Being a self-tanning junkie, I try a lot of different types of self tanners, and this one is by far the most convenient!
When I'm feeling lazy, and am looking for color fast it's literally so easy to swipe this on after a shower and then wake up the next morning looking like I just got back from vacation.
They're year round, I use the classic in the winter because its a lighter bronze, and then the plus in the warmer months as its a dark bronze!
ALWAYS BUY THE HALF BODY TOWEL, it covers what it says it will and a little more and its the same as the full body in price, way easier to use as well.
Application: (Obviously exfoliate and moisturize dry areas) Get some cheap gloves to hold the towel with and unfold it, rub in circular motions starting with the legs and work up your body. When you open a new towel (usually when I get done with my stomach) DO NOT TAN YOUR FACE FIRST, the towel will be full with tanning formula and therefore your face will be the darkest, start with your chest or arms. Honestly though, there is not many ways to get a streaky tan with this product, just work in sections because there is no color guide. It fades like a real tan would, and doesn't smell too bad!
I use the tan towel mist too, its a refill for towels, and can be used on its own, (but can be hard to rub in).
All in all, a very good quick fix for great color, and is way more convenient than rubbing in a lotion and waiting for it to dry, definitely one of my favorite self tanners on the market!

These are as good as it gets. No smell, easy to apply, quick drying, no streaks. These give you a subtle glow, which for me means they make me look alive during the winter months. Very highly recommend. Give these a shot, they are worth the price. You won't regret it.

I love these towels. I am 52 yrs old I have used alot of self tanners and this is hands down the best one. No streaks, no blotches, and no smell. With others I had problems with the tanner settling into fine lines on the face and neck but not this one. They dry quickly no more waiting for hours to get dressed. No staining of my clothing or sheets. One towel was sufficient for my entire body. I did my arms, legs, and trunk area by that time the towel was starting to dry and i used what was left for my feet and hands. I wore gloves so no palm staining and did use a little lotion after about 10 mins on my wrists, ankles, knees, elbows and top of my feet. I will defiently buy again.

Ding ding ding! I think we have a winner. I've been searching for a replacement for my former, go-to self-tanner. Chanel used to make a great self-tanning spray that never turned me orange, made me smell, or leave tell-tale streaks. Of course, they discontinued it. I've tried many products over the years. To say I am pale would be an under statement. My legs rarely see the sun and are very white. I've tried many products. Gradual tanners seemed to work the best but even Jergens Natural Glow left streaks and had that classic self-tanning odor. Loreal used to make a Sublime Bronze Gradual Tanner for Fair Skin that I preferred, but it was discontinued. I was turned onto Tan Towels by a Youtuber who said they worked well, not as your primary self-tanner, but as a way to camouflage any streaks left behind by your main product. Kind of like a back-up quarter back. I can see why she didn't recommend this one as your sole means of self-tanning. The color is subtle. That's fine for someone as fair as me. Application was easy, I don't smell, and my skin feels soft. I don't see any streaks. Very happy. Check these out on your next trip to Ulta or visit HSN.

Good product. Never streaky or orange. Doesn't get you dark so if you're looking for a light glow, try these. Expensive, so not worth it in my opinion because it takes too long to build up a tan.

Last year I used these and I thought I loved them. This year I used then again and I hate them so, I don't know if they've changed the formula or I somehow became tan towel impaired but this year I want to burn them. I noticed they have a new formula so maybe the old formula has become some kind of a downgrade.
For one thing the towel is barely big enough and I'm a small person, 5'1" and size 8, these only cover my legs and barely my arms, forget about my back.
The other issue is that you really don't want a lot of towel because you're going to be so blotchy and streaky the less body covered the better.
So, again, the search for a decent tan in a can continues.

I have pale (English) skin and at this point in my life I just won't lie in the sun any more or go to damaging sunbeds. I used to, but I don't even LIKE the look of a dark tan any more. I just like a slightly, very slightly bronzed look in the summer. Saw these a couple of years ago on TSC (Cdn. Shopping Channel) and took a chance. They are really great - just like a thick tissue that you rub over your body and in 2 hrs. you are slightly bronzed. You do it again if you want darker. No streaks, ease of use is wonderful. Smell? Maybe not the best, but I'm used to it now and it doesn't stay. I know they don't sell them in the stores in Canada - maybe States?

I have always used lotion style self-tanners and found them so tedious to apply and absolutely hated the greasy feeling skin and waiting to be able to get dressed. I didn't have the highest hopes for the Tan Towel but I had seen it many times on HSN and thought, why not. I have to say, I really like them. I really appreciate the "towel" application concept because its just easier and covers more ground quicker because you don't have to sit there and get a hand cramp with all of the rubbing in you have to do with a lotion-style tanner. It gives a very natural looking bronzed tan to my skin. I know others have experienced orange-ness but I haven't and I think that some things just don't work with an individual's skin chemistry the way it may work for others. I will say to make sure you exfoliate your body and pre-moisturize so that the tanning solution doesn't cling to your dry spots in an unattractive way. I usually start the towel at my legs because that is where I want to have the most product be dispersed. By the time I get to my chest and face, the towel is only semi-moist which is fine for me because I don't want to over-do the face area! I'm a slim girl and one full towel is just enough. i know others say that they can do their whole body with the half-body towel but I don't see how that is possible unless they are the size of a child. Forgot to mention, the kind I love are the Full-Body Plus, the ones that are for a darker tan. SO pricey at Ulta @ $29 for 5 of the Full-Body Plus towels.. would def recommend getting them either from HSN or Ebay! Will repurchase!

I am a girl despite my user id name.
I have been going tanning since 1983 year round when the tanning bed first came out up to 2 months ago, going 3-4 times a week. When the beds first came out I would go for 2 consecutive half hour sessions, then they improved the bulbs
In 1991 I was diagnosed with MS, eventually having to cut down tanning time because the heat from the tanning bed started to affect my body
Eventually, I had to stop going tanning
I brought a tanning bed for home use, using it once a week.
About 2 months ago I brought tan towels from HSN. OMG!. After using the packets 4 consecutive days, my tan was just as dark as when I started tanning 28 years ago
I use something like Purrell to clean hands
THIS TAN TOWEL WORKS.

Pros: Dries fast, even color, smell is ok and it did NOT color transfer on my undergarments or top.
Cons: Color was not dark enough with one use, the towel dries out way too fast and starts to roll up in my hand making application very hard and frustrating, one full body towelette dries up after using it on upper half or vice versa.
I have an average/slender frame and I am able to do the top half of my body with a FULL body towel but it is too dry to apply any to my lower half.
Using many different self tanners, these provide me with light color. Understanding I am not going to get a look as if I spent 2 wks in the Bahamas but I have used other tanners that provide a deeper, richer color. I can, of course use another towel a couple hours later for a deeper shade but this can get very expensive. I already have to use 2 for a full body app.
As the towel starts to dry with use it rolls up in my hands. I consistently have to unravel it during application. Very frustrating to say the least.
This is not a repurchase for me. Cons defin outweight the pros.

I haven't given self tanners a try in a long time due to nightmare orange results and that god-awful after smell they seem to all give you. Since then, I think they've come a little further. This one didn't seem to have any overly offensive smell to it. I tested this on my stomach only and woke up to suprisingly very natural looking color. I applied it properly, evenly in circular motions, but it was blotchy BLOTCHY!!!. Good thing I didn't do my legs and arms with this. It's a shame because the color IS very nice. One application changed my skintone about 2-3 shades darker alone. But the blotchiness and uneven look will never get me to use these again.

I have used all sorts of tanners and this one was horrible. It left orange streaks on my wrists but didn't give my skin any color. What the heck! I took it back to Ulta and I bought Sun Lab in Dark. Much better reviews and was only a little bit more expensive. Very excited to use it!

I've used several self tanners and I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I will say, on a positive note, that the color you get when using this product is great. Very natural... I only wish it was easier to apply. I tried the "circular" motions, going over all the areas several times, going quickly, taking my time, EVERYTHING and I still end up with streaks. It's awful. I wish you could see where you are applying it because there's no way to know. The towels also dry out WAY too fast. I started cutting my towels into sections and keeping them in the packet while I applied a small section at a time. It worked better, but it's too much of a hassle. Sorry, folks... won't be recommending this one.

I love this self tanner, I have tried almost every self tanner out there, from BE to Dr. Denese, even Toni Brattin, And since I found this Product I dont need to keep looking, The Price isnt cheap for theese towels but it is worth it, I am no expert at self tanning and I get a perfect even golden tan every time!

This review is for Tan Towels plus. I've tried many different self tanners over the years, searching for the best one. I discovered these about two years ago and have never looked back. I get them from HSN so the price comes to about a dollar a packet for the 1/2 body. The color looks very natural on my pale skin, they dry quickly, the odor isn't bad at all and they are fantastic for travel. I honestly don't have anything negative to say about them. I've never experienced streaking. I work very quickly and rub them in well. Plus, they are one of the few self tanners that give nice color on my face. I do find that they work best if you let them develop longer than the 4 or so hours listed on the package. LOVE them.

I bought a pack of these a couple of years ago, but only got around to trying them now. I have been using them on my arms & I have obtained a nice result & golden colour. The key with these is to apply in a CIRCULAR motion, not up-down, because then you will get streaks. If you miss a spot - you definitely notice! So it's worthwhile just going over the same spots a couple of times to make sure they have been covered - you don't get doubling of colour. And once the towel starts feeling dry, then that means that there's no more left to apply. I found that one towel is not sufficient for both arms - a towel each is required. But I needed about 2 or 3 separate applications to get the colour I wanted (I have a light complexion). And also it's important to use gloves when applying, because the formula absorbs quickly and dries quickly, so you have no hope of getting the product out of your hands!
But that's also one of the good things about these - it dries quickly, so you can get dressed about a minute after applying. There's no residue left on the skin. The smell is not so nice - it's not a fake tan smell, but some other fragrance that has been added to mask the fake tan smell. It's quite strong when applying, but I found that it fades after a while. I know that since I bought these, they have been re-packaged, but not sure if they have changed the fragrance.
Overall, these are great for when I just want a quick tan and don't want to feel like I've got anything on my skin. As long as they are applied correctly, it is possible to obtain a nice even, golden tan from these. They could still improve them though by changing the fragrance to a less overpowering and more pleasant one, and also maybe formulate them so they have a tint to them & you can see where you have applied and which spots you have missed.

Complete Crap. Left me streaky, and I am an expert in sunless tanning. They smell awful! These are overpriced. Even the medium to dark barely shows up and I am pale (NC25 or lighter!)
I bought the us version from drugstore.com so I can't comment on the canadian version. I won't be buying again.
