I'm very happy about this purchase even though I had doubts about the color for a while. But they are all very flattering, neutral and practical. And for the colors you get, I think the price is worth it. I always use my fingers to apply eye shadow so I liked the fact there was no brush included. The texture is smooth and very easy to apply. Other than the thin layer of shimmer on top, the colors do not contain much shimmer. The blush can also be used as eye shadow. I have used my fingers to apply the blush on my cheeks and it works fine too. Would definitely repurchase if I ever run out.

When I first got this, I wanted to type my review long time ago, but I didn't know how to create a new post. I really love this and the first person who described the palette, described it well. I don't understand the shimmer comment. The first two applications will have some shimmer from the golden dolphin, but after that, I don't see any shimmer in the shadow or blush. I don't like the shade of the blush because it doesn't really compliment my skin tone. I've never owned Chantecaille powder blush before, but the quality of it's formulation is superior. I loved how you can wet your brush to achieve a stronger intensity of colour for eye makeup. The staying power is better then Chanel, I think.

Good purchase if you need a palette of basic colors to travel. If you have a lot of eye shadow colors in basic browns and grays, this could be a waste of money. I would have liked a little more matte and less shimmer. For Chantecaille the price for all four pans is a good buy and the compact can be refilled.

Very wearable color, good quality, lots of products give me allergies, this one not. It has a little bit of shimmer, the color doesn't show so much, but it's very soft, easy to blend and build up. It doesn't crease, and it last for whole day long. I brought it in April, but didn't like it so much at that time because of the color is just too light, especially the blush, doesn't seem to show any color. Lately I started to use it again, and found it's a very good palette for the summer. It gives the perfect soft natural summer look.

Beautiful neutral palette. All the colors are wearable. The reviewer below gives a good description of the shades. I gave it a 4 for package quality, because like room for at least an eyebrush in a palette for traveling. Just when I swore I would never buy another palette, this one came along.

This is the perfect, neutral palette for everyday wear. It contains four separate eye and cheek shades, each of which is divided into a lighter and darker tone. They all have a bit of shimmer, but it's definitely not over the top. The package itself is a stunner: encased in a rose satin pouch, the palette casing is a deep steel color with just a hint of pink. Inside, there are no brushes for touch-ups in a pinch; but this makes the case small enough to carry in your purse. The colors are embossed with dolphin engravings; these are highlighted in shimmery gold that wears off after a use or two, leaving behind the perfectly subtle, gorgeous shades. There are three eye colors: a base that blends a champagne and a very light rose tone; a contour that combines a light with a deeper taupe (more on the brown than the gray side); and a liner shadow that mixes a deep grayish taupe with a true dark steel gray. This last eye shade applies really well with a liner brush dampened with a bit of their Rosewater. The blush is a slightly cooler version of "Laughter" combined with a highlighter that looks very much like the one from the Bengali palette. Although you may carefully swipe separately from both halves of this shade, I find that a regular blush brush swirled over the whole cheek color, then applied on the apples, will give you the rose flush / perfectly highlighted cheek in a jiffy.
All in all, beautiful to look at and incredibly easy for even a makeup novice like me to use--I have worn this palette every day since I have bought it two weeks ago. Another bonus: the fact that all these wonderful colors are in one palette enables me to throw my makeup on in about 5 minutes while my one-year-old son clings to my leg.
