I have naturally curly hair that I straighten, which is more on the dry side. I only wash it every few days and was hoping this would freshen it between washes. This was a waste of money. It is heavy and left my hair looking and feeling greasy and heavy. My hair is thick and doesn't get weighed down easily. I thought it might have been greasy because I needed to wash it, so I used some the day I washed my hair and got the same result. It looks and feels greasy no matter what I do. It's odd, because it's more like a greasy flexible hold hairspray. I've been using it to slick back my hair when I want to wear a pony tail, but only when I'm out of regular hairspray. It makes my hair look and feel sooooooo greasy! The smell isn't strong enough to be considered a hair perfume. It didn't neutralize any smells, like the smells from cooking. This was a disappointment all around. I wouldn't even recommend this for people with really dry hair. Save your money and by a real hair perfume.

this stuff smells luscious! I love the scent, it's very citrusy and it definitely has lasting power, I can usually smell it washing out as I shower after a day of wearing it. I'm not sure if it makes my hair shiny or clean looking, but it sure makes my hair smell good.

I really love the concept of hair fragrances, and this one is really good. I only gave 4 lippies because of the lasting power (I would say, 5 sprays on my hair last for about 3 hours). Overall, it has a really fresh, shampoo scent and it doesn't weigh your hair down or make it look wet or anything. I love that Tresemme makes this product, as hair refreshers are hard to find! I would highly recommend.

I don't know why this product is getting bad reviews. I get oily hair after not showering a couple of days and when i use this, it doesn't do the best job at absorbing the oil but it does make my hair smell good, and look shiny. If you have oily hair, its up to you whether or not you want to get this but just know this doesn't do a great job at getting rid of oil. Its only about $5 including tax at a local target, and this does a hell of a job better than their dry shampoo spray. If your someone like me who just wants something to remove odor and look like they just showered then i suggest this. Overall, great product !

I work in a restaurant, and my hair smells quite gross after my shift. I don't want to have to go home and wash my hair again, but I want to get the smell out. This does the trick. It claims to refresh your hair and make it smell better, and it does. Works well for it's intended purpose.

all this product claims to do is get rid of bad scalp smell after not washing your hair... it is not a dry shampoo and it doesn't absorb oil. i use the tressemme waterless shampoo before i use it. i like that the refreshing mist actually gets rid of the smell and doesn't create a gross mix of fragrances.. people always tell me they love my hair, little do they know i only wash it twice a week.

I was looking for something that would kind of act as a spray-in conditioner on days I don't wash my hair. However, this does nothing as far as conditioning my hair. It DOES smell great, so if you need something for that, I'd recommend it. Otherwise, I have no use for it. Won't be repurchasing.

I might be using this wrong, I don't know. I am well aware that it isn't going to clean my hair whatsoever, and I mainly use it to tame frizzies (which it only does a little), and take the smell of smoke out of my hair in the morning before I put it in a ponytail for work (which it also only sort of does). I love the way that it smells, and the ingredients look good, and as though build-up wouldn't be an issue, but it seems that when I use this more than once a week, I DO get build up (despite the fact that I conditioner wash my hair every single day, and shampoo once or twice a week), and it weighs my hair down a bit. This is odd. I think that it must be because I use other products with similar ingredients. I can't figure it out. I love the way that it smells, though, and wish it would last longer. Maybe I have to use the dry shampoo with it to really see any results. Dry shampoo scares me, and I will not be using it.

I honestly love this stuff! I have a parent that smokes & it seems to always linger on me - that & other things like food smells. This has a fresh citrus kind of smell to it that kills the other odors making it smell just like i got out of the shower :) worth the buy for 2$

Not impressed, but I didn't hate it as much as I hated the dry shampoo which was a b*tch trying to brush out. This is a scented spray that is supposed to make your hair smell nice. It smells nice in the bottle but I couldn't smell it in my hair. And it dried my hair out, too. It would have been nice if they made it moisturizing. The crappy top popped off and half of it spilled all over my bathroom floor.

This worked better than my expectations and a solution to a problem I have been searching for years. My 9 yr old has had really funky smelling scalp 12 hr after being shampooed. So even at next am his hair smelled bad. Only solution would have been shampooing him right before school but that was unrealistic when you are barely able to get the kids to school on time. I tried alot of shampoos including head and shoulders. He does not have dandruff or oily hair, just smelly. I tried the fresh start foam but that required alot of rubbing in and rubbing off with a wash cloth during hectic mornings.
This mist is great. Few sprays and it deoderizes and leave a clean scent. Unlike the Angel hair freshener by Thierry Mugler. Yes, I was that desperate and spent about $30 for a small spray bottle and Duh, didn't like the perfumy smell on a 7 yr old boy (at that time).
I would seriously pay $50 for this. I have one in the bathroom and one in the mud room by his jacket, so I can quickly spritz him as we run out the door :)

love this hair fragrance. can't live w/ out this or else i would hate to cook after showering! i hate how cooking at home leaves yucky food scents lingering on my skin and hair. w/ this i just spray it on and it makes my hair smell so fresh as if i just shampooed and makes the food smell disappear. i happen to love the smell...smells like shampoo to me. great stuff if you like to cook and hate the smell it leaves your hair. my friend who smokes uses this on her hair too and she loves it. great stuff...too bad so many bad reviews. paid under $5 at walmart.

I think it's funny people are giving this a bad review as a dry shampoo - it's a hair refresher mist, and makes no claims to clean or take oils out of your hair. The Fresh Start line has 2 other products to take care of that :)

I use this stuff all the time, especially after using my Tresemme Dry Shampoo (which I love!) it gets rid of any odor, and leaves your hair feeling nice and smooth! I have a hair mask which works awesome, but smells kinda funky, so I use this after I use that too, and am just left with the fresh citrusy smell.

Would buy again!

I work in the restaurant industry. Most often after coming home, the restaurant/ food smell lingers! I have curly hair that cannot be washed daily because it would dry out, so this refreshing mist was definitely what I was looking for. Pleasant fresh scent that neutralizes any existing odors. Works much better than trying to mask it with perfume. Would purchase again.

This spray is not a dry shampoo, it's a mist refresher that is supposed to combat smells and "refresh" your hair. Tresemme has dry shampoos but this isn't it. I thought the spray helped with a nice light scent, calmed any frizzies and was ok. I could see using this after the beach or a day outdoors, to re-work your hair.

It doesn't work, that's my thing. Dry shampoo is supposed to make your hair less oily. This does nothing. The smell is okay though.
PROS: It may take smell out of your hair for some people, I smoke and it doesn't take the smoke smell out of my hair.
CONS: IT DOESN'T DO ANYTHING. Seriously, Tresemme is usually good but they messed up on this one.
OVERALL: Save your money and don't buy this.

Horrible. Major disappointment. Big time. And I'm really surprised since it is a TRESemme product. I've been using dry shampoo for years, and this one definitely takes the cake. It leaves my hair a horrible texture, dull (they say to use some Shine Spray to fix that- but why should you HAVE to buy two products in order to produce an acceptable result?), sticky, clumpy, and it leaves an unsightly grey film (and my hair is light ash brown, so I can't imagine what it would do to someone with dark hair). And it isn't in any way "refreshing" as it feels like (and looks like) I'm spraying my scalp with hair spray. I've tried brushing it out (which I usually don't even have to bother doing with other dry shampoos), but this made my hair a matted mess. I think they put a volumizing agent in the product so that it lifts at the roots, which in theory is a good idea, since oily hair can be limp. But still, it made my hair a horrible texture. The scent is ok- it smells like citrus, but that doesn't make up for anything in my book.
In order to make my hair look somewhat decent, I had to really shake the can each time I sprayed it (note: NOT each time I used it, but rather, each time I sprayed it on a different section of my head). By the time I'd applied the product on the various sections, my arm felt like it was about to fall off. And even then, I thought my hair still looked gross. I had to buy new dry shampoo since I can't even bear to continue using this one to finish it up.

Not a fan of this product. The smell is horrible, way too overpowering and fake. It doesn't really refresh your hair or make it smell any better, it just masks your hair with a rancid citrus-y smell. There is only 100-and something mL in the tiny bottle which cost me $4 on sale.

Bottom line? I will not repurchase - I probably won't even continue using it.

Every mist I've ever purchased has, IMO, smelled horrible old lady perfume. I read that this one smells citrus-y and light. I bought a bottle at a reasonable $3.50. I tried it on my post three day washed hair. My roots were starting to smell rank. I sprayed this onto my fingertips and worked into my roots and scalp. My hair smelled much more fresh. I threw my hair into a bun and went on with my day. Good stuff - will buy again.
