I have used this name brand and the CVS brand version of creamy petroleum jelly. If you've ever irritated your skin with acne meds or chemical exfoliants, sunburned or had dry skin, this should work amazing! I had all of the above, (AHA, BP, sunburn and dry skin due to Celiac Disease). This is so inert, non-irritating and smells great--not heavy. I use the OCM with 50% castor oil and 50% Neutrogena sesame oil. Then use only a dab of Alpha Hydrox 10% Enhanced lotion mixed with Olay Regenerist Micro Sculpting Cream. Top it off with a pea-sized amount of this creamy skin protectant. I use SPF 25 during the day. I will buy this forever! Healed my skin in 4 days. Excellent primer for MMU.

I absolutely adore this moisturizer!! I have very sensitive skin that gets clogged easily and I have redness in my face. My face gets really dry and flaky so easily and this moisturizer is the only thing I use! It never breaks me out (if anything it heals acne) and it keeps me moisturized forever!
I simply put on a small amount of an spf moisturizer and then I put some creamy jelly on my hands and wipe it around then I will pat it on my face and let it sink it. I then follow up with any makeup I feel like wearing for the day and my skin stays soft and moisturized all day. I use this at night as well!
I only wish this came in a smaller 1oz tube as well to use for traveling!!!! Maybe they will someday :)
I <3 vaseline!

Wow - HG lotion and cream! I have all kinds of stuff around the house and in my car (like Amlactin, Eucerin, Udderly Smooth, Main n' Tail Hoofmaker, various health food store creams...) to combat my dry skin and nothing was working that great. Then I found had an old tube of creamy petroleum jelly (like 10 years old) from the DollarTree and I used some. Poof! I was converted. Suddenly my skin is soft and supple, not greasy. I can not resist using it on my face and around my eyes. I have been using it all over for several weeks and my skin never felt better. I bought more at the DollarTree - they have two versions, one by Personal Care, and the other I guess is generic - it's black and white, dist. by Greenbrier and has a slightly milder scent. Both are great.

If you hate body lotions/creams and are too lazy to use them but have awful, scaly dry skin like yours truly, please buy this. It is not the least greasy moisturizer I've ever used - it's just not greasy at all. It's not one of those disappearing moisturizers that evaporates into the air or slowly settles into the skin. It just binds to your skin, the skin eats it up, who knows what is going on here but it is great fun and very effective. It has a consistency slightly softer than regular Vaseline and zero grease factor. My other favorite disappearing-act of a moisturizer is Nivea Soft, but that is much lighter and more "wet" in terms of formula and texture. This Vaseline Deep Moisture cream is thick and rich, making it perfect for the body and hands, although I may be tempted to try this on my face as well. Probably the least inexpensive and effective drugstore moisturizer out there along with Nivea Soft. Buy it. There is just no way I can see anyone going wrong with this. I knew there was reason I'm not into body lotions/creams - it is because this exists and it's all anyone really needs.

This is my chapped/cracked hand HG! (This and Aquafor). I find it hard to use during the day, because it stays too greasy to use it at work--however, use it at night and wake up with awesome hands and nails! It DOES give lasting moisturization, too! Awesome stuff! (Am allergic to everything, and this gives NO negative reaction.)

The BEST moisturizer and cheap too! When my skin is so dry it hurts, I can put this on without fear of stinging. Also, it's one of the few products I can use that will actually soothe itchiness from bug bites. I use it on my face (under makeup) daily and at night, and it doesn't break me out. It can get greasy if you apply too much, but if you wipe off the excess with a tissue you should be fine. I've been using the 4.5 oz tube, and after almost 3 months, it's still lasting me! If they ever discontinue this product I'm screwed!

I like this! I picked up a 4oz tube for only $3 at a local walmart. It's very creamy, moisturizes great, & doesn't smell rancid like some non-scented lotions do. I'd definitely repurchase.

The full name of this product is Deep Moisture Creamy Formula. It's a white cream that comes in a tube. It's fragrance-free and is advertised to heal severely dry skin and provide 18 hour moisturization. It makes a great hand cream for dry to very dry skin. I've also used it on my face as a moisturizer.

Best lotion for my dry hands and feet I have ever used. It can be greasy if you use too much but it sinks in well. Has made my lizard hands better than ever. OMG soooo cheap too.

This is the ONLY thing anyone in my house uses. It works so incredibly well. It can be a bit oily for your face, so don't use it in the morning before you go outside at ALL. Use it at night after you cleanse or exfoliate and you will wake up with baby soft skin. I guarantee it. It really soaks into your skin and my hands are a completely different texture since I started using it.
It says it's fragrance free, and I know this will sounds insane, but has anyone owned one of those cupcake dolls as a child? It smells like one of those!

I was amazed to find this was hella lot cheaper and less greasy then the 8 hour cream. This treats and heals my dry patches (from bp and sa) much quicker. I got it for around $3 plus tax and it's 4 oz! Will last super long time. I usually just squirt 1/3 pea size, rub hands, and pat. Works like a charm.
I definitely would not use this on my forehead during the day though, makes it a greasy mess. More so than 8 hour cream.

When I first tried this lotion I was absolutely amazed by how UN-greasy it feels. I tried my mom's and assumed it would be thick and greasy but was astounded when I saw how well it absorbed into my skin. It does the wonders of petroleum jelly without the greasiness. It is a bit thick so a little goes a long way. And this may sound weird but I love the scent. It almost smells a bit musky. Love love love everything about this product. Great on hands and feet, elbows, knees, dry patches.. you name it.

Excellent for extremely dry and sensitive skin. This cream is thick but it absorbs well and skin stays moisturized all day. Replaced my old hg Avon Moisture Therapy Intensive Hand Cream. Comparable product that is just easier get a hold of. I am so happy this is fragrance free!!!

I use for my extremely dry hands, extremely dry feet/heels, to removew my waterproof mascara and even on my baby's diaper rash sometimes. So many uses, so inexpensive, much less goopy than regular Vaseline - what's not to love?? Everytime I use it for the aforementioned reasons, it workx wonders. Absolutely NO complaints whatsoever - HG!

This stuff (or the Stop and Shop knockoff in the baby section, to be precise, Cottontails in the cute tube) has worked better for the dry and irritated skin under my eyes - kind of a mess for a 24-year-old thanks to sleeping on my face, insomnia, stress, and daily use of benzoyl peroxide - than anything else I've tried. I'm so glad I gave this a chance as an eye cream! It's super cheap, soothing, and I've seriously seen a difference in my undereye area since starting this about a week ago. No need to spend $20 on a fancy eye cream when this works better. I'm a big fan!

Kei_fujo rec'd this to me for my extremely dry hands and I'm so glad she did!!! My hands healed within a couple of hours which is a miracle! I have eczema and this winter has been particularly bad but this has been a godsend. I just bought 3 more tubes to stash throughout the house. Love it!
Adding: This is also great for diaper rash type irritation for my kiddo and works wonders for his poor chapped little face.

i am a hairdresser and have my hands in water and chemicals all day. i can layer on a million different lotions during the day and they just get washed off as soon as i get a new client. i was nervous to try this with my hands being in people's hair all day. i didn't wanna leave anyone with greasy hair!!! but i was at my wits end this winter and finally grabbed some. it didn't take long for it to become HG for me. not only does it moisturize but it also lasts through a couple washings and protects . yes, it takes a few minutes to sink in. but it does eventually. i recommend this to anyone that has problems with dry hands. i can't say enough about how good this stuff is. i had tried everything. even bag balm with gloves which did nothing for me. i won't be without this unless they stop making it!!!!

Just bought my second tube. I can't believe I hadn't tried this product earlier!!! First, I have reactive, eczema, itchy skin. My hands crack and peel easily. They got so bad this winter, I was desperate. Aveda Hand cream is my HG. Well, that caused much burning. The only 2 creams that worked were Eucerin cream in the jar and the Vaseline Creamy formula. I use this cream about 3 times a day and the Eucerin cream at night. Cured my red, peeled hands and for the first time, no more cracks on the fingers! I have tried EVERYTHING. (FTR, Eucerin and Vaseline alone, didn't work for me either. I have to use both daily). This stuff works a touch BETTER than the Aveda plus it's fragrance free and CHEAP. $2.98 at Target. Seriously. I prefer this much over Aveda and I never thought I'd say that. Aveda was my HG for years.

I can not go though winter without this cream. I go though four tubs of these during the winter and my skin is moisturized from day to night. I put it all over my body everyday and I feel so smooth. Just wished it smelled better.

This product is my only holy grail. Much better than Vaseline, La Mer, Olay Regenerist, Sisley, La Prairie and the list goes on. I have very fair skin that is extremely sensitive to Vitamin A products (Retin-a and Tazorac), AHA/BHA, Glycolic acid, and Vitamin C. I use this product as a moisturizer at night, and then I apply Tazorac or Triluma. When I apply Tazorac or Triluma without first buffering with the Creamy Vaseline or when I use another moisturizer, my face stings, becomes red, and peels like crazy. However, when I buffer with the Creamy Vaseline, I have none of this (except minimal peeling now and then). For me, this product is really amazing. The texture of my skin is much improved since now I can use (and tolerate) Tazorac. I am acne prone, but I do not have any breakouts as a result of using this. The texture is a bit thick, so a small amount will suffice. I like to put it on when my face is slightly damp in order to thin out the texture. To me, this product has a faint, but pleasant smell.
