I ordered 6 Ulta lipsticks online when they had a Buy 3 Get 3 promotion and I'm really impressed. My particular favorite is Sugar & Spice, which is a gorgeous MLBB shade and my everyday go-to color. All of the ULTA lipsticks are very creamy and opaque and fairly long wearing. I really like the packaging, which I find to be upscale looking for such an inexpensive product.

So they opened an Ulta shop at my local mall and of course, I HAD to visit it.
I'm on a strict budget so I went there more to browse than anything else. I found their stuff was on sale. Lipsticks went for $2. How can one resist? Anyway, I decided to go with #229, which in their website figures as Sugar and Spice. On my tube it just says 229. But who cares? The color is absolutely fabulous. Anyone who ever bothered to read my posts knows that I DETEST concealer/Barbie pink l/s, and I tend to stick with brown pinks or brown mauves as the lightest shade.
This color is hard to describe. It's a pinkish brick brown, a warm hue, that defines my lips beautifully, but is not too matte or pigmented to look heavy for summer. It's not sheer or light, but it look so elegant and lovely. Not long-lasting, but I have no problem re-applying since I do believe that stay-on-forever MU - especially lipstick - looks quite disgusting after some time, all caked-up and dry. Eww!
At $2 this was as good as free. But I would gladly re-purchase even at $8-10. I'm really, really happy with this. Welcome, Ulta!

I really enjoy ULTA lipsticks! They're super inexpensive ($8 regular but Ulta always has BOGO free sales so $4-AMAZING). The color range is awesome, they have a lot more shades to choose from than I would have ever expected.
I bought two lipsticks that are brown-pink-nudes (going for the "My lips but better" look) and I love love the colors!
Application is not my absolute favorite as these are pretty matte and I prefer Satin, Lustre or Amplified finishes.
The solution: use a lip scrub and moisturize well with a nice lip balm before application. Or top it off with a favorite well-moisturizing lipgloss.
The packaging is so fantastic! It really screams high quality to me. While i love MAC and Revlon lipsticks, I cannot always afford MAC and Revlon has awesome shades and wearability but ULTA brand has shades completely unique to anything I can find with Revlon. Those 3 brands are the ones I always go for, so if you're looking for a cheap matte finished lipstick in a unique and unknown shade... go for ULTA!

I got a sheer super shiny looking ulta lipstick. I don't know what it's called but the label on the bottom says #131. I looked for the color online but couldn't find it. :/. It's a gorgeous color. Nudey super shiny pink. It makes my lips look plump, sexy, and healthy. It's definitely a great color. I am not impressed by the staying power though. 2 hours after I put it on you would never know I had it on. I wouldn't by this again, but I do love the color and the way it looks when it lasts.

Finally I've found the perfect nude lipsticks. I bought the colors Coffee Break an In the Buff. I am Asian and NC25. Both lipsticks are in the nude family, but they are healthy looking nude, not the washed out or concealer nude. Coffee Break is brownish nude, perfect for fall/winter, very low key but adds some color to you lips. In the Buff is pink nude, and has the same effects as Coffee Break, quiet but pretty. Both are very smooth and long-lasting, packaging is cute as well. I purchased them when Ulta offer two for $6 deal. $3 for each, what can be better!

I was looking for a MLBB lipstick and I think I've found it in ulta's dare to bare. I'm nw15/20 and adding dare to bare over ulta's mauve lip liner is a perfect fit for me. It gives me a nice, sheer, pinky peach. It smells a little fruity (which I love), and you can't beat the price. I think I paid $2 for it on sale and $4 for the lip liner. You can't go wrong with that.

Got the color "Parisian Pout" for $1 from the clearance section at Ulta and as it turns out, it's my favorite color I own!
It's the perfect shade of mauve/pink that looks almost nude on my olive-tan skin. The formula is smooth and non-drying but the staying power requires fairly frequent re-application.
I usually get about 1-2 hours of staying power (with a slight tint left behind), but I also talk more than the average person at work (in health care).
So perfect! I plan to buy another 1-2 if I can find them!

Ulta has redone all their lipsticks. They are on sale right now for 4 dollars a pop, and with my 3.50 off coupon I went and got four of them. I am not a dark person, I have medium to fair skin, and my lips are pretty light without much pigmentation to them. I ended up returning 3 out of the 4 lipsticks because even though they looked dark in the tube, they barely showed up on me. One in particular looked so dark I was afraid it would be too much and I barely saw it. The one I kept was not dark but it did show up. I exchanged them out for the Brilliant Color lip glosses and they are good, although I liked the old glosses as well. I am hesitant to repurchase their lipsticks which is a shame, since I used to buy them all the time and found the testers were true to how the colors would show up on my lips.

I got two colors from the Sheer selection, and had to return them both. I don't recall the names, but one was sort of a plum and the other was a nude. The nude was crazy frosty, and the plum was way too dark. Before I could even consider how to doctor them up and make them work, I realized I could taste the weird synthetic smell in the back of my throat, and I hadn't even licked my lips. When I wiped it off, it left my lips all scaly. Not sure what the wear is like on these, because I couldn't stand to have these on my lips.

Got a freebie lipstick in the color Parisian pout. Its a natural mauve color that's very moisturizing and looks good against my NC 30 skintone. My lips but with some color kind of shade. this is my first lipstick from ulta and the only thing that bothers me is that the lipstick doesn't twirl all the way down into the tube like my Revlon and Mac ones do. Other than that I'm impressed with the formula and color

I love when Ulta creates those big value kits chock full of eyeshadows, blushes, glosses & lip colors etc.. One of the kits I got had 2 full size tubes of Flirty Pink & Sheer Pout. It was fun to try all the products. But these lip colors were pretty junky. The tubes were the cheapie kind where a half inch of the lipstick sticks up out of the tube (But what can you expect for a value kit). A big indicator of cheap lipstick. Sheer pout is a neutral brownish pink which felt a touch hydrating when applied. Flirty Pink is a shimmery mauve (which looks terrible on my light/med beige skin tone w/ yellow undertones) which felt a touch drying to my lips after application. The taste of the lipstick is chemically (and it just kind of creeps into your mouth, its not like i was licking my lips!) & the scent is that "im a cheap lipstick" plasticy chemically scent. These do not entice me to purchase any of their lipsticks in the future. Especially for the $8 pricetag or even the BOGO specials they run often.

I have the Ulta Silky Wear Lipstick in Blush Coral, a warm rose pink. It is a bit darker and warmer than my lips (which are reasonably pigmented). Since it is relatively similar in color to my lips, I don't notice when it wears off until hours later. It does seem to last a few hours on me. I don't usually wear lipstick, mostly lipglosses and lipbalms.
I keep this in my purse, in a pocket so it hasn't opened on me. The silver/clear cap is fine for me.
I probably wouldn't repurchase since I'll probably still own this for the next several years, until I lose it.

I am so disappointed! First, let me tell you, I LOVE Ulta. I can spend 3 hours in Ulta just like my husband can spend 3 hours in Home Depot! So, I made the 40 minute trek to the nearest Ulta store to stock up on my Ulta lipstick and waterproof eyeliner, etc. Very fun shopping, but I have to say, each time I go, they are ALWAYS out of both Black and Brown/Black automatic waterproof eyeliner. Stock up, people! I chose Chocolate and Raisin, which are both good, too. They did not carry my favorite Lilac Shimmer lipstick so I bought two new shades (for me): Sheer Blush and Sheer Mocha.
Got home, tried them on, and UGH! Are they making these with Ivory soap now??! The taste is horrible and they're completely unwearable. The soapy taste doesn't dissipate either. I tossed them in my purse anyways, being the makeup junkie that I am. Well, to add insult to injury, the caps don't stay on!! I definitely don't need topless lipsticks floating around in my purse. I noticed the lipstick cases are a new design from my prior Ulta lipsticks.
Ulta, whatever you are doing to your lipsticks - please stop! I'm afraid to buy another one now.

I have the Ulta En Vogue lipstick - purchased during a GWP promo at my Ulta store.
First of all, the shade is beautiful so no complaints there. The packaging is sleek in its silver tube and the color is stamped on the bottom in case you own more than one tube. The price is $8 which isn't terrible but not necessarily a beauty bargain either.
The formula needed to be more hydrating for me - this lipstick feels like lipstick. I know that sounds crazy but I like a lighter and sheerer lipstick that doesn't feel waxy. I dislike the smell - it isn't as overpowering as L'oreal or Rimmel but it is faint and enough for me to notice.
I won't repurchase. To tell you the truth I am having buyers remorse. The shade is probably dupable but I'll layer some gloss over it and call it a day since I am on the fence.

Ulta lipsticks are really good, I own two that came with a free gift when I bought some products. The two I own are spice and nude shimmer. They are both very pretty colors. Spice is kind of a toned down cinnamon-ish red color, and nude shimmer is the perfect nude lipstick for me. Spice is a very pretty color, but on my fair skin it is a bit dark so i usually put a nude gloss on top and it looks just fine. Spice would probably look very pretty on many people with warm skin tones. The lipsticks are moisturizing, smooth and have great color payoff, I really like them.

I recently purchased 4 Ulta Lipsticks during a sale. I LOVE these! They feel very good on my lips - makes them feel silky. I purchased Buff Shimmer (which is my favorite), 2 of the Nude Spice (which is a reddish shade - very pretty), and Nude Shimmer. Since the price is so cheap, and the colors are very pretty - I will definately repurchase!

I love the sheer lipstick shades. They are so smooth and feel so moisturizing. I also layer the shimmery shades. I haven't bought any new lippies in a long time from Ulta so I don't know if my shades have been discontinued like the previous reviewer said... now I have to go to Ulta and find out!
