have to be sure to use a lighter hand. On the cheeks, it imparts a fresh, glowing flush of pink. It is so pretty and natural looking, and I imagine it would work well for a range of different skin tones (for reference, my own is NW5-10, NARS Siberia / Bobbi Brown Alabaster). Love!
Lastly -- while I normally do not like fragrance of any kind in cosmetics or my skincare products, the rose scent honestly does not bother me -- I find it does not linger on the skin.

While I love the color which does wonders to my pale tired-suffering-from-lack-of-sleep face, I really HATE the smell. It's overpowering and it lingers for a very long time. Make sure it doesn't annoy you before you buy it. Yes, it's my first (and my last) Chanel blush if they all have similar scent.
I was a bit worried about the glitters in this blush but they don't show up on your face.
I love it but wouldn't buy it ever again because of the smell. Well, it's limitted edition anyway. I'll just stick to my Dior blushes which have no noticable scent to them.

I hate to drag the ratings down but this was only a mediocre quality blush. Don't get me wrong, the packaging is absolutely top quality with the sturdy black compact, built in mirror, velvet pouch, and included brush. The blush has a pleasant light rose scent which sets it apart from other brands, and like others have said this is a Limited Edition blue based pink that imparts a very natural flush. When I wear this, it looks like I just went out for a jog type of flush. However, this was not pigmented. I tried the enclosed brush but that barely picked up any product. I used my good ol' EcoTools blush brush and Posh blush brushes to no avail. The only brush that works with this is my MAC 129 but even then I have to squeeze the bristles together with my fingers and dig it into the blush to pick up any product. I'm not sure if this was a defective batch but the actual product is very hard in texture. This is one of my least used blushes which is unfortunate because it is very pricey ($45 CAD).
I can see how others would like this shade because it is very natural and flattering for fair skin types. However, I have medium tanned skin and yellow undertones so I need a lot of product for this to show on me. Also this does not have good staying power. I need to re-apply by midday.

A lovely, lovely blush. I definately am glad that I picked this up while it was available.
The packaging is above the quality of the standard CHANEL blush. The velvet pouch it comes with is a different, softer texture than the regular ones.
The blush itself is well pigmented and a gorgeous bright pink color with silver reflects. Blends well and will be lasting me a long time.

There is only one major downside to this blush and that is that it's limited edition.
I have very pale skin with slightly cool undertones, and the girls at the makeup counter often have a tendency to make me look like a clown so I was worried when she put it on that I would be glowing red, but when I looked in the mirror it was quite literally the perfect shade.
The only con I have to list is that it can get a bit orange after several hours and lots of oil, but that can happen to most blushes. Considering the price ($43??) I removed one star for that.
Only a thin layer or two is a perfectly subtle wash of pink, and it blends so nicely and easily. The included brush is amazing, soft and the perfect size, I use it for all of my blushes.

This is one of the few absolute failsafe blushes on my pale skin. In the pan it looks like a bright rose pink, but the first layer applied is always just a super soft natural rosy wash of color that can be build up to any intesity you need. Even with the most crappy brush the texture blends fabulously and with no effort, no hard edges ever. I was on the fence about buying it because of the few glittery silver particles, but they don't seem to appear once applied, it just sparkles in the pan. On the cheeks it gives a soft, pretty glow.
The rose scent is lovely and I've always liked the sleek black packaging. The price tag is hefty, but for the right product quality I'll happily pay. Overall I couldn't love this any more.

I have dozens and dozens of blushes - this is amongst my very favorite and a HG. It is better than past faves of mine including Shimmer Pink Pool, Desire, Angelika, and all the Bobbi Browns. LOVE THIS BLUSH NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT

Pink Explosion is a limited edition blush that came with the Fall 2010 collection. I wasn't supposed to buy it (money-/rationality-related) and still got it because it's too beautiful a colour to pass up on. And I didn't have a colour like that yet even though my blush collection spans MAC, Bobbi Brown, The Bodyshop, The Balm, NYX and others. In the pan it's almost a hot pink with very subtle shimmer. The most luxurious thing about this blush, however, is the scent. I don't know why Chanel bothers but they add a whole load of perfume to their blushes and this one smells divinely like roses. Like obviously. You open the box and whoosh, roses! I love it. The application isn't overly difficult, even though the blush is very pigmented. Two or three careful swipes across the pan will get both cheeks covered. The outcome is the most natural, prettiest wash of colour. Like "oh, one too many glasses of champagne". The colour is very flattering on my NC15 skin and adds a lovely glow. It doesn't come out as hot pink on the cheeks (thank god) but more like bright baby pink. It helps add radiance and I guess it would help brighten up darker skin tones as a natural-looking highlighter maybe. For us pale girls it's the best choice in a lovely looking, natural blush to work that snow-white look. Pink Explosion comes in the trademark black lacquer box complete with a small brush (that I don't use) and mirror. The box is small enough to not take up a lot of space when you travel. If it wasn't limited, I would definitely buy again and I'm glad I got it, all rationality issues aside :D
