This blush would be beautiful on darker skin like NC 45 and darker. I am NC 35 in the winter and NC 40-NC 42 during the summer and with my current NC 35 skin, this blush makes me look like I got punched in the face. It makes my cheeks look bruised. If you're fair skinned, definitely skip on this blush.

I LOVE this blush. It gives the a natural flush to the skin in a not quite pink but yet not plum shade. I like how it's matte so it doesn't highlight my pores or makes me look oilier, but somehow it gives me a really pretty glow that I adore! I think this color suits darker tones better, as it's quite dark itself but it's sheer so with a light hand anyone could use it! Love love love!

This is a great plum neutral blush on my skintone. It's a sheer tone shimmer but really a little goes a long way. I usually wear this in the summer when I'm darker.

I really liked the cremeblush color "laidback" but it really broke me out. I struggled @ the MAC counter trying to find that right shade of matte, sheertone blush that would make me look alive and fresh. I have found Loverush. All I need to do know is improve my technique as I am getting older & my face is changing.
It does have a bit of a purple undertone, I guess I'd call it plum...and it looks alot darker in real life as someone pointed out, than on the website. I found the plumish shades look more natural on my olive skin...and if you have olive skin stay the hell away from "Frankly Scarlet"
Take my advice, plummy pink shades ;)

I paid $21 for this blush at Macy's yesterday and I was a bit upset about the price but the color pay off is beautiful on my Golden Dark Brown complexion. it shows perfectly on my skin and even blends well with my other mac blushes. Going to check MAC out to see if it's the same price there because I definitely want to stack up on it.

This color is tricky because if you apply to much it looks straight on bad eighties drugstore purple. However with a light hand and good blending the color looks great on my dark skin. It comes off a plum its a staple in my collection.

Wow im a double minority im around NC50 and I like this blush. I use it sparingly and blend it out and it gives me a great flush of color and blends right in. I was apprehensive because its a purpley color and I believe WOC are beyond hideous purple blush but this works for me.

Hmmm, I'm not really sure about this particular color. I bought it a while ago & I don't think I've used it too often, I don't know maybe I have been too heavy handed with it because when I did use it it seemed too much for me. I guess I should try it again & not use as much product because its a sheer tone color & shouldn't appear as much as other blushes. However, I don't think I will be getting this color even if I did use it up.

Back during the MAC FF sale I ordered Loverush based on the online description and picture. When it came I was put off because it looks very dark in the pan and have just been using the other blushes that I bought at the same time. It's been sitting in my blush palette ever since just staring at me, making me feel guilty for spending money on something that I'll never use. However, I was playing around with makeup today and decided to give it a try and I was very pleasantly surprised. It looks gorgeous on my pale, neutral skin (NW20 for reference but more neutral than cool). Like others have said, using a light hand is key...but even with a moderate hand it can still look natural. I'd imagine that this would look beautiful on a variety of skin colors and tones. If you've seen it at a counter and passed it up because it looks very dark, I'd suggest trying it.

Loverush blush by MAC is a beautiful cooled burgundy color in a wonderful matte finish (sheertones are my FAVORITE). It is very pigmented and goes on smoothly, not streaky or patchy. This is a much better choice than Fever!
This shade is one that compliments darker skintones amazingly. I am around an NW40-43 and when I brush this over the apples of cheeks and up to the hairline, it just looks fantastic--a subtle (if one does not use a heavy hand) red-berry flush while providing some shape to the cheeks.
A must for WoC! With a light hand, I think it would suit medium to light skintones, too.

I LOVE this blush! It compliments my skin tone so well! It was my second MAC blush purchased again by my mother. it's a deep plum colour which adds alot of colour to my cheeks. It's easy to apply and glides onto my skin flawless, I also like the fact that its sheertone so the texture is very nice.

LOVE this colour and is the most dramatic blush i have ever owned. Being pale I was a little frightened of it at first, but with a light application, gently blended it really brings out my cheek bones. Plus it looks fabulous paired with a nude eye and pink lips. The pigmentation is concentrated, but a light application it can be very sheer.

Just picked this blush up. I went in looking to get Fever but this turned out to be closer to what I was looking for (thanks leeyao for the recommendation!)- a deep burgundy brown which I could also add as a tone to my brown e/s. Gives a nice sculpted look and shows up a very warm color once applied. Perks up my e/s when I applied just above the crease. I'm used to wearing more nude blushes in the winter, so this is a bit out of my comfort zone for me, but I'm really loving the flushed look it gives so far. I think this will transition into the summer nicely since I'm looking for something other than pink or coral to wear when I have more color on my face. Will update as time goes on and I have a chance to wear it more.

This is the great dark burgundy/plum color that I have been looking for! I am usually a NARS blush girl, but for some reason they don't have a color like this so I was forced to branch out to other brands. I have C2/N4 skin and Loverush goes on perfectly with a 187. It is a sheertone so it isn't too dark; it has just the right amount of pigmentation for such a dark color. Will definitely purchase again.

I love this!!!!! this is my first MAC blush!!!!! YAY!!!!! let me just say if you have a darker skin tone (i'm an NW45) this is the pefect blush, you don't have to be as "light" hand as those with fairer skin this is an everyday blush for me!!!!
