I love this brush so much that I bought a couple. I bought the small travel size one a while ago. I also have the MAC 217 and I would say that they are very close in comparison. They both get the job done. I like the Sigma 217 a lot because it cost me less than $10 and it is wonderful. It is slightly less dense but i dont think it makes too much of a difference.

I have both the Sigma SS217 and the MAC 217. I will say that there is a difference between the brushes hence only giving it 4 lippies. The brush head on the Sigma is a bit more bushy and therefore doesn't give as precise as an application as the MAC 217 brush. Really though, with the price difference, I would buy more SS217 brushes and I'd only get another MAC 217 if it were a gift. This is the one eye shadow brush I feel like I can't have too many of.

I agree with all positive reviews. This brush is soft and dense enough for blending, really nice quality. It maintains its shape and does the job! 100% recommended!!!

My absolute favourite brush! So soft, perfect density, blends colours like no other! Does not shed at all. I use it every single day!

I LOVE this brush. It's super soft, doesn't shed, and picks up color like a dream! It also deposits color softly and evenly, and is perfect for laying color on the lids or blending them into the crease. The brush keeps it's shape without fraying or getting too fluffy after use, and is fluffy enough to do great blending jobs, but still narrow enough to do it with precision. Perfect.

On its own this is a really great eye/crease blender brush with just the right shape to get into the crease and be able to blend well/smoothly/evenly. The denseness and "resistance" are just right. A great product at a great price.

To compare it to the MAC 217, for which it is a dupe:

The Sigma one is about a half inch or so longer at the handle, and the brush part is a bit longer as well. The sigma brush is not quite as dense as the MAC one (close though). The MAC 217 still blends better because of the thicker overall denseness & thickness of its bristles...so I still prefer it. .BUT the Sigma is pretty darn close. It's the best dupe I have seen yet (and honestly there really aren't any other that come close IMO)...and I know I am going to get a LOT of use out of it.
