When I first tried this I thought it was too strong for me but once it dried down it was like a walk on the beach and reminded me of holidays, its also very unisex and could be worn my Women and Men. My son-in-law wanted to know what the lovely smell was so I told him and he said he liked it and would wear it himself.

I was not immediately sold on this fragrance. At first spritz it comes across really strong even obnoxious, and just when I decided I hated it bam! The scent changed. This scent is so complex that it changes several times before it dries down to the actual scent according to your body chemistry. That's why this scent is so unique. When it dries downs on me I can smell the ocean, slightly over ripe pear, fig, tobacco and wood. Womanity is soft and powerful airy, complicated yet simple, sexy yet innocent all at the same time.

Great perfume!!! I love it a lot and just re purchase another bottle without hesitation when its still on sale at Harrods. Great price!!

Firstly, I want to buy a new perfume for 2013 I have browsed on sale then found Womanity on sale quite cheap in Harrods. Oh yes, would be nice to save some cash so I think to get Womanity because its such a good price for a gift set not bad at all, after searching on internet and read through so many reviews on so many sites. So, I decided to buy it online !! Yes online without smelling it too , here and there had awful reviewing about this perfume and yes that scared me off a bit but as a very high confident person as I always am so I thought I have to try this perfume and decided to order online without hesitated from Harrods and without smelling it first as well.

I waited with worrying for a couple day but thought, sort it , even though it probably will comes out as bad smells as all reviews said.

OMG! amazingly how I fall in love with Womanity for the first time when its arrived 2 days ago. This is a unique perfume and suitable for a unique people only I suppose, because the scent is just like no other , so you have to bear in mind, if you are looking for something different from others this perfume is for you. I'm glad I purchased Womanity and stock up another bottle so this can last me all year round .

Very happy with my purchased and Womanity will be my signature for all year round or maybe longer than that :D Such a uniquely scent I love xxx

I received a sample of this with a swap and was so excited to try it, as it boasted to have some of my favorite fragrance notes. The iPerfumer app has a listing containing:
Top notes: grapefruit, calone, apple, blackcurrant. Middle notes: fig, nut, rose, salicylate. Dry notes: cashmeran, dry amber, vanilla, heliotrope.
Sounded great on paper, but unfortunately these notes did not blend into a delicious melange I was hoping for. It started out very loud, with a sharp floral note that practically gave me a brain freeze upon smelling. You know what I mean, the ones that are so in your face they practically blind you. I also picked up on some aquatic notes, which had I known where in this perfume I would have never tried it in the first place as I am not a fan of marina scents. I mentioned to my husband that I was sampling a new perfume and before I could even ask if he liked it or not he immediately responded with "nope." Lol! It seemed to take forever for the perfume to dry down, but once it did it became a very sweet, vanilla-floral but not in a good way. I love sweet fragrances and I do like florals but this was not cohesive. The floral note was too sharp for the vanilla to smooth over, leaving a mismatched and uneasy feeling, like Grandma floral meets Justin Bieber. I did not get any fruity or fig notes that many reviewers have mentioned smelling. I also did not pick up on any "bodily smells" that others have described in great detail, lol! Pure and simple, this perfume did not work for me but I knew going in that this would be a big possibility, considering Thierry Mugler scents' history of variable ratings. His perfumes either work for you or they don't. Apparently I fall in the latter category. Please don't let this review dissuade you from trying out this perfume as you may be one the lucky ones that this works for and good luck!

This is my first foray into Theirry Mugler. I've read all sorts of exciting things about his frangrances, so how could I resist?!
I'd been saving this one up for a special occasion; an occasion when I would be relaxed and receptive to all his rumoured strangeness. I am a floral lover, this is outside my particular box. So today, Christmas Day, I dove in.
Lovely, weird pink bottle; art deco, strong looking. Not my style, nor does it really reflect the juice inside, but hey, art is art and people like what they like. Open mind on this one.
On first spritz, yum! Spicey, sweet, edible, FIG. "Wow", thought I..."this could be a problem. I have recieved a full size of Stella today and this is blowing it away."
So I waited it out and now at the end of the day, I can say that Stella is safe in her top position.
The sweet spicy figiness fell away quickly leaving a sharp brightness that eventually left me with a whopping headache. I do get the rumoured caviar note but it isn't terribly rancid, just sharp. I live by the ocean, so real marine smells are comforting rather than off putting to me, but this version of saltiness just doesn't work on my skin. It is that salty sharpness that is the deal breaker and the deciding factor for me.
So for all the lovely figgy opening, the drydown on this is intolerable.

Update: day 3 and this is turning into a scrubber. I still love the opening but I know the sharpness and headache that is coming. The drydown feels almost green rather than salty. Sigh. This experiment will come to an end soon, one way or another.

Update: day 5, final day. My husband likes the smell as I waft on by but agrees that it is horrid up close. And as the one wearing it, I am up close to it all day. This is complex, has a story and I really, really want to love it. Fig, caviar, woody, salty...and not for me.

This fragrance smells good at first spray, but then it takes a masculine peppery turn that I just don't like.

K OMG EWWW!

First time I hated it...something I never smelled before but thought I would try it again just in case and the opening notes are just so gross...can't even describe it...hated it even more then the first time. I had to scrub it off.

Womanity is really something new. And controversial of course.
I have to admit I admire Thierry Mugler's fragrances. You may like them or not but you have to admit they have guts.
Angel was the first gourmand. Alien is a full strength jasmine bomb with some amber and wood.
And womanity. A not very complicated fragrance.
Starts with a jaw dropping realistic fig note. If you haven't smelt or tasted actual figs you get an excellent interpretation I assure you. And fig tree leaves as well. Very original. If womanity would have developed to something more friendly than caviar I would so have bought it. But nope, sadly, I don't enjoy the salty note. Silage and longevity are excellent..
I'm a bit pissed. I appreciate the originality and the quality but I like only the top notes. Now I have to Try the latest version ''Womanity Eau Pour Elles EDT'' with hope for less salt.

Ummm not sure what people are meaning when they say it has a salty or fishy smell, maybe YOU just smell like that to begin with LOL...Smells pretty and flowery to me and the after scent that lasts all day is very nice. I also am obsessed with pink so the bottle rocks too. Definitely would buy again.

I wear & love Angel and Star .. So unique and last all day.. I have such faith in Thierry Muglers scents that I ordered Womanity without ever smelling it! And I knew I wouldn't be disappointed! It's funny reading some of these reviews describing what it smells like on them.. I happen to wax vaginas ( Estetician) for a living and never smelled anything close to Womanity lol I wish! But everybody's chemistry is different just glad it smells good on me as his others.. Simply amazing!!!

apparently i aint the only one who detected the "vagina" note in this "perfume". its not a stinky vaginal scent. its more like a healthy 3pm natural vagina scent, mixed with sharp fruity notes. when i wear this i get whiffs of that vag note here and there, causing me to feel somewhat dirty.which defeats the purpose of applying the perfume in the first place.it makes me think people around me will smell me and assume ive tried to disguise my vaginal "odor" with some fruity perfume or that i really had my face buried in one.i DETEST fruity perfumes. its the fruits in this that makes that vag note smell somewhat pungent.i feel like this would have worked better if the fruity notes were replaced by idk, soft florals? or some spicy notes? creamy notes? that would have made this perfume smell really sexy. i cant believe people out there wear this. and the bottle imo is very tacky, it looks like a tweaked version of that paris hilton "just me" bottle.and if i were to associate women with a color, it'd be red or purple or deep magenta idk, but DEFnot pink.id only wear this maybe at home with my guy and see how it plays with his nose and his HEADS lol

This is a very interesting fragrance. I tried this on last week at Sephora and it reminded me a lot of BPAL-quality fragrances, but I couldn't tell whether I loved it or not. It's sharp at first, however I wore it the rest of the day and the scent faded into a pleasant, soft, warm smell. That first hit is kind of addicting and it had been on my mind all week. I went back to the store today to try it out again and I decided then and there that I loved it and I bought myself the small purse-sized bottle.

I think its aim in capturing "womanity" in a fragrance was spot-on. It's feminine, strong, and, as odd as it sounds to say this about a perfume, it's smart. My boyfriend didn't care for it last week, but I'm going to see if he changes his mind, since I think this fragrance morphs with body chemistry.

Way too strong. All I smell is pineapple and sunscreen and I get memories of teenage holidays. Not as bad on fabric, but dries down terrible on me. Still, wouldn't spray it on fabric either, it would simply give me a headache!

I think Womanity is the only Mugler I've tried that I would actually consider wearing. I hated Angel (waaay too sweet, and the patchouli didn't help temper it.. it just went weirdly sharp and almost sour), and Alien is okay, but it has a note in it that smells like Windex to me and kind of ruins it. Though Womanity's fig is a bit sweeter than I really like (I'm really into Diptyque Philosykos right now, to give some idea of how I like my fig), I love the caviar note, which just reads to me as a pleasing saltiness and helps cut though the sweetness. I think the salty note kind of makes it for me, because without that note I think this would just be too fruity and sweet.

***Edit*** I revisited Womanity at Sephora today, and I realized that the review above was actually referring to a different version of Womanity than the regular one. It was actually the Taste of Fragrance version with fig chutney in it.. *That* was the one I thought was too sweet. I had forgotten that there was more than one version the first time I tried it, and I realized it when I tried the regular EDP today and wondered for a moment what I had been thinking. I really like the regular EDP.. it's not actually overly sweet. I like the fig in this one, but then again I seem to be on a big of a fig kick lately. I ended up buying Womanity today, because it was only $28 for the 0.33oz bottle, and I thought that wasn't bad. I noticed, and I wonder if maybe it's the caviar note bringing it out, that I'm getting a bit of a popcorn note, like in Jelly Belly buttered popcorn jellybeans. That sounds like it shouldn't be good, but I like it.

Wasn't sure at first with the fagrance. Was very strong, but after a while, the smell sunk in and just smelt wonderful. It actually does smell womanly the woody sandwood just smells awesome. Pricey, but does last a long long time. I'd wear it during the winter season.

This is a certainly an unusual fragrance. I'm always on the lookout for something thats different but it's hard to come across one that isn't either too strange to wear or sickly. Perhaps as this seems like it's in a class all on its own I found I just couldn't make my mind up about it. I loved and hated it at the same time. As other reviews have pointed out it doesn't mix well with some peoples body chemistry and I find this may have been the problem with me. Some days it smelled quite different to others. It did though last ALL day long wich is very important to me. I want to be able to enjoy the fragrance myself. I had eventualy decided that I would keep it as a great everyday "edgy" perfume to wear that would make me stand out from the crowd. But a thought came through my mind that made me rethink my decision..."Would a man like to smell this on a woman??"...I'm not entirely convinced...
