I bought this in shade 640 In The Buff. First off, the tube would make you think this is a light baby pink, but it's actually a darker rosy berry colour which I actually really like.
But, the application is very patchy and it takes ages to get to a decent result. I can never really get the colour to be 100% even. And after all that effort, lasting power is close to inexistent!
Doesn't dry my lips out, so I added a lippie for that.

Miss these so much. :( they were better than revlon and covergirl versions. The trick was to dab a little on, & with a wet finger rub the color into your lips. I still use the ones I have and will cry when they're gone. Maybelline has dc'd so many good products in favor of gimmicks. So sad.

I think this is a pretty good product! The pen concept is great. I also like that the color just sinks into your lips and makes them look like they are naturally colored that way. The only problem I have is that when I bought the product I was expecting it to be much lighter and the cap had me thinking that way, but even still it's easier to wear a darker color when it's in a lipstain. If I buy this product again I'll just buy it in a lighter color. This was my first lipstain and I loved it.

Out of all lip tints, I find this product to be the best. Its wear is long lasting and the colour ranges are great, one for all occasions. Would definitely buy again for sure.
I'm not a fan of lipstick but without anything my lips are quite pale but this solves my problem. In can not be any happier with this product :)

I have this in 180 "wink of pink".
Flattering, pretty colour and smells of raspberries but useless formulation. Very drying ((I found it had to be used under a lip balm) and the pen itself ran out after 3 or 4 uses. Waste of money.
1 star for the shade and reasonable staying power, but it's just not good enough overall, so I will not be buying again.

the colours are lovely ( plum flushed) but there is not point in having lovely colour that refuses to come out. it stains beautifully but it is hard to apply and i think after my second day of having it it might just be finished... very worrying. i keep looking for a click to inject some kind moisture into the dry pen, i read somewhere that a child felt tip pen would be better... i agree.
The applicator is too hard and it should be flexible on the lips, its a lovely colour but i thik i could get the same result applying lipstick and just drying it out with tissue.

I have this in shy red. Its a nice colour but doesn't last long at all.. you really can't call it a lip stain. I'll use it up but won't buy it again.

This stuff is great! I got it in cherry pop and when I first put it on, I put it on both lips, but the color was way too much for me, so I took it off and did it again. I Put it on my bottom lip then dabbed my lips together and it looked way better than the first time. I also put a clear gloss over it and that made it even prettier. This color is great for my skin tone which is fairly light right now since it is winter. I will be buying this again whenever I run out! Oh and it stayed on for a good 4-5 hours even while eating and drinking:)

Update:Do not buy! This lasted me literally 5 days! Then dried out and I had to throw away. Waste of $.
I may buy this product again. I picked this up at Ulta for half price. It was in the clearance section. I got it in the color Blushing which looks like my lips but bitten and rosy! It almost looks a bit like a wine color stain, which I LOVE. I have olive latina skin and this color looks very natural on me but brightens my whole face up. I mean you can tell I have some color on my lips but nothing obvious. I layer on top my vegan lip balm with olive oil so that may account for it not lasting so long. I apply every 3 hours and I think that is pretty good! I like using the stain instead of a lipstick because it feels less thick on my lips and also lasts longer.
I would suggest this for anyone who is looking for something similar.

One of the best lip stains out there. Leaves behing a natural or dramatic flush of color. I bought it half off but i would honestly pay full price and plan on buying another shade like the plum. :)

Doesn't last at all! I even let it dry a few minutes after applying before I even close my mouth! I can't even drink with a straw without it coming off. The colors are pretty, it smells/tastes good, and application is easy with the pointed tip but it's just not worth it. :/

While this isn't expensive as compared to high end or even mid end lipstains, for a drugstore product of this quality, I felt it was way overpriced and would have returned if I had kept the receipt.
As for the product itself, the first time I applied it, it went on uneven and patchy. I also did not enjoy the feeling when it first went onto my lips--it felt like I was coloring my lips with a marker and it left an oddly sticky feeling. Once it dried, it made my lips feel a bit tight and dried out.
I decided to give it a second try, though, and took a bit more time to apply the stain and was initially happier with the results. With a bit more care, the color went on more evenly and was a nice reddish berry tone. However, the stain quickly faded on my lips (within about 30 minutes, having drank a glass of water), leaving only a dark rim around the edge of my lips.
Given its poor lasting power, the feeling while on the lips, and the drying of my lips, I would definitely steer clear of these lipstains.

I have this in Wink of Pink and as much as I love the color, it does not last long at all. I have lipsticks that last much longer. The felt tip goes dry in no time at all and applying to the top lip is almost impossible to get color to come out. As much as I do love the color, I will not re-buy this product. The price is too high for the quality.

This product sucked. It didn't feel smooth when applied to my lips... It dries out easily, like those cheap markers you get from the dollar store.
Thank goodness I bought this when it was on sale (50% off), because this product is not worth it at all at its regular price (~$8). Even the ELF lipstains are better than this. I got the one in "Touch of Toffee"- which had a peachy color on the cap. Definitely not true to the color at all- it was DARKER! -_- What a waste! Into the trashcan this lipstain goes.

For me, this is a good lipstain. My husband does not like to kiss me when I have lipstick, lipgloss, chapstick, etc. on. I purchased this stain in an effort to find something that has good color without the stickiness or transfer of other lip products. This stain has excellent pigment and stays on. I tried the CG brand, and the NYC brand which both dried out quickly for me. This lipstain has lasted me 9 months and is still going. I got this in Touch of Toffee. It wasn't true to color as it was a bit more of a peachy, brown, berry color (I know, not a good description, but don't know how to describe it.) I was expecting more of a nude, but the color still didn't bother me as my complexion has warm undertones, and the stain still did the job. I will most likely be purchasing one of these stains again.

Still searching for the perfect lipstain. I adore the color of this: a bright, fire enginey red. It looks really nice on my pale, no longer tan skin. It doesn't seem to dry my lips out like some other marker-type lipstains do, but it doesn't last worth a crap either. The fine marker tip made it easy to get good, even coverage, but within an hour, it looked like I just had on red lip liner. And I didn't eat or drink anything; that was just from talking! So, yea, I WOULD buy this again just for the color (cherry pop), but A. it's not a good stain and B. this color is being discontinued. I'll keep trying to find a stain that lasts. =(

I like the pink ones and corals. After tey are wet, they dry up and stain. They do not leave a stain like the Covergirl lipstain. it desn' getmessy. I like the rose and peach colort too. It's justnot my thing. I like the sensational lipstick and glosses better. I tryed this one out, I didn't work out.

Very nice! Although it does feel funny coloring my lips in with maker, i like the result. i have it in Feeli'n rosy and i can have a healthy color for day, or layer it on for a sultry going out look. It doesn't seem to feather or rub of on my cup or food when i eat or drink. Also it wont dry out lips. i do wish it had some sort of finish to it. it has a funny taste while its wet, but fades in seconds as it drys. it a nice thing i would recommend for girls who are tired of fast fading lipsticks.

UPDATE: After only using this for THREE DAYS it totally dried out on me!!! WTF?!? Okay so I know it's cheaply made and I didn't expect some thing that would parallel a Tarte lip stain but come on! I am sooo disappointed! And trust me, I didn't leave the cap off or anything and I kept it at room temp at all times. OMG, not only was the color so far off from the swatch on their website, the quality is rated 1 at best. I can't believe how crappy it is. I DON"T recommend it.

This is my review for the Maybeline Color Sensational in the color: "Blushing"....After doing my fair share of research, I found that either this, or the color "In The Buff" would be my best choice for a subtlle pastel pinky color according to the swatch on Maybeline's website and some shown on blogs and such. Well...I was wrong. First I heard that "In The Buff" was a more brownish color which was the opposite of what I was looking for so I went for "Blushing". This is more of a matte cranberry color, NOT baby pink. I actually thought that the color of the tube matches the actual color of the stain better than most other stains that have misleading packages. Overall, staying power was not too bad but not as good as Revlon's "Just Bitten" (I've tried that in "Instinct" - which I love and "Mystical" which is a darker, more berry version of "Instinct" --see my reviews on those!). Would I recommend? Well, it depends on what you're looking for, I only paid about $5-$6 for this at Target so price is great. If you're looking for a cheaper DS lipstain that doesn't chap your lips, this isn't a terrible choice. But honestly I think the Revlon ones are way better for only about a dollar or two more and it even comes with a lip balm to go over your stain for longer lasting and moisturized lips.
