Exactly the same as O lipstick, a frost.
One of my favorites.

I really love this lipstick. On my NC45 skintone, the burgundy color whitens my teeth and contrasts nicely with my brownish/golden undertones. As many of the other reviewers have noted, this color is much darker in the tube than it applies on the lips. Funbathing is one of the few l/s that I feel comfortable applying without a lip liner and it still looks great. This l/s has been compared to "O" l/s by MAC. It is true that this is "O" in cremesheen form without the frosty/metallic look and feel of "O." So if you have "O" and do not use it a lot, funbathing may not be the lippy for you, but if it is a choice between purchasing this or "O," this is the better lippy in terms of texture, look and overall performance. And, if you are a serious addict like myself, you own both (smh). But to feel as though I don't have a problem, I may give away "O" (although, that may then justify getting a back-up of funbathing...smh some more). Sorry for the self therapy/conflict, back on track. This l/s would probably look great on many warm skintones, but definitely a welcomed addition to the collections of woc's.

I agree with some others that this doesn't seem like a particularly summery type shade. I like the mauvey-berry color, and it looks good on my fair complexion. I wish it was a lustre formula, because I find those less matte and easier to apply--they glide right over the lips. With Funbathing, I find I have to apply lip balm first, and even then the lipstick pulls on my lips a bit as I'm applying. I don't really have a problem with the Cremesheen formula, I just wish this particular lipstick was a bit more sheer and moisturazing.

Funbathing was the only lippie I considered from the "To The Beach" collection...the others were either too orange and frosty, and the pinks were too close to what I already own from previous purchases. I wanted other items from the collection, however most of the stuff sold out in record time. Funbathing seems to be one of those lippies that works on about any complexion. I am fair, dark blond hair with pigmented lips, and this lippie, when used with a light hand, is very attractive. It's a sheer plum/raspberry with a gold shimmer that isn't gritty or over the top. It enchances my natural lip color and adds a little oomph. I also like the formula...it's light, can be used sheer or layered for more dramatic look. I think this color will be great for fall too. Don't let the color in the tube fool you. It's a dark brown, but brightens up wonderfully. It reminds me of "Strike A Pose", however I think it's a bit more sheer and has more of a pink/plum tinge to it. If you have "Strike A Pose, you might not need this,

This is perfect for dark skinned beauties like myself. It looks so dark in the tube that it makes you wonder why MAC would add a color like this to a summer collection. When you apply it, it's a bronze plum color but it's sheer and the formula's nice and creamy. I personally would've named it summer kiss or something. I really need to get a few more tubes before this collection disappears!

FYI: Funbathing looks really great over Temperature Rising (loud mouth orange from the "To The Beach" collection from MAC)!!!

This lipstick will be in heavy rotation this summer, actually, all year long. Rarely do I absolutely love a lipstick but I think FunBathing stole my heart. Beautiful reddish bronze with a gorgeous golden sheen and very soft and smooth texture. I almost passed this lippie up and I am so glad I decided to get it. Perfect for warm skintones.

This is a very beautiful lipstick.....The Creemsheen formula is very moisturizing...it looks fabulous paired with a gold gloss...It is not very bold and not dark at ll..the tube color is a bit deceiving it appears to be very dark but it does not translate that way on the lips....I am a NC45 for refernce

I stopped by the MAC counter today when I was at Nordie's to check out the collection, and this was the last lippie I picked up to try out. In the tube, it looks like a scary dark color for summer (especially on my NC 15 skin), which is why it was the last one I picked up. However, once I tried it on, I loved it the most of the new beach collection lippies! It's got a beautiful rosy sheen to it, and looks very summery and pretty.

I had really wanted to pick up a gloss since lipstick seems so heavy to me for summer, but the Creamsheen formulation is nice and light, and all of the lovely sparkles in it make it look almost like a gloss. It's got the staying power of a lipstick, but the shine of a gloss.

The tube it comes in also so adorable! It's so cute for summer. I think that I will be picking up a backup of this!

I made a list of the items I wanted to pick up from the To The Beach collection and this lipstick was not one of them. I ended up swatching every single product from this collection and was pleasantly surprised by Funbathing lipstick. It looked lovely when swatched on my hand, but on my lips: WOW! It''s so flattering! HG contender for me.
I love sheer lipproducts with a slight sheen and I have a lot of those in orange and pink tones, but nothing like this. Funbathing is a gorgeous warm toned lipstick that looks subtle on. It accentuates the red in my lips while adding a gorgeous golden sheen. The only thing is, for me it's not so much a summery colour, but more like an autumn colour. I cannot wait to wear it with autumnal eyeshadows like MAC's Club, or my lovely Ellis Faas 104.
I have not worn anything else since I got it. Absolutely love it and might be buying a back up!

This is a GORGEOUS warm berry shade with a golden glimmer. I'd agree with some bloggers who've compared it to a sheer, less brown/copper version of "O." I love the idea of O but it was always too brown and vampy on me. Funbathing is beautiful and plummy but still slightly warm. It can be quite dark if heavily applied but I just swipe a little on both lips and blot. It's sheer and glimmery...sort of an amped up MLBB. I swatched it next to Sophisto on my arm and it is just slightly warmer & more saturated than Sophisto. I love Funbathing so much I bought a backup. I also LOVE the packaging...the sleek coral bullet with the sand colored shell printed on it is lovely and perfect for summer.

For the record, I could not wait to buy "Thrills" from MAC to the Beach b/c I had read it was such a unique, warm rosy color. However, I looked quite dead in it & my hubby was not too impressed. No one could figure out what color it was and I decided it translated as orange on me. I had seen early pictures of people wearing both Thrills & Funbathing online and IMO, Funbathing was more flattering on everyone. Snag this shade before it's gone the way of all great MAC LE lippies!
