Two things that bother me about this "treatment." One is that they market it as a "treatment" when it is a tinted moisturizer with a few ingredients that exist in hundreds of products. The second is the exorbitant price - this does not need to cost $125. I insisted that the SA provide a sample that would last a week rather than fall prey to the annoying sales pitch they try to pressure you with. Initially looks dewy and flattering but within a couple of hours it dries and calls attention to any tiny line or expression fissure that you may have. If you must have a tinted moisturizer with hyaluronic acid, there are others available including one from By Terry which is around $65, so roughly half the price of this. However, the By Terry moisturizer is heavily fragranced and this is fragrance-free. If you have very oily skin and want a hyaluronic acid product, and if the high price tag doesn't scare you, get a sample in Shade 2 (the most neutral color).

Is this a joke? This is a TM with retinol, that is the big, overwhelming "skincare treatment" ingredient. And I can get it at the drugstore. It looks okay at first, absolutely nothing special about this, comes in the quite normal and unfortunate limited color selection of three and is not sheer enough to blend in "whatever your skintone". Number 2 was applied to me and it is very warm toned, it did not match. And it's $125! LM, Stila, Tarte - all better TM's. And retinol does not justify this pricetag. Go two steps here, apply a retinol and then a TM if it is that important. I use Retin A so why would I use retinol? This is almost an insult to a consumer and the s/a's are VERY agressive, with this price tag they probably have to be to make one sale a day. As the day wears on this looks even worse. Well, the color was wrong from the beginning. S/A's are going to have a hard time selling this one.

I love this. I don't see any shimmer as others have mentioned. It makes my skin look great and gives light, but good coverage. I was able to get this in the new "light" shade. They now have 3 shades and that works great. I don't think I could use anything darker. I am a foundation junkie and this is my HG. I notice some people are using it as a primer but I don't feel I need anything on top of it. I haven't used it long enough to say anything about the benefits as far as hyperprigmentation, but I'm hoping for the best. I love this so much I am serieously considering the $350.00 night cream. You only use 2-3 times a week so I would hope it would last awhile.

Gave this the 7 day test run and I have to say it definitely improved my skin noticeably. I have some hyper pigmentation due to running outdoors all summer and plain just getting older :( I also have some superficial acne scars which usually take a few months to fade. PV definitely has lightened them up and my skin overall is much brighter. I don't have large pores but I do have visible pores (sans makeup) on my nose and on my cheeks near my nose. PV has seemed to have made them smaller but it isn't drastic. For my little trial run I used all my normal face care products including my moisturizer that contains SPF 20 and the only face makeup I used was Chanel's Double Perfection powder foundation, lipgloss and mascara.
This treatment fluid definitely will not give you coverage. Some get more than others but I think since I am on the darker end of the users of shade 2 (I'm NC30) I don't get as much coverage. If you are any darker than NC30, you should probably try shade 3. I will probably try shade 3 for the summer. It doesn't cover much but it really tones down redness/splotchiness. It has ALOT of shimmer to it - like a surprising amount. Some reviews I read said it didn't have sparkle and others said it was full on glittery or "disco ball" I think the words were. I wouldn't say it's glittery, more like really shimmery because it's a really fine textured shimmer - and noticeably so. But the shimmer factor is easily toned down with powder. I used my Chanel DP and it matted out the shimmer with one pass and looked really natural - more natural than just the Chanel DP on it's own. I think it's because of the luminosity the PV gives my skin so powder doesn't look as flat on.
The price at $125 for 1 oz. is ridiculous but I will continue to buy this. It just makes your skin look better - with makeup and without anything on your face. It comes in a really sleek silver pump and one pump is more than enough for your whole face. The amount of product dispensed is really easy to control so I am able to pump out about 3/4 of a full pump and that's a good amount for me. The consistency is really nice - not too thin/thick and really silky so it spreads evenly and easily. I still think the price is way too much but like I said, I will continue to fork over the money. If you already have really great skin, you could skip this but for everyone else, this is kind of a must have!

Splurged on this and it happens to be too sparkly and not enough yellow in it. Nothing special for 125 dollars.

I purchased this without using a sample first and I love it. The glow it gives my skin under my foundation is amazing and I already am noticing a change in my skin after only a week. No question but that I will buy this again.

Like the other reviewers, I bought (did not try a sample first) this product based on the rave reviews I'd read on this site and blogs. Overall, I appreciate that this product is an all-in-one solution. I was using a sunscreen and separate highlighter (Benefit Moon Beam) for day and a retinol at night. I cannot say that my skin looked noticeable better by the first week of use--as the product insert claims--but over the course of two months of daily use, some acne-related hyperpigmentation has faded. As for the day-to-day look of the product, it is sparkly and it does seem to be a tad darker than an ideal match (I use the medium-dark shade), but experimenting with the amount of product applied and a strategic use of blot powder helps. Also to provide more coverage, concealer or foundation are key.
Given the cost, if I do decide to repurchase, it would be in lieu of replacing the sunscreen, highlighter, and retinol. I think it is worth trying a sample if you are trying to reduce the amount of products you use daily. Otherwise, I think it's too pricy to be adding to a whole makeup arsenal.

I was lucky enough to score several samples of this product before buying. Each packette gives several applications, so I've been able to give it a fair try. The first thing is that I find it to be really, really sparkly--so much so that I found it unnatural looking even in evening lighting. (I think this could be toned down with powder, but because my skin is dry I use powder very sparingly and not all over my face.) Second, I found it to be a bit dry and difficult to apply evenly to my dry skin, with or without a primer. Third, it made my dry skin a bit drier, and the sparkles accentuated the dry patches--not the look I'm going for. Fourth, the light/medium shade was a tiny bit dark on me, and for $125 I don't expect to have to make a product work. Fifth, LMDB advises you to wear this directly on the skin to get the full skincare benefits. Sorry, LMDB, but SPF 20 isn't enough for me, so that's not going to happen. The staying power and coverage are good, but for the price this just isn't cutting it for me. I will not purchase the full size.

A word of caution - if you are already using a retinol product at night, and are curious to try this product, please get a sample first to see if your skin can handle a double dose. Mine is not able to.
Due to the internet hype around this product, I went to my local Neiman Marcus to try it out. The SA was generous with samples, so I was able to use it for a few days. And as much as I wanted to love this "miracle" product, because I love the idea and ingredients (and who doesn't want Virgin Skin?! Brilliant naming on the part of the marketers) it just didn't do it for me, in fact it made my skin dry and flakey. Perhaps because I use a retinol product at night (DermaDoctor's Poetry in Lotion... which I love!!) this proved to be too drying. I also found the shimmer to be a bit too obvious.

I'm not convinced about the long-term effects of retinol or the necessity of wearing it during the day. However, I was not looking so much for a treatment as much as a product that would not inflame my skin. The product itself is lightweight and caused no irritation. It does contain SPF, but it's just a sheered out foundation--not a moisturizer. It did not make my skin better or worse. The product is not remarkable for the outrageous price.

As others have said, there are wonderful things about this product. It does give a lovely glow to skin and it feels great on the skin. I bought it after trying it out for about 3 weeks using a bunch of samples. However, I wouldn't buy it again for 3 reasons. 1) The light/medium color turns my skin pretty dark (and I'm not all that fair!). I don't like that, after using it, I look like I'm wearing fake tanner and my face is darker than my neck/chest. And I don't want to have to smear this all the way down to my neckline, because it will stain my clothes. 2) While it does color my face, it doesn't give enough actual coverage under my eyes and around my nose, so I have to use a dark concealer to match, which I don't have. 3) The price.
I did try mixing this with Chantecaille tinted moisturizer in Bliss to fix the color problem, and that's better, but a bit heavy. I also tried mixing with foundation but that just made my foundation darker, which I don't want. Regardless, for darker skin tones, this is special--but pricey--stuff.

Wonderful, awesome, amazing!! This has truly has made a big difference in my skin in one month in using it. It's to be used daytime only. My skin - a bit uneven, mild Rosacea, mild acne. This product has retinol in it, which is time released and encapsulated and delivered deep into the skin without irritation. It's also is tinted, a little shimmery, and has SPF 20. Within a week or so in using it, my face overall felt softer and smoother. Over the month, it's reduced my daily mild acne to slight.
To recap or give Pro's -
Beautiful, shimmery lotion with SPF 20
Smooths face and evens skin tone
Lessens blemishes
Wears well with foundation/powder on top or if you have minor flaws - great tinted moisteriser on it's own.
Not overly hydrating - good for both dry and oily skins
Nice texture and applies well. Livens the skin.
Fragrance free - big plus for sensitive skin
Non-irritating for me - and I have sensitive skin. Use it once a day only.
Con's -
Only two shades. The light/medium is a smidge dark for very fair skin like mine. But if you blend it out well, it looks stunning and not too dark. A "light" color would be perfect for us porcelains!
If it were slightly more pigmented, it would eliminate the need for a light foundation on top (on some days I can go without though). I do wear foundation to work though for more coverage.
Update: Still loving this!! Has done wonders - smoothing skin and even-ing out skin tone. Note, ladies who are fair like me, make sure you really blend this in so it does look more natural. Also, the SA said you can apply a light powder foundation or liquid on top for more coverage (I do this sometimes).
Note: I heard from the SA that sometime Fall/Winter a "clear" formulation will be available. Keep your eyes out! This will be good for those of us who are fair and may want "no color" but the benefits this anti-aging powerhouse offers! Also, I heard the company is working on additional skincare to be released 2011- stay tuned!!
Price - $125 and only sold at Neiman Marcus

I am so happy that this product finally made it to MUA. I am just finishing up my 2nd week of using it but I have to say it is one of the best products that I have every used and I have tried many high end brands. I have used it now for all 14 days and have absolutely no complaints. It is easy to apply and gives my skin a glow that is absolutely natural. In fact, this product sinks effortlessly into my skin and makes it feel soft, calm, smooth and rested. I have received so many compliments and got 3 of my friends hooked already... The most impressing aspect of the product is the technology that it uses to deliver retinol into the skin with no irritation. There is no itching, flaking, flare-ups etc. The product also has a light reflecting element that show a little shimmer at certain points on the face just when you need it most - like magic.
This product is worth every penny but I do recommend trying a sample before purchasing as it is an investment. I also use the concealer for additional coverage and a little of their bronzer and I am good to go for the summer months. I warn you, this line is brilliant and there is no turning back
I will update in a few months.

Although on the verge of being prohibibitively expensive, this product impresses me. Skin texture is improved, wrinkles are less pronounced, pores appear wee bit smaller. I also like how it enhances foundation applied atop it. It contains sunscreen with SPF 20 as well as magic bullet retinol, so that justifies the cost somewhat.
(I am in my 8th week of using and will update later.)
Update: I purchased this in April of 2010; it's now September and I just ordered a replacement. I have used it "efficiently," applying it once a day in the morning and not too thickly. Although I winced when I repurchased, I still think it's worth the money because it is long-lasting, especially when you consider that it contains SPF 20 and the retinol, with the added benefit of being a great makeup primer. Purchase those three products individually and you'd spend the $125 anyway. Are my pores invisible? No. Smaller, yes. Face is definitely smoother, particularly around my mouth and chin. Additional note: I use Paula's Choice Alpha and Beta Hydoxy creams, rotating them at night.

I will review this in three areas-
As a treatment, a primer/corrector AND as a tinted moisturizer.
In my opinion, it is the best of both worlds, and well worth trying.
I use the light - medium shade.
It IS expensive, and available at Neiman Marcus, so see if you can try a sample packet first.
I am really impressed at what a natural and poreless look it gives!
