This shampoo and conditioner are practically magic. I've been looking for a good shampoo and conditioner literally for at least a decade. I don't know whether modern shampoos have too much stuff in them to treat damaged and colored hair, or what, but I used to have no trouble finding shampoo for normal hair that would just clean and detangle without drying it out or leaving a waxy residue on it. I've been in hair limbo since Estee Lauder stopped making their wonderful shampoo and conditioner years ago.

My hair, which is very long and healthy, and has never been colored, was looking duller and drier, and the light red color was turning blonder and blonder (which I hate). I'm in my fifties, but still have no grey hair at all, but was beginning to wonder if my hair was just getting old. However, whenever I get it professionally cut and blow-dried, it looks great. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get it to look shiny and healthy at home, and have been switching shampoos every time I run out for decades searching for something good. No matter what they say on the bottle they always make my hair look dry and frizzy.

I've been using this shampoo and conditioner for about 2 weeks now (I only wash it every third or fourth day), and my hair looks shinier and healthier with each washing, and feels very silky. It's also SO much easier to detangle after washing. The red tones are coming through again, and as an extra bonus, I like the smell of the products. It really looks spectacularly shiny, and feel soft like when I was MUCH younger. I'm surprised every time I catch a glimpse in a mirror, it looks so good. No exaggeration.

As far as I know, you can only buy Shu Uemura products at their website or a few salons. I will be using this, in spite of the high price, forever.

Hallelujah. Seriously.

This product is amazing! My hair is temperamental, has a mind of its own, dry, damaged ( colour treated and often heat styled ). I have not come across any product that worked this well. I've had my fair share of trying a host of different products from drugstore, salon and some higher end ones. I noticed the difference immediately ( as I was rinsing ) and fully realized how well these products work for my hair by the time I was done styling. Pricey, mind you but product works like a charm. I use the Moisture Velvet shampoo as well. Will definitely repurchase and will try the mask as well.

I have very curly caucasian (3c-Julianna Marguiles) hair (just below shoulder length). My hair is fine (lots of it), not coarse. I use this conditioner once or twice a month as deep conditioner and it is wonderful. Leaves my hair shiny, my curls defined (not greasy, wet look defined) and soft. Usually comb it though and wear in a ponytail for a couple of hours (cleaning house or paying bill, etc) or sit under dryer for about 30 minutes. Leaves my hair shiny, soft, healthy look and with great curl definition (not the greasy wet look). Wash it out, comb through some AG Recoil with my fingers and air dry or diffuse. It is on the expensive side. I bought the jar and it lasted me for 12 deep conditions. that is about $4-5 each. Worth it for me. I will repurchase.

This is for the treatment. I wanted to love it so. I've read great reviews elsewhere. But, this product just weighed my hair down and left it feeling coated/waxy..too much silicone I suppose. I have fine hair and was not for me.

AMAZING product. I've never come across a conditioner that hydrates so flawlessly. I have Coppola Keratin Complex in my hair and I usually use products designed for that, but when my hair feels extra-dry, I bust this out. Whether I blow dry straight or let my hair dry wavy, my split ends seem to seal up and my hair lies flat, looks supple and smells amazing. The only annoyance? The pump is hard to work when you get toward the bottom of the container.

I bought this with high hopes, given my positive experience with Shu's skincare and makeup. The pros: Pretty packaging and an easy-to-use plastic pump dispenser that won't break in the shower. Cons: a very expensive product that didn't do anything for my dry, non-colored, wavy to curly below the shoulder hair. I used the conditioner with the matching MV shampoo, alone, and with Kerastase shampoo. Didn't see much of a difference with any combination. I wash, put in styling product and run out the door as hair air dries. Hair didn't feel softer or more moisturized enough to merit keeping this. So back it went to Shu - which is the reason to buy from them, since can return.
