Not exactly an original, but it's just about perfect. This is a crème lilac that works on my NC42 complexion. It's almost a neutral. It's a fast-drying 2-coater, and I like the plasticky finish. Yes, it's scented when dry, but I don't care about that feature in a nail polish. The retail price at CVS is $5.99 which I think is too much, but during a BOGO sale with coupons and ECBs, it was only 25 cents.

To be honest, i don't know how i feel about this product.
I bought it looking at the colour cause i looooove pastel colours! when i opened and used it i was kind of disappointed with the colour pay off as you need atleast three coats to get a stand out colour. also i think that because you do need three coats it takes ages to fully dry, if you knock it even an hour later it slightly dents and stuff.
i love the smell, but i kinda feel i can always smell it and it kinda gives me a headache, not too sure on this one!

You do require more than 3 coats to get a nice consistant color , and the smells is so yummy I can get my hands away from my face to breathe in all in.. so much fun!!!!

This is a creamy pale lilac. I don't know why buy am I attracted to colors like this. It is just so pretty and my favorite for spring. It needs 3 coats but looks smooth and even when you get there. It reminds me of the candy dots scent when dry.

I gave in to impluse buying and grabbed this.
The colour is too milky so it leaves streaks. maybe with a third coat it would even out but I am a firm beleiver that nail polish should not take more than two coats to be worthwhile.
Colour may be a bit to light on my hands too. Looks out of place on me.

I LOVE the color of this nail polish, little disappointed that it needed 3-4 coats though.
The scent is not mind blowing, but it's not terrible either.
Overall I was happy with how the nail polish looked.

Hells yeah!
I love this nailpolish not only is it a beautiful colour but it smells like sweet bubble gum?! It's a nice surprise when I have my hand on or near my face haha.
Quite sheer after the first coat but a good 3 coats and I think it's presentable, I'd probably put four just to be safe.
Overall It's pretty good but I wish I didn't have to apply so many coats. It chips for me after 2 days but I do a lot of cleaning ect.

I have this on my nails right now and I love the color! To get the color to show up evenly I applied Salley Hansens Hard As Nails in Platinum first. Then I put two thin coats of Gum Drop and it looks great. If you apply this. 2 coats of this on its own it comes out very uneven.

So I purchased this polish and was disappointed with how sheer it was...took 3+ coats to get the even opacity of the bottle color on my nails. I absolutely LOVED the shade on my warm, fair skin though, so I brought the bottle back to CVS to return and search for another comparable color. I compared it to every lilac shade I could find (another "lilac pastelle" from Revlon, Nice is Nice by Essie, Lilacism by Essie, and others whose names I don't remember) but gave up and ended up keeping it. Basically, NONE of them could hold a candle to this shade. It is just beautiful. So, with gritted teeth, I painted Gum Drop on my nails again this morning...4 coats, but I smile every time I look at my hands.
I don't get what people are complaining about with regards to the scent. I find it pleasant and barely noticeable once I slather Seche Vite (my HG top coat) over my nails.
If you have a warm, fair-medium complexion and are looking for something to brighten your hands and add a pop of sophisticated color, this is the polish for you.

One of my favorite nail polishes that I own. It's a very pretty pale lavender color, which is really flattering on my fair skin. I think it could work for a lot of skin tones. It takes about 2-3 coats for opacity, which isn't too bad. It dries fairly quickly as well. And other than the color, the best thing about this polish is the SMELL! It smells sooo good! I recommend this polish! :)

This colour is really gorgeous. It is a pale purple - a very pretty lilac colour. The formula is pretty sheer and streaky, so I had to use three coats to make it opaque.
You would never believe that this would have such a sweet scent when it dries - the polish in the bottle smells like regular old nail polish! I like the dry polish's gum drop scent a lot though.
I love all of Revlon's nail polish packaging, so as always, I'm very pleased with that. The price of this one was very reasonable - I picked it up for $3.96 at Walmart.
Overall, I think the colour is very flattering and perfect for spring and summer! If applying three coats isn't a problem for you, I would recommend giving this one a try.

I have been searching for the perfect BLUE-based, bright, opaque, creme lavender polish for about 2 years now. I've purchased one by Essie, and "Done out in Deco" by OPI... both of which actually turned out to be grey-based lavender, and "Do you lilac it?" By OPI which turned out to be pink-based lavender. Nice, but not at all what I was looking for. I was searching ULTA for "Muggins" by Butter London, but they didn't have it, so I'd given up. I found this on a Revlon display at the back of the drugstore cosmetics aisle in ULTA and snapped it up. So far, it seems to be the color I was searching for (and it's scented so that's a cute bonus...)
Gum Drop is a pale blue-based lavender, that applies smoothly, with minimal streaking in the first coat. Any streaks disappear by the 2nd coat, and you could leave it at 2 coats if you wanted. I put on 3 coats and got full bottle color and opacity, which is what I was shooting for. (Had it been an OPI or butter london color, I'd have gotten bottle color and full opacity in 2 coats, tops, but for 1/2 the price of OPI and 1/3 of the price of Butter London I'm not complaining.)
I'm not a fan of the brush that comes in Revlon polishes- it's too long and narrow, I prefer the OPI Pro-Wide brush, as I find it gives me better control, but after painting my pinkie nail I had the hang of it. (I am an experienced fingernail painter...I do it myself 3x a week and have for probably 5 years- my manicurist almost always asks me if I have on the UV Gel polish when I go in for my bi-monthly manicure, because I get the finish so smooth, and shiny with no cuticle mess-- a less experienced DIY manicure giver might struggle with the long, skinny brush.) The brush is why it got 4 lippies in packaging instead of 5...aside from that, the package is fine.
If this wears for at least 3 days without chipping, I'll likely buy a backup, and try several more of the polishes in this line, (the pale blue and green ones to be exact.) The blue one looks similar to OPI's "What's with the Cattitude" which I already have and the green one looks similar to an ULTA color that I have, so I'll have to think about those.
Overall I'm pleased with this purchase, and would re-buy if necessary. I think I paid $4.59.

This is such a pretty colour, and even better, I found it on sale! I've got about 4 Revlon nail polishes, and this one applies the best. It goes on smoothly and evenly and dries quickly. The colour, a pale pastel lilac suits my fair skintone really well too, without being too cool and making me look mildly hypothermic. It really does smell like bubblegum, which I don't mind, because the colour is so beautiful. It's just a shame that all of Revlon's nailpolishes aren't of the same quality.

Haven't tried this, but it looks like a really good dupe of OPI Rumples Wiggin, which I LOVE.

The best pastel purple I have ever come across. I tried so many light colors that just looked white and never stood out. The formula for me needs 3 coats to become completely opaque but the formula dries fast. I got mine last year and it had limited edition on it but I got another one last week at cvs and it does not have a limited edition sticker so I hope it stays around. If you are looking for a stand out pastel purple, this does it.

Got this on clearance since Ive been dying to try a lilac purple. Its a little thin, but fast drying, so putting additional coats are easier. The color: pretty. the smell: terrible. Made me nauseous, and Im praying a regular top coat, along with plenty of hand washing will make it go away.
edited to add: simply cannot stand the smell, could not bear to use it again, so bumped down to one lippie. Ill spend the extra money to get another purple that doesnt carry that scent as isnt as thick.

For some reason, lilac and lavendar colors don't look good on my nails. I've tried a bunch and so i tend to avoid these colors. However, i did decide to pick this one up since it is pretty inexpensive. I really like this color. the formula is pretty good on this, not streaky and lasts pretty long on my nails without chipping, without a topcoat. i love that these are scented. it's just a nice fun touch to it. the scent reminds me of those scratch and sniff stickers when i was a kid.
This is a good buy, and i'm glad i picked it up. Would look great for Spring and Summer.

I got this on sale for 3.99 at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada and I'm in LOOOOOOOVE with the colour (after 2 coats). It's so pretty, and different from anything else that I have. The scent is really sweet, like candy... and it disappears after a while but that's okay with me. I didn't really buy it for the scent anyway, I bought it because I thought the colour would be perfect for spring and I was right :D

I really like this polish. It's a light, milky lilac purple. It wouldn't exactly call it "pastel" because it isn't really a white-purple. I would say it's maybe border pastel. My skin tone is around MAC NC35 and it's not too light for me. It does have a scent - can't really put my finger on it.. It smells sugary. Maybe like jelly beans? It's nothing overpowering.. you can barely smell it after the first day. The formula itself is fine - I wish it was a little more opaque. The color is in fact very sheer and if you want opaque nails, two coats will not do it. I had to apply three coats, but I'm very happy with the result. It just stinks a little that Revlon's nail polish isn't "fast" drying - so to apply three coats, you may have to sit around doing your nails a little longer than you normally would with a bottle of OPI. The finish of the polish is pretty shiny, but a top coat is necessary. I didn't apply a top coat and much later in the day I ended up with a large nick on my nail. Overall, I rate it 4/5. Depending if I get a full weeks wear out of this polish, I'll come back and make it a 5. Love this color and I'll be sure to wear it throughout Spring.
