I will start with smell, this smells so good! I put some in my palm and smell it everytime before I put it in my hair because I am in love with the smell. My boyfriend likes it too so bonus~
The texture is like lotion. It spreads amazingly so I don't use too much or else it turns my hair oily. I have medium hair at the moment and use only half a pump. It protects my hair, normally after I get a hair trim my split ends come back in about a week but after using this I haven't seen any after 5 months. It lasts a real long time since you need so little. I also use it when I curl my hair. Sometimes it gets waay to curly and excited so I smooth some of this over my hair and it goes into the exact look I want and again, smells greeat. I have no idea how I have survived without this. Now that I have it I can't imagine being without it <3

I have medium to thick hair and its pretty dry, and i use a lot of heat tools on it. I picked this up because its cheap and really liked it! It smells flowery and it isn't super heavy on my hair. I apply it to my ends when my hair is wet or damp and i do notice a difference with split ends. =) ive gone through a few bottles.

I was really disappointed with this product!
I have medium length really thick hair with really dry ends. When I used it on my wet hair and let it air dry or on my dry hair after using a flat iron, it did make my hair LOOK nice and it does keep it from frizzing etc. BUT it makes my hair FEEL absolutely disgusting! When I ran my fingers through my hair it felt awful, like I hadn't washed in 10years.
I did find somewhat of a solution to this problem. The trick is to use heat on your hair after you've used this product. For example if your hair is wet apply the product and blow dry. If your hair is dry apply before curling or flat ironing. This makes my hair feel a lot softer than just using the product alone, but I could still definitely feel the product sitting in my hair.
overall i will not repurchase and I would definitely NOT recommend this to anyone. The pantene version of this is MUCH MUCH better and is around the same price. Buy that instead!

I am bi-racial and tend to get dry ends and this is great for treating them without being overly greasy and this is a great leave in also smells great too. It has a raspberry scent from the raspberry juice in it> I wouldnt call this a split end mender I would cal it a protector like it claims

My hair had been stuck at the same length for 3-4 years because of all the split ends I had! Even after trimming, they would still be there. Unbelievable.
My hair actually grew 2" since I started using this product in February! I use it almost everyday. HOWEVER I don't believe that it's a miracle product that does the job all by itself. It's more of an aide. You have to take care of your hair too. That means finding the right products, switching up your routine and diet, and maybe even packing away the straightener.
It smells reallyyyy good. Compared to my conditioners and gel, this smell lasts the longest. The only thing I don't like is how it builds up at the tip of the pump, so sometimes it squirts everywhere. But oh well, it's still the first thing I reach for when I get out of the shower.

This stuff is great and really keeps my ends healthy. I have been trying to grow out my hair and I have managed to get it pretty long with minimal trims, I owe this product for that. I got so many people hooked on this, especially my mom. She would sneak pumps from my bathroom and finally went on a hunt for it until she found it (finally) at Target. Apparently this is pretty popular because it is sometimes hard to find. It has a really nice smell too, like herbal raspberry.

I love this Leave In. I think I'm on my 3rd bottle. I use it as a leave in after washing my hair or as a moisturizer. It keeps my hair moisturized and i find it light weight so it doesn't weigh down my hair. This is very reasonably priced, around $3, and Herbal Essence has coupons in the paper very often. I would recommend this product for thirsty hair like mine!

I saw this on sale and swiped it up really quick because I was looking out for a leave-in to protect my already split ends. I could definitely see that it does something, but applying it is a hassle for me because it's thick and leaves a film on my palms after. It's best to apply ONLY to your ends when your hair is damp(not wet) as it's easier on your hands as well as easier to spread. After my hair dries up a bit I blow dry and do my normal routine. Inspecting my ends, the splits were less noticeable, and practically all my hair had splits in them so that impressed me. The ends were also smoother and less dry. I would not rely on this to protect your ends in the long run, I think it basically just coats and seals the cuticle so your hair does not split faster, but eventually you will need a trim. Any kind of heat styling damages your hair no matter what protectant you put on it so you only delay the inevitable.
My only gripe with this is that it's a pain to use because of the mess it leaves on your hands, and if you touch your hair before the stuff is dry it is sticky. I can't imagine there being no residue build up with regular use. I think there is a better product out there so despite the low cost, I don't think I would be repurchasing. In fact, I'd recommend using oil treatments versus leave-ins packed with silicones and other chemicals that could cause build up.

I brought this product because of the advert on TV, I haven't really noticed any changes in my hair but I do like the smell of it. Not sure if I'd buy it again though.

I purchase this product back in January and used it every other day until May. I didn't see anything special. A review here said that it contained alcohol which isn't good for your hair so I stopped using it.
I recently started using it again, and it just seems to weigh down my hair and left it a little coarse. Maybe the conditioner would be a better product

I have very long, thick hair; exactly the type that this product is made for. I bought this product and maybe used it 3 or 4 times. It now resides in my vanity drawer. I'm not saying that this product is bad, I just didn't notice any type of improvement or difference in my hair at all after using it. It felt heavy on my hair, and left my hair feeling that it had a thick coating over it even after drying. It just feels greasy, almost like I applied conditioner and just neglected to rinse it out. I will not buy this product again nor will I use the remainder of mine. I may keep it for summer time when my hair gets a little more dried out from the sun and needs a little extra TLC when i'm in the salt water at the beach. However I will not be implementing this into my regular hair care routine.

I came across this somewhere online and became interested in having it based on many positive comments. I ended up finding this on Drugstore.com on a B2G1 deal. I have short to medium hair that I'm trying to grow out and a half pump of this is amazing. My hair is glassy shiny, strong and after about 2 weeks, NO buildup in sight. Oh yeah, I'm a licensed stylist, too and fully recommend this as well as the shampoo & conditioner. My hair literally feels stronger & healthier and smells like heaven on Earth and this fits the tight budgets of many of us.HTH! :O)

I bought this about 6 months ago as I wanted to find a cheaper alternative to the Biosilk I was currently using. 1st impression was that this stuff smells very nice, totally digging the smell. However, my biggest problem with this product is the consistency. It is way too thick for me. It just feels clumpy and gooey when I put it on my ends. I feel like it just sits on the hair and doesn't soak in like my Biosilk does. And I don't feel that it helped my hair, in fact, I think it dried it out. So for this reasons, obvi won't be purchasing again. :(

this product is ok, i didnt really see a difference in my split ends and when my hair was slightly dry (it was still a bit wet) it felt like i had conditioner in my hair. when it dried, it felt like i hadnt washed my hair completely.
overall i didnt really care for it but for some people it really worked.

This is the second time repurchasing this item! It works great for my hair, I use it everyday! I love it! It has a great smell & does the job, keeps my ends moisturized! The one thing I would complain about, is the pump it's like a lotion pump & when you squirt some product out, it sometimes goes it odd directions, ( LIKE ON MY MIRROR OR SOAP BOTTLES) lol, but love the stuff regardless :D

This product is SO CHEAP. And does exactly what it is supposed to. Be a leave in conditioner for your ends. It does that just fine. Protects them, makes them feel nice & prevents split ends. It's really hard to overdose on product when it comes to dry ends, so the more the better. I put it on when my hair is wet and when it's dry just before I flat iron. One of my HG's.

Love this! I have fine hair, and I have a pretty firm attachment to my blow dryer, flat iron and curling iron. Unfortunately my hair doesn't share that attachment and suffers major breakage and splitting at the ends. I bought this on a whim walking through wal-mart, and am I ever glad I did! My ends felt soft and smooth after just one use, and in one week I noticed less breakage and splitting than I had before my bi-monthly trim! Plus it smells like my previous favorite herbal essences shampoo that was discontinued when they came out with their new line. I suspect the bottle I have will last me a while, I have long hair and I only need one pump to sufficiently cover my ends. Would recommend this to anyone, and I'll definitely repurchase if I ever run out! :)

I have horrid split ends. I bought this on a whim, because it was cheap, and I really wanted to slather something through my hair in hopes that it would be better than nothing. I was and continue to be very, very impressed with this product. It smells LOVELY and a quarter-sized amount through wet hair honestly does the trick. It really smooths things out, and gives a soft, shiny look. It works well with any other styling products, and is overall a 5, absolutely. I've only used this for a week, but already cannot imagine my hair without it. I will continue to buy this as long as Clairol will produce it. I should add that in general I despise the Herbal Essences line, so this was really a pleasant surprise. :)
