I just adore this bronzer. Even though I'm pretty pale right now (NC20) I wear the Tan shade and it gives a very natural 'glow'. It's buildable so you don't have to be too careful when applying it, but if you go heavy-handed you can overdo it.

There is very little shimmer (if any) but I wouldn't say it's completely matte either.

I found this at my local Big Lots for $4 so the price isn't bad either!!

First of all, I love that this is a pressed bronzer in a compact. It is so easy to travel with especially if you have a tiny purse! This looks amazing when I have a light tan. I use it on my cheeks and nose for a sunkissed look, and it makes my skin look naturally glowy :) great product!

Love it when it first goes on. But on myself, gets a little greasy later in the day and transfers away from cheeks, where I want it, and transfers down onto whole face. Maybe need to try with another or minimal moisturizer under neath, but don't want to change chose right now. Might just use for neck and chest for the SPF benefits.

Pros:
Natural looking sun protection.
Finely milled.
Lasts all day.
Looks natural.

Cons: Not inexpensive for a drug strore brand, but the quality equals or betters much more expensive products offered at fancier venues.

In about ten minutes after application, your skin looks completely natural, but you it really controls the late date oily look without accentuating fine lines. Because the product is so finely milled, it lasts for ages.

Awesome product.

I was so excited about this product because I am so fair and most bronzers are too dark for me. The product itself looked great on and I used it mostly for contouring around my forehead and cheeks. It looked really natural looking but I noticed break outs around my forehead where I rarely breakout at. So I stopped using it for a while and let it clear up. I tried it again and sadly a day or two later I had a couple of spots come up on my forehead. Overall, it is a really good product it just didn't work out for me. Though I did have an issue with packaging, soon after getting it the snap broke and now it won't close properly.

This is HG for me. I picked it up because it was a buy one get one deal. This and NYC Sunny are my 2 favorite bronzers. It is just so pretty and natural looking. I use Estee Lauder DW foundation which really pulls all the color out of my face. This bronzer really puts the life back into my face and it looks so healthy. I haven't seen this on the store shelves. I hope it has not been discontinued!

Update 1/2012,
Still use this every time I apply bronzer to my face to bridge the gap between face and neck/upper chest, color. I have as mua says, "hit pan," and bought a limited edition wnw spf bronzer to take the place of this. The problem is that it broke. Twice. The spf is also just 15, and its shimmery where this while not a true matte, seems more a satin finish. I like the color of the wnw better, more red undertone, but this still works better for me over all so I will repurchase in time for use in warm weather. Still do not use this on my face where the color appears too unnatural on me.

I have tried nearly all the PF bronzers. I love the Solar one with the lighter shade on top. I trust the brand in general and find it has products that are very useful, not just pretty. I don't like this on my face at all. Its just not right color-wise and the texture looks a bit "off" there, however I do use this almost daily for my neck. After I use bronzer on my face my neck is a bit paler so I use this to bridge the color gap since it has a good SPF. I still have an spf lotion under as well. On my neck its perfect, flattering, not dry looking, stays all day, helps protect my skin from looking spotted and leathery. I am almost out of this and am amazed since I didnt think I had a use for it initially. I also use it as e/s, just swipe and go since again, it has an spf.

I have the worst time finding bronzers that a) look natural on my nc15 skin tone and b) do not break me out in terrible cystic acne. I've been wearing this bronzer for the last week and so far I am happy with it. The color in "Natural" does look like a natural tan, with a light hand. It's lighter than NYC Sunny and matte, which I prefer. Also no breakouts so far! The price is a little steep for a drugstore bronzer, but I think it is a nice product and will re-purchase if it continues to not break me out.

Physicians Formula Healthy Wear bronzer is a solid choice from PF, which seems to concentrate on powder products and bronzers. It boasts "SPF 50" protection; I don't think anyone could possibly apply enough powder to reap the full benefit, but having physical sunblocks is a nice extra in this smooth, finely milled, talc-based powder. My shade, Fair, is a nice, non-orange light tan, suitable for contouring. There's mica in the powder, but it looks matte on my skin. It lasts well over primer and foundation or powder. Also, the compact is a bit less bulky than most of PF's offerings and seems more sturdy. The mirror is in the lid, so I don't have to fiddle with lifting the powder to get to the mirror, etc. It's definitely one of PF's better offerings.

I actually wanted to get the Healthy Wear Powder Foundation SPF 50, not the bronzer. The bronzer was on sale at Rite Aid, BOGO free. I had 2 coupons for PF bronzers and I figured, hey why not. Besides, Rite Aid has good return policy for cosmetics if it doesn't work for me.

I have light-medium, sensitive, ance-prone, oily asian skin with very strong yellow undertone. I get quite tanned in the summer due to love to swim and run. I don't need a bronzer because I get very tanned. I just need good SPF powder. Finding foundation and powder is usually a nightmare and I am not willing to pay over $40 at fancy department stores for someone to match my skin color. I prefer very light coverage anyways. I figured that maybe a bronzer will match my skin better. I bought light. The powder matched my skin perfectly! It went on matte and didn't cause acne. It made my skin appeared much smoother. I did have to blot oil after about 2 - 3 hours, but that is with just about anything I use. I reapply after blotting.

I read that some people doesn't like the brush. I actually like the brush the bronzer came with. kabuki brush does work better, but it is not portable. I prefer less stuff in my purse.

LOVE THIS STUFF!

UPDATE 11/30/2011: Now that summer been over for a while. I am much lighter. For reference, I am NC 40 in the summer and NC 25 in winter. I am using the regular Healthy Wear foundation SPF 50 in Natural Beige. Natural Beige matches my much paler winter skin.

I really like this bronzer, I bought it in Light (NC-20/25) and this color reminds me of EM's Soft Bronzer. Application is smooth, shimmer free, natural looking and doesn't feel heavy. It might not provided "bronze" for some, but if you are so inclined, mix Light and Medium for a deeper color that won't look fake or scary. My favorite thing about this bronzer is the SPF 50 - love! Will repurchase.

I am around NC25 and bought this shade in medium. If i want to contour, i grab a fluffy angled brush. If i want to use it as a setting powder, it's a bit dark for my skin color, but i just grab a large fluffy brush so the color can be dusted on. Denser brushes pick up more product.
I love how this is multi purpose! The quality of the powder itself is good- it is very fine, and you only need a dab or two with your brush to pick up color. It looks great on the skin, very natural and matte on the face.
I also love how this has a high spf, perfect for summer! I like to apply spf year-round though, so i may get this in light for winter time as medium is a bit too dark for all sale.
As for the price, I got this for buy one get one free, plus an additional 5 off! The retail price is a little steep, so i recommend getting this on sale! Try it out!

I got two of these in light plus the shimmers blush and highlighting for only $1.13!! There's a sale at CVS and I had some coupons but what would have cost me over 40 dollars was almost free! You just can't beat that. But anyway, I tried it today and I'm so glad I bought this. It was perfect. It wasn't orange at all and even though it looks slightly shimmery in the container it pretty much applied matte. Love it. And I'm pretty light but this doesn't look too dark or dirty. Its perfect. I bought a revlon bronzer a few weeks ago and it was a total fail, it made me look orange and was too shimmery. Just the fact that I got this for so cheap was worth buying it but I would definitely recommend this even at regular price. Its an awesome product.

Edit: This actually makes me very oily and I just don't find myself reaching for it.

I bought my 1st one at ulta about 20% off ($14 orig) and i loved it so much I got more at cvs for about $3 each during a sale. At first I did thought that Medium was too light when I swatched it on my arm.But after using a kabuki brush and using it like a "setting powder" or a "tinted mineral veil", I noticed my face looked smoother and glowing at the end of the day. As if I went to the beach! Not kidding. Did not broke me out either. Im NC30 winter and NC35 summer for ref.

For some reason I can't find a PF foundation to match my NC42 skin but I do love their bronzers. This one is a perfect shade for me, blends easily, and it has almost zero shimmer, and it has SPF. Love the cute compact too. I got it at Rite Aid for almost nothing since it was on sale and I had a $5 coupon. Great product

I got this in Tan, and FINALLY after trying gazillon bronzers, this is the least glittery/shimmery bronzer I have ever tried that doesnt look dirty. Im NC40, next time Im going to try light because it would match my skin perfectly. It covers the skin evenly too. UPDATE 08-2011: I finally got this bronzer in LIGHT color, and I dont know why it took me so long to try this again. Oh My Goodness!!!!!!!!!! this matches my skintone exactly. Its not as yellow, but the tan color is dark enough to use this as a foundation. I use this when I am running outside. It gives me sunprotection, and it doesnt sweat off like liquid makeup. It doesnt break me out....which is another plus...actual sunscreen lotions break me out terribly. This was hard to find, but I was able to find this at Rite Aid. I have posted my picture above.

Age: 36-43   Skin: Very Oily, Fair-Medium, Warm   Hair: Black, Wavy, Medium   Eyes: Brown

I do not know whether any one noticed this or not but the numbering from powder foundation goes up and then the products are no longer called foundations but they are bronzers. There is a slight shimmer but not that noticeable. I tried Light and Medium and honestly, I apply light all over and Medium to my cheeks, forehead and chin as a bronzer. The coverage is great but if you are oily, you should wear a primer. I am NC 30 so my match would be Light and Medium is a bit darker and tanner. So if you are my coloring, you can go either way depending on how tan you want to look. It is true that the bronzers look lighter in the case versus how they appear on the face. So if you are very pale stick with the lower numbers. When I wash off my face, I notice that my skin looks incredibly nice and smooth. This tells me that the products are good for my skin. I believe these are one of the best products of PF for any skin type.
